I’m an older American. One thing I noticed over the decades is that the terrorists tend to attack on Jewish holidays. One of my earliest memories of this conflict was the Yom Kippur War, named after the holiday it began on. ETA: I get it - both sides attack when they think the other side will be caught off guard. It does make sense from a military viewpoint. And, no, I never worked for the CIA. I worked for NSA in the 1970s. Most of the attackers didn't even know about the attack the night before it occurred. The ones attacking the wall had no idea 28 other spots were also being attacked. So, what I would like to know and find very curious is the target list. All of them I would expect from a terrorist group except dentist offices. I mean it's strange. Out of all the other targets you could perceive to put on a list... Dentist offices are prominent (assumption) on the list that you hand out to the rest of the organization. Someone in the leadership of Hamas must have had a bad experience with a dentist in his lifetime. Possibly, a clue here leading to an identity? I don't know. Did you watch the video? They had maps showing where to go - with the school and youth center circled. They also had the procedures to handle abductions - which matches what happened.
Mainly because the details of the attack were originally kept to a handful of people for operational security. Far more secure to give the 1500 terrorists written instructions at the last minute instead of having briefings or electronic communications with instructions that can be easily monitored.
