I really hope Starfield will be as amazing as it sounds on paper. I think it probably has the potential to become THE definitive sci-fi game. Fingers crossed!
Yeah, but no pre-order.
@@kael7953 Why preordering? It's on Gamepass, no fear of it xD
I feel it would've been better if it had alien races in it. Galactic politics gets very interesting with alien races involved. Humans are often portrayed in a very monolithic fashion in Sci Fi, and it would be kinda sad to see just humans.
@@writershard5065 Is it confirmed yet that there's no alien races in it?

8:20 onwards: jesus christ. Nonstop goosebumps. Starfield, like Skyrim, is going to have a legendary soundtrack. Seriously, this stuff is oscar worthy
Fallout’s soundtrack is also spectacular
Completely agree
Starting from there it was just so beautiful
sorry but no. There is barely any music or melody here. It's a couple sounds put together. The part you are referring to is the only one where there is some music. This is faaarr away from oscar worthy. Star wars, ET, Harry potter soundtrack...THAT is oscar worthy.
Star citizen's main theme is much better...

There were several really clever nods to Jerry Goldsmith and John Williams in there. Masterfully done, great job inon Zur and the wonderful musicians in the London Symphony Orchestra. Honestly, this has been in the works so long it fell off my radar, but now I'm optimistic for its release and interested in the game play.
Don't forget 3:48, those drums remind me of Mr. Marty O'Donnell.
The part from 7:20 also sounds extremely familiar to me, I feel like its also referencing something but can't quite make out what it is.
I didn't think about the Jerry Goldsmith aspect, but reading your comment, I went back and double-checked his stuff and saw he did The Mummy (1999) score which I love. And the great John Williams too, of course. It made me think: what a great combination. There is totally a mysterious yet adventurous feel to this suite, and I am almost more excited for the full OST than the game itself. Certainly the music will augment the experience of the game a million times over, I imagine.
@@Fr33zy159 Like 10 seconds before, a bit of Danny Elfman too, remind me the music of Spider-Man by Sam Raimi, or we can talk about Philip Glass?
@@JohnSmith-vn8dm Stargate !!!
I might be the only one, but listening to this composition and looking at the concept arts are giving me strong Star Wars vibe in all the good ways. If it's actually Skyrim in space with this atmosphere, it will be awesome.
It certainly makes sense. George Lucas has always said that Star Wars is a fantasy story in a space setting. Todd is right, Bethesda is uniquely positioned to make this game
Isnt Skyrim on space mate , the same todd Howard said that this Game IS not Skyrim
Starfield has you live the life of a character much like Star Wars' Han Solo and more importantly think of "the Kessel Run", referred to in one of the recent SW episodes.
@@hunterswepic Can't wait to find legacy Morrowind bugs in this 2022 title.
@@jesperburns the joke isn't fun anymore pal!
@8:20 definitely the main theme. It's been played in both trailers.
You're probably right, although it sounds like ambient music to me. Definitely not as energetic as other main themes, although that's the vibe they're going for I guess.
@@Ruzzky_Bly4t Because it's going for a more wondrous vibe rather than something bombastic, it's a little more subdued
@I record with a phone I still think it's a shame, though. Out of all the possibilities, Bethesda chose the standard European orchestra that we've seen in most other space operas. After seeing the new Dune movie, I realized how much unique music can add to any piece of media. I hope Starfield will have some more interesting music in it as well.
Starfield has the potential to be one of, if not, Bethesda’s best game they’ve done. A game to supersede the legacy of TES and crawl out of the 100ft tall shadow casted by Skyrim’s name alone.
I surely do hope and believe that this is going to be something, really really special
I am just so sad at the missed potential of Playable Alien races. I guess only their fantasy games have diverse character choices. They could've killed that especially in a SPACE EXPLORATION GAME!
H ow about them Spacecrabs?
Good day!

Plus a launch and ride to orbit just doesn't feel right without such incredible music
Watching this 4 days from launch, I can't believe it's finally almost here! It's unreal. I remember when Starfield was just a trademark, and all the speculation around it. The last time I've been this excited for a game was fallout 4, and then Skyrim before that. I truly believe it'll be the game of a generation, just as much so as Skyrim was.
I wholeheartedly agree!! It has been a long time since I've been genuinely excited about a game release. I took off from work to play it on launch day!!

The music is by far the best part of this game.
The soundtrack and the ship building are the only good things in Starfield. The rest is a huge letdown. ☹
Goddamn I love Inon Zur. If Jeremy Soule will not appear in TES6 as a composer, I want Inon Zur to compose the soundtrack
Yeahhhhh let's say I'm pretty sure it's highly unlikely that JS will be on TES6.
Soule's out. He got MeToo'd.
I'm surprised people are still hyped for TES6 after all the shit Bethesda has done. I love TES too, but at some point you gotta realize this company isn't what it once was, TES6 will without a doubt be a massive let-down, and the sooner you realize, the better.
I'm all for Inon Zur being the new Elder Scrolls official composer. I love Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim's music, and the ost of the Harry Potter games are my childhood, but honestly I think it's best if they ditch Jeremy Soule after what he "allegedly" did
@@IgnitWacom Why? He's a great composer, if he's done anything wrong let the legal system take care of it. Not to be dismissive of the allegations or anything, but I don't think it warrants this kind of reaction.

Que banda tan increíble, esas fotos de los biomas de los mundos y las ciudades es espectacular.
This is masterful. I read in an interview that they started giving a lot of importance to the music, which I think is a perfect approach to any film or videogame. In this case, it seems they already succeeded at the one aspect that keeps it all together. Well done.
Inon Zur's music gives me goosebumps every time. This is no exception.
Agreed, Music makes the magic
They come up with the style and themes of music very early in all of their big titles and then they develop the game with that in mind. It really shows. Their music is brilliant!
I get tears in my eyes every time I hear it. It goes straight to my soul man
Me too! I googled about this crying while listening to music stuff and I found out people like us enjoy music like no one other can and that triggers extreme joyful emotion.

always the soundtrack special in Bethesda games👌🏻👀
when i hear this i can imagine exploring swamps of an unexplored planet only to find an entire civilization of swamp people, all the way to finding bounties in cities across the galaxy or exploring the dunes of a sand planet for lost treasures, the possibilities are limitless and as todd said he believes we now have the technology to deliver

I love Jeremy Soule's music in Elder Scrolls, but Inon Zur in DA:O & DA2 is up there as my favorites also. Happy they went with him for ES6 & Starfield.
I thought I heard some hints of DA:O in there somewhere!
I like Fallout 4 music from Inon Zur.
ES6 aint happening - the game will be too archaic when it's released. Rehashing of age old concepts is deliberately boring to entice you to be entertained further.
This sounds seriously iconic.
Distinctly Inon Zur, but with great "space vibes" (Star Wars, Star Trek), and the use of brass even reminded me of Morrowind's at some point. This is going to be a great adventure.
Inon Zur is so fkin amazing, this song is excellent omg
This came up on a playlist, and I thought to myself, "This sounds like Fallout."
Well, I guess there's a good reason for that, isn't there?
This is good stuff. I'll look forward to seeing what comes of Starfield.
It's Fallout and John Williams blended together
Good thing the composer made the modern fallout music then :)
@@Planemeld honestly a rather enjoyable mix, I'll happily grab the soundtrack, hopefully the game can match what we hear here

People will inevitably compare the music of Starfield to that of Star Wars. Zur does a great job of distinguishing his own style, while still delivering the impactful and driving melodies. I am especially excited to see how this plays out in the ambient music of the game.
It's less about the "it sounds like star wars" but more of "it feels like what star wars felt to me before". As you said, it's impactful, driving melodies. Hopeful. That's what SW represented to us as kids and everyone can feel that in here as well.
Except it does not sound like williams.
@@TheSorrowedMan well clearly.. its a different work and that’s good! We don’t want everything to sound the same, variety is important

This opening captures the feeling and intensity of A New Hope and then takes us into Dagobah, Cloud City, Mustafar with each drop and rise. I hope Starfield can capture the feeling of new places that Star Wars does so well, this piece certainly does
This is already a masterpiece. Even before the game came out. Very inspiring. Thanks to the awesome musicians and of course Inon Zur.
I am betting it's Bethesda's first 'AAAA' space exploration game, the developers, game designers, directors, managers, marketing, etc.... putting a lot of effort into this game, after all, they have been working on it for 25 years from what I have heard which is insane.

It's so nice to hear a symphony orchestra done justice like this, not just a bland string staccato triad like "ta ta ta. ta ta ta. ta ta ta." with overblown drums. You got woodwinds, game and movie composers. Use them!

Okay, so I have listened to the instruments in great detail and I have reached the conclusion that this confirms manual space flight.

Is clear that Inon Zur took a lot of inspiration from John Williams, in many parts it sounds like a Star Wars score.

Let's take our place before the game comes out because we will hear about this masterpiece for years to come.
So hype 🤩
absolutely incredible. Zur has really outdone himself here. I love the nods to Star Trek and The Planets!
Masterpiece, I can feel vibe of Star Gate and Star Wars beautiful!
marvelous, a games music score is as much a part of it as the story. this really makes me look forward to playing.
getting light star wars vibes
there's pretty strong influence I'd say haha.
This game will be next level, the music is amazing
Love the old Star Wars, Mass Effect, Wing Commander, NMS meant well but didn't quite did the job, and so many other space games I have played in the past tell a story of the space junky I am, suffice to say movies like Alien, 2001 Odyssey, etc. also make it into my memories of a lifetime. Surprisingly I just found out about Starfield about 2 months ago and can say I have waited for a game like this perhaps in my existence, to have a taste of every game I've played and every movie I've watched and be able in someway to do some of the things I did or watched. It is indeed incredible and can't wait for it. Hope PS owners eventually get it, or at least for those that cannot afford a PC or multiple consoles, or even better to end my comment, I hope I am not wrong about this game and it is what many hope it to be.
Wow... This is pure music magic. Congrats to all musicians and composers. You are opening the door into new worlds for the child within us. Starfield is going to be amazing.
Bethesda helped make my childhood great. It now looks (and sounds) like they’re going to help make my adulthood great too.
I really hear the genes of Star Trek in this piece. I hear a lot of people comparing it to Star Wars, which I do hear, but this piece really hits with nods to Goldsmith and Giacchino. In particular, the theme reminds me of pieces of First Contact, the more nuanced and softer notes of the Main theme. If this score will reflect the rest of the soundtrack we're going to get, we're in for a beautiful, uplifting, otherworldly experience.
Fingers crossed for Inon Zur.
space opera sounds like this are epic!
this brings me back to Oblivion and Morrowind.... and I could just stroll around letting the music take me to alpha vibration... and feel happy.
