NH44 goes till Kashmir, if you would have noticed, we take Right turn to Chennai at Madurai. NH44 goes straight to dindugal, salem, krishnagiri and bangalore and goes up north,, Infact the route between Madurai and trichy is not good because maintained by state Govt as state road but it has 4 ways , Again from Trichy to Chennai, another NH starts which is NH45

Thats right what you said about the madurai - tirunelveli stretch. One of the most well maintained roads, and the geography beautifully varies from arid to fertile and green if you drive further south from tveli. I remember this stretch being one of the very earliest four lanes in TN.

I am also from ngl and i drive frequently from chennai to Nagercoil. My wife is from Tiruppur. Please try tiruppur to ottanchathram stretch. One of the best I would say

Usually 10 hours is adequate time. Monthly once I used to drive from east Tambaram to Marthandam, if you maintain 80 to 90 kmph is perfect.

Bro I'm from tirunelveli and i agree with what you said kanyakumari to madurai is one of the best roads in tamilnadu and madurai to dindigul is also a very scenic route

Next time try this route Chennai Trichy dindugal kappalur toll then proceed till kk.it is much better than the regular madurai route. I covered kk to Chennai in 10 hrs in my Nexon.

I rounding with Innova crysta Kumbakonam to Sri perumbadur to Krishnagiri to Salem to ulundurpet to Kumbakonam total 983 km starting 9:30 am finish 10:30 pm 13hours total time 1.5 hours rest Kumbakonam to Sri perumbadur my top speed 100km/h. Sri perumbadur to Krishnagiri my top speed 160km/h. Krishnagiri to ulundurpet my top speed 160km/h. Ulundurpet to Kumbakonam top speed 140km/h

Bro, I differ from you on the road stretch between Madurai and Tirunelveli, during rains water gets accumulated at the corners causing vehicles to loose road grip at high speed.
I did drive during heavy rain but dint find any difficulty maybe it's because I drove in moderate speed. Other than that the road seems to be better than most roads around Chennai.

Starting early morning is the best solution bro! Obviously morning la namaku eruka confidence & speed night la erukadhu. Especially for 500+ km drives! So try to cover as much distance as possible during the day. Night drives are awesome but konjam relaxed ah, songs ketutu porarthuku dhan nalla erukum.

Honda City is truly an overrated car. The pick up sucks and at top speeds definitely there is some wobbling and the car takes strenous efforts for acceleration. The body feels too big for such a small engine. On the other side, it is just good for city commute and fuel efficient. Nevertheless, super video :)
