His rage at Darby Allin is because he sees the potential for Allin to have CM Punk in 2010 levels of success. And then Darby falls 20 feet onto glass and chairs. His rage is purely from the position of wanting to see Darby succeed. And that is why he is so angry. It would be something to see what Darby Allin could do in a place like WWE working a long program with someone like Cody Rhodes, or even AJ Styles, or a big man like McIntire or even Sheamus. Where the matches could be brutal, but safe and logical.

I was there, and I can tell you that there were a bunch of us yelling at Darby "Don't do it!". It made no sense. The rest of the match was fun, and I did get a video of Sting going through a table and a pane of 'glass'. It was a great night and one I'll always remember. Lex Luger was wheeled out before the match and got a big pop. The glass was tempered, which is different from 'regular' glass. That's why he just had small holes in his back instead of it being in shreds.

The Everest climb does not mean anything at this point. It is a guided climb. Sure accidents can happen but the thing that allows people to reach the summit is having scheduled the right day and getting the right sort of weather. It is more a matter of can you afford to fly there and pay the Scherpa(Sp). They have a route planned out already and the guide has made the climb dozens of times. It is still kind of neat to be able to be there, but to act like it is an accomplishment is a farce.

it is real glass, its tempered glass or glass that is on a windshield of a car its designed to shatter like that to cause less damage though it will still cause damage. non tempered glass will not shatter like that and will have large chunks and sharp edges that will give deep lacerations. You can tell the difference between tempered and non tempered glass.

I still find the fact that he never put anyone over as something that more people should talk about. If he was never asked to, then it’s a major booking problem. If he never wanted to, then unfortunate that he went down the Hogan path a touch (although I think it’s the former, and even if it’s the latter, it’s still not quite on the level that Hogan was at his peak). I’m fine with him getting almost no losses, but I feel like he should have absolutely put Darby over at least. Maybe even have a friendly rivalry before the final one with the Bucks that led to this match. Something where he needs to give Darby a “lesson” or something and he has to overcome him if he’s going to be on his own soon. But nope. A major missed opportunity I think. As someone who’s been a longtime fan of Sting, I didn’t hate this….but I also didn’t think it was very good. Just not a fan of the AEW style of “doing crazy, nonsensical shit just to do it.” But it was nice seeing Sting with Flair and Steamboat one last time.

it is real glass, its tempered glass or glass that is on a windshield of a car its designed to shatter like that to cause less damage though it will still cause damage. non tempered glass will not shatter like that and will have large chunks and sharp edges that will give deep lacerations. You can tell the difference between tempered and non tempered glass.
Corny's more mad at himself than anything..He's been giving old Darby the benefit of the doubt, & making exceptions for his own general standards regarding Darby for a few years now. Think he felt sorry for Darby being the actor in that "sex sent me to the ER" thing,bc he used to mention that every few shows when Darby first came out. I still find the fact that he never put anyone over as something that more people should talk about. If he was never asked to, then it’s a major booking problem. If he never wanted to, then unfortunate that he went down the Hogan path a touch (although I think it’s the former, and even if it’s the latter, it’s still not quite on the level that Hogan was at his peak).
I’m fine with him getting almost no losses, but I feel like he should have absolutely put Darby over at least. Maybe even have a friendly rivalry before the final one with the Bucks that led to this match. Something where he needs to give Darby a “lesson” or something and he has to overcome him if he’s going to be on his own soon. But nope. A major missed opportunity I think. I know Jim hates Darby now and Darby HAS been getting even more reckless of late, but they invested all this time with the two of them, to not have done anything there and have Sting put him over in that way is unfortunate I think.

It might not been as a grand spectacle as it would’ve been at WWE, but let’s not forget that when WWE had a chance to have a killer match when Kurt Angle was retiring they chose Baron Corbin when an able body Shelton Benjamin was right there. That could’ve revitalize Shelton career but what do I know I’m just a fan and that was the real retirement match from Kurt I wanted to see

Wolfpac Sting Will Always Be Dope
As someone who’s been a longtime fan of Sting, I didn’t hate this….but I also didn’t think it was very good. Just not a fan of the AEW style of “doing crazy, nonsensical shit just to do it.” But it was nice seeing Sting with Flair and Steamboat one last time.
