Johnny Deegan did that long jump at least 3 times during the motos. That sick turn for the pass on Vialle, JS tried saying Haiden saved it, but that’s exactly what he meant to do. That angle was just hard to tell. He approached that corner like road racing. It was sick. If people haven’t accepted it yet, this last outdoor season pretty much proves he’s got the mindset and skills 99% of the riders don’t have or won’t attempt at race pace. Kid is gnarly.

he did some axell hodges moves during press day too. on the cinco, landed on the back wheel in a wheelie and scrubbed the last roller a couple times. Matt Burkeen has a great shot of it in his press day vid around 9 minutes in

Amazing riding from both classes. I did notice Hunter trying Tomac's line through there a couple of times. Tomac just blasted through that face.
Watching Danger Boy is like watching Bubba again. It's clear that he's been bred for this. Like at no point was this not the path. When Brian blew it in her, he said "This one is going to be a champion."

Deegans pass on tom shows how turn tracks are so important. That pass was born on the turn track
Deegan was hitting it during the motos. He did it on the very last lap. When he hit his handlebar on the ground that’s what stood him up 🤯

Deegan was hitting the (5) jump after the covered bridge. I witnessed it during moto 2 after he passed TV. He used it to gap Hymas. What was so cool was the amount of preload and the timing thereof. Kid is psycho in such a good way. He gets my lazy ass off the couch and to the races.

Juju hit the jump after the bridge as well. Idk how often but it was definitely cool seeing someone besides haiden send those jumps. Probably find a way to remove it next year since it's getting more attention this year vs last season where they never mentioned him doing that.
I think they should’ve left the jump at the finish line. Haiden is super talented and he just is always full send. There’s no doubt he’s the man to beat on a 250 and I’m really excited to see what the future holds for this kid.
Deegan is a pleasure to watch. I was a fan of Brian and my son is a fan of Haiden, so therefore i am too.
Also, Deegan hit the cinco a few times in moto 2. he passed hymas with an absolute HUCK over the cinco

RJ was on Vital Mx yesterday talking about Deegan hitting the huge quadriple jump after passing him. RJ said Deegan was pulling 2 sec a lap hitting that thing and that in no way was he wiling to even try it. He said he'd try to find time in other places on the track but no way
Jettson does stuff on the track that nobody else is willing to do and so does the Deeg's , one of the biggest reasons why both of these guys are so tough to beat .

Yeah was jumping it last year too in his rookie season but it was never shown on air 👍
Hi from england.watching deegan is something just insane.the jump he was doing was insane but a must watch
I was sitting in the corner where you show Tomac’s line. He (and everyone else) was losing time with that line. Look at Vialle’s line in that section in 250 Moto1. He was hitting the culvert jump on the left side, using a braking bump to land in the dip past the flat and single out.
Chase used Vialle’s line in 450 Moto1 and was making time there. Deegan picked up on the line in Moto2, as did other riders.
Tomac and Masterpool (among others) were hitting the culvert jump in the middle or right, landing on the flat and slamming into that single face, and losing time vs the other line. Look at the video, it was much faster.

Deegan absolutely sent the bridge jump during the motos. Not every lap, but he did the quad plus one after going under the bridge during the race. I was standing by the fence at the landing both this and last year. This year there was another rider who cleared that too, but I couldn't tell who it was. Think he had a red or orange and black jersey. Anyway, not to be that guy, but Haiden did do that jump this year, but you are right .... not because he had to.
In my opinion that is a more impressive jump than the finish line jump, but they are both pretty damn fun to watch him hit.
4:53 We were doing berm pics one day just playing around..I did one very similar to that..Looked awesome in the pic!! The part that was not caught,was the end result..The bike went one way & I went the other..🤣🤣😭😭

Aggree, Johnny clearly wasnt watching the race.. Because AP was also doing that jump Sexton did in same way and Tomac wasnt onlyone jumping into that double. And deegan jumper the bigger basically every lap. 😂 very analitycal. lol

To me, there are wimping out on all the jumps corners and how rough it used to be back in the days we were riding them through the corners and the bikes did it anyway

Hey Johnny. Thanks for the great analysis, as always. Do you intend to make a video of the last MXGP race (Switzerland)? It started as a muddy(ish) race and it later became a tackier/grippier. It was a really good race with lots of different line choices, aproaches and passes by the riders.

smart of them to remove the abrupt landing for that huge triple. most guys doing it were barely making it, and someone was gonna get hurt coming up short during a race while trying to not give up a line.

I've ridden parts of this track during a GNCC and it's fucking terrifying, the hill jumps in the back are just massive and vertical.
Man the sport seriously needed Haiden. The next JS7 as in the most entertaining rider on the track.

At 4:08 , Deegan slows down!!! To let Vialle think he has a chance in hell. This is what JS7 did to 22 at Hangtown that year. Slowed down on purpose.

Look at the footage again of Dangerboy making a pass . I’m wondering if his front end didn’t wash out a little. It was definitely incredible but look at the front of the bike. If you could let me know if the pass and body position were intentional to make the pass.

First Moto standing on top of Godzilla Dillan Schwartz hit the pre-jump looking back at another rider, greased the angle and jumped pretty far looking back the whole way.

JCoop with the Hany style!!… Im pretty sure Deegan was doing the ‘5jump’ during, just wasn’t every lap. I wish he would’ve just pushed Vialle all the way to the outside banners instead starting the ‘cat & mouse’ game. Then commence to check out, like he did. Regardless, it was an awesome race to watch!!

Moto has become sooo fast, the riders training has become so intense, the bikes are just so good, the risks are way higher…why not more money for the racers, mechanics, truck drivers, etc…20th place at a golf tournament is 100’s of thousands of dollars…wish there was more money for the sport…Deegan sending it…wow…
