A Pokemon X Hardcore Nuzlocke Monotype Challenge with ONLY NORMAL TYPE POKEMON - Can it be done? (No items, No overleveling)

RULES:
1) If a Pokemon faints, it's considered dead and can no longer be used.
2) Only the first encounter can be caught on each route.
3) Species Clause; I can reroll an encounter if the first encounter is something already caught.
4) No items in battle (held items are fine).
5) No overleveling the next gym leader's highest Pokemon (leveling up during the fight is allowed).
6) Battle style must always be on 'Set'.
7) No mega evolutions are allowed in this run.

Hey dude, just a heads up, if you ever play XY again and decide to use furfrou, you can get it’s fur trimmed in lumiose city. This also boosts its speed stat and changes its fur colour and pattern

I think people don't like it because they're pretty easy, and forgotten because those who don't like it never suggest it so it's just left alone.
Sacred sword isn’t a signature move of aegislash, Coballion, Virizion, Terrakion, and Keldeo can all learn it.
COBALION IS NOT SPELLED WITH 2 L'S!
Signature moves can be learned by other Pokemon and some Pokemon get one move as their "signature" move even if that move existed before them

Furfrou is spectacular
this was a cool run, and there was a nice spotlight on a few pretty underused pokemon. pyroar (I actually can't stand how plain it looks and how middling its stats are), furfrou especially, even tauros seems a bit overlooked just because of which games it appears in and how late or rare it is as an encounter.

Don’t have a ton of experience with them outside of this run so I have to go with greninja just because of smash I think
Greninja is definitely a super cool mon! I’ve always had a soft spot for fenniken despite the hate that Delphox gets. I love the type combo of psychic and fire personally!
Greninjas probably my favourite too, but I'm probably biased because he's cool as hell in the anime
Love this channel thanks for the uploads. HOWEVER u gotta acknowledge the story in this game. Alright, gen 1 and 2, u face team rocket, they are just mafia guys trying to run a casino, make money, turn money into power, bully people, i.e., small minded. Gen 3 we had some ecoterrorist stuff going on, gens 4 and 5, by comparison, forgettable. Then we get to gen 6.
Lysander is the reincarnated younger brother of the ancient king. The ancient king lost his beloved Pokémon in the war, a floette. He invented and built a machine that could harvest the life energy of people and Pokémon to resurrect the dead. He succeeds and brings back his floette. The floette can’t stand the sight of who the king has become, realizes that countless souls were extinguished to bring it back to life, and leaves. Blah blah everyone else talks the king into using the machine as a nuclear warhead, but in the end, u find out that the Pokémon equivalent of Gilgamesh, AZ, is the same fking king from thousands of years ago, and u LIBERATE HIM FROM EONS OF ETERNAL PAIN AND TORMENT. And his floette comes back. What in the hell where they thinking making that leap in evil Pokémon game teams? We go from taking down the Pokémon version of al Capone, to freeing a formerly blinded, but myopically well intended genocidal manic from his punishment of an eternity of loneliness, suffering, and immortality?
The story had a lot of potential, but they really didn’t tie it together well. It could’ve used some thoughtful editing. Lysandre is Worse Thanos and Sycamore is a simp… we deserved better.
You can basically sum up each generation in a few words, while Gen 6 had one bad guy made to believe he was good and another random tall guy who basically lost his sanity bc his Pokémon died, Gen 5 was the best story written by Pokémon, a kid who could communicate with Pokémon and was raised by an evil group, he was seen as the antagonist, but all along we all knew he was a good guy just led down the wrong path. All and all I can’t agree with you when you said Gen 4 and 5 are forgettable, the way it was portrayed in the anime just wasn’t the best compared to Gen 6. I can say it had potential to be up there, but due to the game lacking it fell short unfortunately.

Ayo, if you do this again, just know that there are some Audino in the bushes on route 6! the bushes where you walk up to the palace yk! It would mean a lot if you caught an Audino and named it creampuff or clementine, since they are the names of my audinos, and Audino is my fav Pokemon :) normal types are my fav types so yeah seeing this was cool :D

Aegislash can also learn it so it’s not a signature move anymore (plus keldeo gets secret sword)

why go for burn over poison on swellow? doesn't burn half attack or does that not happen when the pokemons ability is guts
The latter. With Guts, Flame Orb is better than Toxic Orb due to less damage for the same result.
Regular poison and burn are equally good for a Guts mon.
nope, due to guts burn debuff are canceled and is counted as buff due to status condition.

It basically means that when you KO an opponent, the message that says “would you like to switch your Pokémon” doesn’t appear and your opponent just sends their mon out
Wouldn’t guts and a burn cancel each other out?
guts cancels the burn but maintains it's effects
@@rafagarau4518 guts cancels the debuffs of burn but instead gets buffed.
