I totally agree with the comments on covers of classics especially from great bands like the Cure, but the Big Pink are fantastic and i never thought i would say this, but this is great!
nah, it's nigh impossible to wreck a cure song. i like this, makes me feel like i am back in amherst in college listening to 4 am new wave wamh or wozq way back in the day
This is actually my favourite from the 'Pictures of you' CD. I really like it and see it as a completely different song to the original. So I don't think it's necessary to prefer one to the other, or compare how close it is to the original. Just listen and enjoy them as two different pieces of music.

The Cure isn't my favourite band however they have some good songs. This cover is one of them.

I like the Big Pink but this adaptation is pretty God-awful.
