    1. Bring your leg to the hand to defend
    2. Switch your hips toward his feet putting the weight of your torso into their hand and shoulder.
    How does this not have more views? Henry is full of great simple details.

    Absolutely amazing - going to try this, got kimurad for the first time in forever the other day, normally it’s enough to just strength out of it but it wasn’t this time, great video.

    “I was the one submitting you, then 5 seconds later the game has completely changed!”. I love that Bernado can probably defeat 99% of BJJ practitioners but he still gets amazed at stuff like a white belt.

    Sorry but this ONLY works if the person is flat on their back in half-guard while holding the kimura. If they are on their side (hip), this is not going to do what you want it to. In fact, chances are you will get rolled over.

    • @kungfup
      @kungfup 2 года назад +1

      Give it a shot. I use this all the time and it does not matter if they are on their side. The pressure from your hips and the angle at which you have applied that pressure elements your ability to generate enough leverage to roll. Look at the video again and you’ll see Bernardo is on his side and Henry flattens him, which Bernardo can’t defend. Don’t take my word for it though. Try it. I train with Henry all the time. I think you’ll be surprised.

    • @The_Brew_Dog
      @The_Brew_Dog 6 месяцев назад

      4:32 he is clearly completely on his side. Your comment tells me you are closed minded and hard to teach. You have determined because it didn’t work for you because they were not completely flat that it could work for anyone else..well that is clearly not the case. I suggest humbling yourself, if you do it’s very likely you won’t continue to have comments like this one because the technique will be effective.
