It's literally a 8 minute long spiritual experience for me. I have trouble of falling asleep at night. So for the past few days i just listen to this with my eyes closed and idk sort of imagine myself sitting under a waterfall surrounded by lotuses. This song is so calming and peaceful but at the same time it makes me feel this inexplicable energy. And don't even get me started on the beauty of the composition i can talk about it for days. Everything is perfect. This isn't just a song it's an fatal addiction.
For some (good) reason, the average Keralite has a deeper appreciation of traditional arts than other parts of India. Agam brings this great essence of Keralites to the whole world!!
I rememeber the time I stayed in Kollam back in '09 and was enchanted by the cultural ecosystem. Despite an amalgamation of various religion and their cultures, you realise that none of them has forgotten their roots. I was soo addicted raga aahiri and i started to play it in my guitar with down tuning and all and a week after that surprisingly agam released his one "celestial nymph" it was a pleasant surprise for me i was aslo thinking about this kind of a same flavour! Congratulations to agam band for such a great composition, just loved it.
My perception about guitar being an instrument purely for western music, was cleary demolished by you and Prasanna sir. Never stop creating music. The band is evolving. Hats off to the team. The blend is perfect except a certain slips here and there. But its humane. All the very best.

I've always maintained that the electric guitar is a perfect instrument to play Carnatic music. Now I have a video which i can show people when I tell them this.
Kudos to Agam for clearly producing a better drum sound that Dream Theater these days. These drums are sick man. Love the drumming and especially the sound. Also the guitar tone is sweet!
If I remember correctly, they do state that DT is a strong inspiration for them. Also, Yadhu's killer drumming skills form the core of the band's brilliance, I feel. It keeps them all tied together so perfectly!

In tamil, there's a saying that goes like, aAhiri pAdinA pasI theriyadhu [You never feel hungry when you sing Aahiri Raga]. I feel there might be a little correction in the saying, aAhiri kEtAlum pasI theriyadhu. :D Keep up guys! Looping the three songs in this album since the morning. Such a nice rendition! I was soo addicted raga aahiri and i started to play it in my guitar with down tuning and all and a week after that surprisingly agam released his one "celestial nymph" it was a pleasant surprise for me i was aslo thinking about this kind of a same flavour! Congratulations to agam band for such a great composition, just loved it.

My perception about guitar being an instrument purely for western music, was cleary demolished by you and Prasanna sir. Never stop creating music. The band is evolving. Hats off to the team. The blend is perfect except a certain slips here and there. But its humane. All the very best.

I've always maintained that the electric guitar is a perfect instrument to play Carnatic music. Now I have a video which i can show people when I tell them this.
This is definitely inspired from DT's 'This Dying Soul'. Fortunately they took the good parts of the song.
The guitar riff at around 3:10 ish is clearly inspired by This Dying Soul. Beautiful stuff though. I keep coming back to it. :)
Kudos to Agam for clearly producing a better drum sound that Dream Theater these days. These drums are sick man. Love the drumming and especially the sound. Also the guitar tone is sweet!
If I remember correctly, they do state that DT is a strong inspiration for them. Also, Yadhu's killer drumming skills form the core of the band's brilliance, I feel. It keeps them all tied together so perfectly!
