      When henry was at monaco, his movements were more explosive. At arsenal, they were more fluid and graceful, maybe because of the training methods arsene wenger used which was heavily based on coordination. It's quite remarkable cos henry is 6ft2 and it's rare for someone at that height to be stylish in movements and technique. Kaka was also similar to henry.

    • @EddyGirón-r4k
      @EddyGirón-r4k 2 года назад +8

      @hfc By including Baggio and Zico you're basically dismissing your own credibility as a reliable unbiased commenter. Zico was very talented yet he lacked the AURA that comes with true elegance. Bergkamp and Zidane were extremely elegant not only because of their talent but also all the tangibles and intagibles they displayed at the field.
      Bergkamp always looked calm and unfaltering when executing, even though his body movements looked stiffy at times, all of the rest of his skills would bastly compensate for that, that's why no one mentions it, as his skills and presence outweighed his sporadic lack of body control.
      Zidane on the other hand had even bit more of skills than Bergkamp's and his stare was absolute, increasing his field presence. Because both Berkamp and Zidane had that physical archetype, mostly reflected in their faces, Zico ultimately fails in that regard. As for Baggio, he DID have that physical archetype, but wasn't elegant when executing, there's a difference in looking elegant and executing elegantly, it's safe to say that people want both embedded in a player in order to catalogue him as elegant.
      Laudrup wasn't as elegant as Zidane and Bergkamp when it comes to his PRESENCE, but he was an unbeliable elegant executioner.
      Henry has been described as the Michael Jordan of football (and it's understandable), the charisma, presence and skill set of both are EXTREMELY noticeable; both Zidane and Henry had that stare in their faces, that instills fear in their opponents (that's why is better not to look at them when you're the opponent) however, Henry unlike Bergkamp and Zidane, had an astonishingly body control that I haven't seen, not even in Michael Jordan, the ability to compact your body in such a manner that you'll be able to bypass through a really tight space, of course it lasts just a second, but that's why I can only label it as "body movement control IQ", to be cognizant of the right time to do it, that's also why his hip control at any instance was supreme, helping him at both shooting and sprint maneuvering.
      Henry was indeed elegant as he moved like a ballet dancer, a football ballet dancer with POWER, the original RONALDO R9, he had power too, but was a wrecking machine, Henry would tiptoe his way into defenses.
      Basically, you can't get any more elegant than that and if you can't cope with that fact, that's your problem.
      I agree with Faraaz Khan comment, Henry was explosive at the beginning, became dynamic and graceful at Arsenal.
      I'm just happy I saw people as they really were instead of blinding myself for no good reason.
