- Can I beat a Pokemon Hardcore Nuzlocke challenge in Black version using only Flying types? Well, it's a short question, but with a long answer, get some popcorn and a beverage and hope you enjoy.
Rules of the challenge:
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the Type Pokémon on each Route (Species Clause)
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

Hey there guys, when you get a chance, check out the Community tab, I posted a pretty big update here in case you were curious: ruclips.net/user/postUgyet0tYUcKA4IpNivZ4AaABCQ
Could you do a BW/BW2 run with only pokemon N has owned?
Rrr4444
Alder for sure. The post game is so underrated, its hard though because of the level jump.
I’d really like to see going up to alder with some new encounters
I'd say if possible, try to do the post game Alder/Cynthia fights in gen 5 games, just as a bonus.
I second this.
Unless you are letting him rare candy it nothing in it for him
Real great idea, it's what I do since those fights feel just as climactic as Ghetsis.
I agree as you aren't registered as Champ till you take on Alder in another round of the elite four challenge.
Alder in BW is pretty abusable for any fast flying type that doesn't have a secondary type that would be weak to grass, fighting or bug and is able to set up. His team is better in the sequel games though since Acid Spray lowers your special Defense making it harder to set up on the Accelgor.
Here's a dumb video idea: Can you beat [Game] using ONLY fairies... WITHOUT THE FAIRY TYPE.
Tldr, all of the pokemon that converted to fairies, pre-fairy type.
Clefable, Togekiss, Granbull, Wigglytuff, Mr.Mime, Azumarill, Gardevoir, Mawile, and Whimsicott
Altaria and Audino if we allow mega forms to count as “gaining” the type
Ninetails, Wheezing and Rapidash if we allow regional forms to count as the species “gaining” the fairy type
Could work in gen 3 lot of Pokémon to use: Wigglytuff, Clefairy, Mawile, Azumaril, Gardevoir, Mr Mime in fire red, could even use Ninetails considering they get a fairy type alolan form I know that’s technically cheating but it kinda counts
I haven't heard someone pronounce Cilans name the way you did the first time, but thinking about it that pronunciation makes sense. Like its short for Cilantro. His brothers are named after a Chili Pepper and Water Cress, so I'll be trying to pronounce it that way from now on!
Love the Yu-Gi-Oh reference names.
The ‘see ya chump’ caught me off guard lol. Love it.
This is such an incredible timing since I’m working on my first nuzlocke, a flying nuzlocke on shield
This is my first video so when you named the Pidove, Lyrilusc, I was so thrown off and got Bird-Up ptsd. Glad to hear you like Yugioh as well! Subbed!
Alright, in my humble opinion, everything up to Ghetsis is subject to hardcore nuzlocke rules. After that, up to Alder would be a lot of fun to watch, but all the rules should remain in play, EXCEPT for allowing yourself to use your dead Pokémon for that stretch of the game. Still no items in battle, no overleveling, no legendary Pokémon, that kind of things. BUT Pokémon that died can be used again for that small stretch of the post game. They only get “one additional life” however. For example, u could use all the dead flying types in this video again, for the post ghetsis fights, but if they die a second time, they are once again unusable.
I think this adheres very well to the rules of the hardcore nuzlocke. But it allows u to attempt the last couple boss fights again, without being forced into using the small handful of Pokémon that survived the elite four, champion, etc. It’s more content, which all viewers love. This is all my opinion, so I accept that some, if not many, would reject the concept. But I wanted to comment for the algorithm of course, and give my two cents 👍 thanks for the upload all the same
Wouldn't there be more Pokémon available to catch thanks to there being more accessible routes?
@@PhantomAarantula that’s true, but depending on the type, it’s not likely he could build another team entirely. In the case for this video, I don’t think there’s more than 2-3 additional flying types he could encounter post game before fighting alder at a level cap of 77. I don’t know them off the top of my head tho, so I could be wrong about that
Super surprising to see Sigilyph as the sole survivor. But yeah play until you beat the champion please.
I’d say if you can do Alder and Cynthia but always count it as a won nuzlocke after Ghetsis since that’s the battle that is right before the credits
27:17 is where we hear Gage's scream from afar
Archeops was my first EV trained pokemon I ever made, it slayed with a flying gem
Awesome video
Sucks that lost a Pokémon before Elite Four to only 5 Pokémon
Was interesting to watch Archeops be used due to Defeatist hindrance
Wow, a black and white hardcore nuzlocke? that ISN'T A RANDOMIZER? You don't see those every day! Thanks!
Another great vid man 👍🏻 are we getting more of the pokewalker challenge?
I don't count a pokemon game beat until you're the champion (except scarvi, because that story is so interconnected you have to be the champion BEFORE the end)
I want to see one of these go to Alder, your choice what theme team you try with
Its been quite a long while, but I do remember Acheops w/ Acrobatics being a beast in this game. Love that pokemon still.
Just because I have tried it actually. You can beat both the first and the second gym with only a Snivy and Servine respectively without overleveling. Lenora is a bit easier, but both require Growth and a bit of luck. If someone is able to get Snivy with its hidden abillity, that makes both gyms a total pushover.
Fun fact! Cha in Portuguese means tea so you are chaotic teaball!
I haven't gotten far in the video yet but if Vullaby isn't named Blackwing I'm gonna be disappointed
YES
The Vullaby nickname gave me flashbacks to every time Cimo has played blackwings
The more the better! I would like you to do the post-game part until Alder! :D
Yeah, archeops is an absolute monster as long as you play around defeatist and its abysmal bulk. It's also one of my favorite Pokemon despite having 2 of my 3 least favorite types (rock, ice, and flying).
I'm not normally into monotype challenge runs, but goddammit, you put my favorite Pokemon on the thumbnail so naturally I have to check this out.
Also, it's pronounced "ARCK-en" and "ARCK-eops", with the hard "C" sound. Remember, it's derived from "Archaeopteryx", whose name is derived from the root word "archeo" ("ancient") as in "archeology".
I’d be down to see you face off Alder in future Black and White challenges
Yay another video!
Who knew that flying type would actually be OP in the early game like that?
I'd love to see B&W postgame in these videos!
How did you get EQ on Archeops before beating Ghetsis
you forgot about cottonee/whismicott
Not a flying type. Pure grass in Gen5 and Grass/Fairy after the type was introduced.
@@KimParkkinen holy shit you're right, i feel like ive been lied to for the last 10 years
I’d deffo like to see some Alder fights!!
Up to aulder (did not know how to spell his name)
In terms of pronunciation, I think Icirrus is probably eye-sirrus (ice + cirrus, all towns in Unova are named after clouds)
Archen and Archeops are based on Archaeopteryx, in which the “ch” is pronounced like a k.
Ah Yessss!
I’d love to see some Yugioh content from you, I’ve heard you make references but didn’t realize you’re a big fan. What decks do you like to use?
bro. I've never used unfezant. you're telling me even the route 1 bird takes longer to evolve in unova?
everybody takes forever to evolve in unova
I do wonder whether ev training is that needed in nuzlockes like this. how many times it allows pokemon to get kos they would have missed otherwise. hardcore typelockes do seem to be the hardest ones I've seen people attempt
that was a pretty sick run. archeops is a good pokemon, it's just the ability makes it a bit volatile. few stray suggestions I would make is that you should be able to teach archeops u-turn, seems it could be better than switching, especially on the same team with volt switch. also, mandibuzz is a pretty solid pokemon. huge defenses and it gets a bunch of support moves. I've always struggled to figure out what I could do with it in a casual team, but toxic, roost, tailwind, etc seem good for a nuzlocke
Hilarious, when I did this challenge I picked the cover fossil by mistake too and had to go to a far back save state, that hiker goes wayyyyy too quick
Ahhhh good finally a gen 5 play through
It's been 10 months so I'm really late, but how have I not noticed that the nickname theme is Yu-Gi-Oh winged Beast archetype names
Alder
can I suggest a mono fairy type on sword/sheild, dlc pokemon are allowed (like primarina)
In cases like this, up the Ghetsis. If you ended up with at least a couple more alive, then Alder.
Why do you do these at 11 pm and 11 am
Oh wow
I'm very disappointed you didn't name any of them birdface
up to Alder cause personally I don't consider the journey over til I get into the Hall of Fame
kalut saved me many times !
Do completing the Pokédex in a randomizer.
Thunderous
GHETSIS
100k subs is coming up
Archeops is my favorite Pokémon
You gotta do Up to alder for the new encounters! You should try Ground
Is it weird to say that Sigilyph is my favorite Pokemon?
nah, I love sigilyph, it's so weird looking but it's so cool. I think it does the xatu look better than xatu
Flying types are decent in gen 5
YU-GI-OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH
I have been playing since the first games. But I'm new to nuzlockes just wondering if you can recommend a game and monotype for a first timer
Start with the game you’re most familiar with. Aka a favorite.
Alder. It's harder and the idea is reaching the hall of fame
I enjoy the Yugioh references.
Did you just bank your best pokemon on 30% flinch at second gym? Are you savestating?
Hey chaoticmeatball how did you got earthquake the tm is just in poss game
can you do pokemon moon hardcore nuzlocke with water types only ive been trying for the last 2 months and i failed so many times i just wanna see if its even possible
I would love to see the post game if you think its possible
can you do the dragon type nuzlocke
Couldn't you have caught tornadus?
Up to Alder!
Foreshadowing anyone
I feel like that ai is programmed to finish with giga impact
Or Archaeopteryx
when can we expect prof oaks diet part 2?
i tried mono grass and was able to get past lenora after about 7 tries but wasnt able to be under the next level cap
Archeops and Archen are pronounced with a hard ch not a soft one like archaeologist or archeology
Definitely Alder
You should do the poatgame it'd be fun
New subscriber here
Why didn't you use Tornadus?
No legendaries rule
Going to Alder and Cynthia is cooler.
Cynthia
Bro how can you go with a yugioh naming theme for flying types and NOT reference the harpie ladies
Do dragon next
hey man, hope your weight loss goals are going well
nice
Do Alder, he is the true champion.
go up to alder!
Poc poke walker update?
There’s an update on his community page
do it to aldar
big brain 200
How about those excercise videos? Won't let you give up
He says that he finds it hard to do, as per his community post. He has considered making it a daily short thingy but considering he hasn’t done that, he probably has either given up or reduced it heavily.
Scald should probably be super effective against ice types, but it isn’t for some reason
damage step kalut in 2021? Nice try good sir!
how did your archeops learn eathquake
The fact you chose Mandibuzz over Braviary smh 😐
I’m pretty sure he played Black version instead of white and Rufflet is exclusive to white. I think he chose black because he already has a normal/flying type (Pidove)
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 2ND TO COMMENT OTHER THAN CHAOTIC AND PLEASE DO IT

Earthquake for Archeops is only Late Game !
U cheated the run and u cheated it wrong, wow !
Just realized that the only way Archeops could get earthquake is by TM which is in the post game 🥸
