Volume two is such a huge scope enlargement. YOU’RE GOING TO ADORE IT! This is my favorite series and I’m so excited to have another booktuber duck in the Pirateverse pond!
I have it locked and loaded ready to go! I'm hoping to close out my month with Volume 2. Happy to be in the pond :)
@@AndrewsWizardlyReads have fun with the other 97% of the series :D
@@DerUnbekannte lol 😂 you aren’t wrong
Yessssssssssss! Absolutely love this review. If me and Andrew both love something, you just know it's got to be special because that almost never happens!
LMAO it's true. I instantly connected with this series!
I got so addicted to this web serial that after finishing book 9 I tried taking a break from reading it and read other things but couldn’t do it, I just kept thinking how much better The Wandering Inn was to read and just went back to reading it.
I LOVED the first volume and im planning on diving right back in after I finish a couple more books :) its super addicting
I did the same. But had to take a break after next volume
I am on book 4 and any time I was done with a book I tried to take a longer break, but I only managed to do that for a few days and then I just had to go back to it 😅
@@jegaevi7371 I have been struggling not to jump immediately back in all month long
Interesting -- this has been recommended to me many times, I'll probably get around to starting it in 2024
Awesome! I hope you enjoy it when you can fit it in
The Wandering Inn - Slice of life with goblins
Indeed!
There is no "tiny little bites" with TWI. Its always " just one more chapter... oh its 5AM already? sh... who needs sleep anyway?"
Lol 😂 I can sleep when I’m dead right
I just bought this book yesterday so I’m super excited to see how it turns out. I wasn’t even into the book for the plot at first I just wanted to pick it up cuz of the sheer size.
Well then you are in for a treat! Its Huge. I also happen to like the story as well :)
Just to clarify, following volume 2 aka book 2 the volumes are split into multiple book because they were too long to be release as the full volumes, book 10 comes out next month and is the first book of volume 6
Just means more for me to read. That makes me excited!
Great review andrew! Im happy you loved it! I also loved it immediately. I loved the ending to volume 1! Im sure you will love volume 2!
Thanks!!! It’s so gripping. The end was intense and I loved it. I’m so excited for volume 2
I've been following the series closely since Volume 2's release, I was immediately hooked on Book 1 and binged it and Volume 2 almost non stop. This has become without a doubt my single favorite series of all times. Even comparing it to other forms of media like Movies, Shows and Games very few even come close to the quality and experience I have listening to the series. From the heart warming times to the moments that leave me a sobbing mess for hours. This series brought a spark of joy into my life when I was at an incredibly low point, and I've already listened to the entire Audiobook collection twice as I now eagerly await the next volume next month.
I am glad the series has become so special to you! I am excited to continue my journey :)
I'm halfway through the second book and I flipping love it !
This is what I like to hear!
Absolutely loved book one. I didn't binge I did the chapter or two a night over the course of a month and it was one of the best reading experiences I've had in years. Haven't got to book 2 yet as 60 hours but you've inspired me go back sooner🥳.
I’m hoping to bookend this month by starting book 2 lol no way I’ll finish but I’m still excited
You could probably speed your pace and still be fine for a year or two and not catch up honestly. The pace the writer, Pirateaba, is putting out content is insane and the volumes and chapters both get length increases as well.
Omg! You’ve read this! It’s a daunting series
@@marilynsilver2477 It is super easy to sink into the story while the pages just roll on by
For all of the audiobooks currently available (9 at the time of this comment), I believe it'd take you roughly 16 days nonstop to listen to them all at single speed. I tend to listen at double speed, and it still took quite a while. Even with its length, it was absolutely worth the time to go through it.
It is a massive series and I cannot wait to get caught up on the audios that are currently out.
It just keeps getting better.
I am on book 3 and I am having a blast
This does sound up my alley, but it is such a long series! I’m trying to get through a couple long series rn. One day I’ll try it when I don’t have chunky books.
Thats fair! I think you will reaslly like it once you get to it.
The only bad thing about The wandering inn is that after you read it everything else you read after is not that great anymore...the bar is so much higher.
Wandering Inn is such a fantastic series!!!!
Always a joy to see others discover this wonderful story. It really only gets better from here.
I’m so excited to get more into this world!
I Just started the first chapter on the website. Pretty neat that they have all that there.
Its really cool for sure!
Excited to see you reviewing TWI!
Thanks! I really enjoyed it :)
The pronunciation for the narrator's last name is parse-now :)
THANK YOU!
This month I am finally going to start the Wandering Inn. I’ll be putting it off for too long. I’ll watch the review after I finish volume 1!
I hope you enjoy!
Started yesterday, 6 chapters in and alreayd blown away. @@AndrewsWizardlyReads
Just finished this book also. Five stars! Fell in love with it and the characters.
I’m glad you also had a fantastic time with it!
Alright. It’s on the list.
Bwahahaha
Woop Woop. Glad you liked it 👍
Instant favorite
I'm finishing book 11, cannot wait until the next one, which should be a bit late, April this year 🥰
Love every single book❤❤
I think so far the Last Light has been my favorite!
@AndrewsWizardlyReads
Fae and Fare probably my favourite so far, if I had to choose 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Such a hard choice!!!😅😅
I can confirm that it keeps getting better. I am finishing volume 6 (which is not even on ebook yet) and even though i really liked Volume 1, it is the weakest by far.
Look forward to Volume 5 because that is when it became one of my favorite things ever.
Looking Forward to it! im 1/3 through Vol 2 right now and having a lotof fun with the series.
God i wish in like 2 years they release another set of audiobooks with updated chapters
The chapter layout is confusing...
Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this series, one of my all time favs for sure.
I am REALLLY enjoying it
Book 10 releases on audio and book 11 in Nov! Gonna be a great fall/winter. Have you heard the audiobook? Aorry if you mentioned it, im only 4 mins in haha 4:37
Its soo freaking good!!
Yup I am doing the Audio currently for Vol 2! I am just about done and then ill dive into book 3 in a few more weeks
Its huge, but just like One Piece, you reach current and you yearn for more. It's so good and well written.
Lucky for me I am nowhere near current! I have a lot of story to look forward to
Wow, I wasn't hooked until volume 3. If you are already hooked, it only becomes more consuming!
I cannot wait to start book 3!!!
Wish she matched her age . She just seems so childish I think I could have gotten further if her age was 13 then everything would make more sense for the decision she makes . Dropped it not much longer after she met the patrols . In the. Beginning she says she can’t cook but somehow she knows how to make pasta from scratch how does that make any sense .
To answer the question its how the world she finds herself in works. People can just do things based off their class, job or level. They dont have to think about it. That said if it wasnt for you then thats perfectly ok
"The Wandering Who" by Gilad Atzmon 🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿🍿
Not heard of this
I am interested in this, but isn't it super long? I love a long series but this one seems overwhelming.
Yes. It is literally the longest work of original fiction in the English language. But it is not intimidating to read. It's very digestible and easy to read. A good way to think of it is if you've ever read a series that you just wished would keep going on, that is TWI. You're good to stop at any point and pick it up again later, but it ends up feeling like hanging out with friends after a bit.
It is incredibly long but also lends itself super easily being consumed a chapter or two a day.
@@OrionSupergan Agreed!
Ok thanks. Maybe I'll check it out after I finish the last 3 Expanse books.
So many good stories ruined by the stupid “I get teleported into a fantasy world” or “he/she woke up in a strange land…” it’s such a childish, tired premise BUT I have made an exception for this story - it’s still like finger nails down a chalkboard but this book is still worth a go - I hope it drops off during the later books
I like a good portal fantasy occasionally but it can get tiresome. That said I’m really enjoying this one
@@boredymcboredface8624 Hehe how far did you get? I admit I also wasn't immediately hooked and took a long break with it. But came back later and loved it.
@@veel60um …. Maybe a third of the way ? The other problem was I was doing the audio book and hated the voices. Did you read or audio book ?
Will I enjoy it if I don’t game and have no interest in anyone leveling up, ever?
Yup that’s not the real main focus
Hello, new duck.
Hello!
Doesn't Andrea Parsneau say her name on this audiobook? Well maybe I just know it from her other audiobooks. Yep you flubbed her last name pretty good. 🤣🤣
LOL i dont have the greatest gift for names lol
Another hungry duck is joining the ranks
Happy to be here!
Pretty much a Isekai
100%
Soooo…this spoiler free review has some spoilers…
I try to avoid story context that have big ramifications in the story. I try to cover the premise and character motivation and how the world works.
@@AndrewsWizardlyReads my husband and I are in chapter 30 and we’re hooked, but I’m worried the scope will get too large. My favorite parts are “What is Erin going to do next to make this inn work?” And whenever they go somewhere else I’m like, “So how is this going to tie in to Erin making her Inn more successful.”
@@rawrbeez6625 I’m very early into the second volume. And pacing seems very day to day! I’m glad you are hooked. I have no idea of scope yet as I’m still super early but I’m planning a what I love about the series video for September
It's just another Isekai and I've seen/read many shity isekais
As far as Isekai goes I think this one is done really well!
Not really, outside of the portal it has no similarities to anything you would call an isekai. No op protag, no harems, etc etc
@@sorryman105 It def doesnt have have any of that.
Nah, it avoids all of the usual pitfalls of shitty isekais. Hell, Ryoka is a deconstruction of the usual isekai MC - she's like athletic, smart, stoic, talented when it comes to fighting, etc. - and she gets her fucking ass handed to her all the damn time.
It's like the story is saying "No, that's not how things work over here."
