    “Every addition to your life is not asset in your life.”
    Just because you get with somebody doesn’t mean you got better. This where discernment comes in.

    Love this word. It spoke to my soul. One day God will give me a partner one day. In the meantime I am going to embrace loving myself, Know my worth, and know I am chosen by God.

      Don’t give up! God loves you! He made you a woman, He said it’s not good for man to be alone. Start thanking Him daily and declaring it. Demand that mountain of unmarriedness be removed! Your husband is on his way!

    This is so amazing. I didn't realize you guys where long distance till 37 minutes in lol. I'm also 19 building a long distance relationship. I'm gonna see her for the second time in person next week and ask her to be my Girlfriend. It's such a big deal! And I relate so well to what you said about proper conflict resolution. Over facetime or the phone theres no option but to talk it out😂 Very cool seeing an older mature couple who made it and are living for the Lord. And to see you speak of the blessings that came through long distance and I relate HEAVY on all of those. Many of my brothers say you met her on the internet and try to invalidate saying it's not from God because of that fact. And because we're young among other things. But truly we've built great strength and convictions and getting to this point has taken a while. I'm so excited for what the future holds.

    Although I agree with what you taught, I believe that the church really needs to discuss more specific red flags in relationships. Just because someone is a Christian and appears to pass the test, doesn't mean that they will be a good partner. There are "Christians" out there that are wearing masks and after marriage the mask comes off. A manipulative, self-centered person appears in his/her place. I was covertly emotionally and verbally abused for years by a man that claims to be a Christian. After praying and trying for years to save my marriage, I had to choose divorce so my boys would understand that you cannot treat a spouse the way I was treated. I am one of many and the church needs to realize that abuse runs rappant in the church.

      That’s why he said at the beginning being a Christian is just the qualification on the resume it doesn’t mean you got the job! Being a Christian does not guarantee an equally yoked partner!!

      Your right, a lot of people claiming to be Christian could be quite self-centered and stubborn inside. But I appreciate your bravery and decision to divorce, important to show your son that this is not right and he shall not learn from it. Hope there is some other male figures can guide and accompany your son and be a good role model for him

    • @elleneebarrett5683
      @elleneebarrett5683 Год назад

      @@aalied.6324 Didn't notice that there had been red flags until after I married him. Behaviors changed after marriage. I am part of a life-saving divorce group and this happens often. I am in my forties. Discernment in relationships was not taught when I was younger.

    I once read a book fourth dimension, by dr yongi cho, great preacher he was, he wrote about finding spouse , make a clear cut goal , write ✍️ about your Godly partner, what kind of qualities do you want in him and her, paste that note on your mirror, and pray about it 👀, sometimes you have to tell God which brand of car do you want , how would God know it’s jeep or Range Rover ? Have clear cut goal .., you have to knock, you have to pray 🙏, before it will open for you
