I live near Brownsville Texas and South Padre Island, of course we're keeping an eye on this one. During my 73 years I've learned you really can't tell what hurricanes are going to do once in the Gulf. In 1980, hurricane Alan was over 200 mph, it came directly at us. It basically stopped at the mouth of the Rio grande river then slid a little north , but what did hit here was bad. During that night the head of the Brownsville weather station said something on the local that probably turned me white. He said IF YOU HAVEN'T LEFT, DON'T TRY, MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON US. When he said that the hurricane was about 200mph This place would have been devastated. GOD DID HAVE MERCY ON US.
I visited Jamaica and it is such a beautiful country. I loved it. I went on a river ride, got to go shopping in town, the resort I visited was great. Swimming was terrific.

It did not cause much wind, no lightening, no thunder, mostly it caused warm air and rain and high humidity. I hunted in that rain because it was so warm tropical like air temperatures. Very strange for Michigan where usually if it rains we get cold rain and below 60°F air temp, so I could never last very long in that temp with rain. But that year I hunted all day long on Saturday and Sunday in 80°F temperatures and continuous rain. Quite an extraordinary experience. I do not recall any other time when those conditions hit Michigan, I am 72 this year. ben/ michigan.
Im in San Antonio and am crossing my fingers we get hit 😂😂😂... my favorite lakes are less than half full, we have been on water restrictions for a very long time, it is hotter than hell, and I want an excuse to get some days off work

Johnathan I use 2 different Sundial Armillary for the Equinoxes and Solstices Most people don't understand the seasons with the Earth Tiltes where the Sun is on the Hemisphere and latitude With all this there's also The Wind changes and Water temperature changes We're early since the Solstice where everything will start changing to coming North for Hurricanes can you do a video on explaining this better for others who don't know this Thanks Johnathan

Jamaica 🇯🇲 has seen stronger storm than Beryl in 1988 Gilbert. 180 mph and we bounce back in 6 months 😢😢
Gilbert was Cat 3 when it hit Jamaica. The difference is that we got a direct hit with the eye coming across the island. At Cat 4, Beryl is stronger.
