Great haul!! Our Children are grown and on their own, but I have always thrift shopped. All those pretty clothes and appliances will be a good blessing to your family!!
Nice hall.. we refuse to buy new unless it's just something we can't find... I have a ongoing list of items we are looking for.. well I should say we do buy undergarments and socks new.. but I look for those on markdowns and clearance sales and stock up. All small appliances and all furniture is bought used except for our mattress. Our large dinning room table mg husband had made for us years ago and it is a solid all wood table that will be here long after we are gone... It just makes sense to buy used.
I absolutely love to thrift! Those flowy skirts are so pretty! AWESOME finds! If you ever get Ellsworth way try the Community closet...they always have dresses and skirts! Also they have a FREE shed! I found several jumper style dresses in the free shed. They usually keep it fully stocked. Thanks for sharing!
You did great you got tons of clothes for that price. We always look for clothes on the clearance walmart racks. We plan for clothes because my kids go to public school i give each of them about $100 for clothes if it goes over a couple dollars its okay so that happens in August now grandma buys them each a nice pair of sneakers, backpack. Socks and underwear are bought at 2 times during the year they get them in summer and at christmas. Christmas and birthdays of course they have things that they want and they may get a couple of wants but they also get some things they need if they need pajamas, or pants or shirts they will get those on birthdays and Christmas. I think between clearance racks, buying out of season for the next year and spreading things out throughout the year is how we cut expenses. One other thing we do is hand me downs if something doesn't fit me i pass it on to either my daughter, mother or aunt were all within 3 sizes of each other and so if you outgrow something pass to the person smaller then you we also do some garage sales during spring and summer. We also try to keep school outfits to 3 pairs of pants with 5 shirts and either they can alternate the pants and where them 2 times in the week unless they are dirty. We try to keep the clothing budget to about $200 for each of the kids. My husband and I are home all the time so we have around the house clothes and i keep 1 nice pair of jeans and a few shirts. Hope you have a great week.
Great Haul!! i go thru the dig thru goodwill where they weigh the clothes.i get super good deals. i think u did better than i do. sometimes i get some clothes from walmart. they will have pants for one buck and shirts for one dollar.i grab them.some times dollar general has super good deals.i want to re-design some of my clothes. i also shop for our little grandgirls at the dig thru goodwill. i think they call it weigh and pay.
My youngest is now 24 and his sister is almost 28. I'm no longer shopping for them but I always have a list of things my daughter is on the hunt for, for her children.
I wish we had more thrift stores down here in the southern part of the state. We have to travel a ways to get to one. I love those skirts! Nice outfits!
Yes Im glad we have 1 locally I was surprised I found so many things. We usually travel to Bangor which is 2 hours. It hard with thrift stores because what if you travel and find nothing?
I have a love-hate relationship with leggings. I think as outerwear they are far from ideal. However, as it's now winter here in Australia, I have several pairs which I wear under long skirts and dresses for church. When you've got a long skirt or dress, and you're 6'0" tall, it's hard to get tights that are long enough. Leggings are long enough and happen to be warmer. And when paired with boots and hubby's thick work socks, this girl is toasty warm.

I’ve never heard of the dig through! How neat!
Nice selections
What an amazing haul! I have such a hard time finding modest skirts. ❤️❤️ Thrifting is definitely the way to buy clothes!
Yes they are so hard to find!

@@mommabear2many Good point! That’s a long way to travel and not find anything. I’m glad your shopping was a success!
What an awesome blessing of things for the price. I really watch for clearance and buy thrift as well. New to your channel
SO good to have you! Yes great to have good deals that day!
Great finds... What type of canasta game was that is it different? I've been playing that card game for years, I didn't know they made different ones?
Not sure the difference

You might need leg warmers 😂
@@mommabear2many Noooo, I remember them way back in the 1980's when I was in high school
@@vegemitegirl1971 heehee
Is that little girl throwing dead fish into a suitcase?
No we went fishing she was putting fish on a freezer tray to freeze for our animals. Although the thought of that is too funny!
@@mommabear2many 😄😄 I was distracted by what was going on behind you lol. looks like a good fishing haul as well!
@@mjones5131 yes it was!
