Hahahaha holy shit that brings back some memories.
I am not from NA, but one waterpark i went to when i was a kid had a sort of wild water attraction.
But instead of having a boat. You just went down of your own. it had like a sign with "only experienced swimmers" or some shit.
Now i did swimming as a sport, so i thought nothing of it.
got stuck at the end where there was literally a whirlpool created by the current of the water. Thought i was going to die.
Luckily i grabbed onto a iron railing and got out. Then i went in again thinking it would be easier the second time. it wasn't.

Canceling a business for being responsible for the death of it's patrons is a little different then ruining an individual's life because of something he/she said decades or more ago or for having a differing political opinion. Doesn't surprise me that comparison was made though. Just like this guy spent half the video using it to rationalize his opinion that people should have as little control over their lives as possible.
Well what can I say. We live in a society where people live in fear of a flu that has a 99.9% survival rate.

@@maybeitsyou1317 covid has a 1% death rate, yes, but that 1.8% IS STILL MILLIONS OF PEOPLE. Its not equal for everyone sure, but still, do you wanna have everyone's grandma dying? what is wrong with you. 1.8% doesn't sound like a lot though. How about 2.76 million. That is how many people have died from covid worldwide. Over half a million have died in the US. Guess how many deaths from the flu there have been this year? 42 thousand. That is still a lot, but this is what happens when you follow good and proper medical procedure. If people had taken measures earlier, then we wouldn't have this number of 2.7 million people around the world.

You stand up straight with your back against the wall in a tube and then the floor drops, you fly down at a pretty fast speed and then do a loop before exiting the slide into a pool. UK safety standards are high af and it still could have happened if it weren't for our perceptive friend who saw us struggle.
It's quite funny really, while yes I was scared and terrified at the time, it quickly wore off and I just played elsewhere in the park. Its only as I've gotten older it's hitting different, almost like a delayed reaction I guess, I don't know if traumas the right word honestly, as I feel it would hit harder but at the same time I don't know any other word that fits. The worst part about the rider who fell off of the alpine slide was actually not an employee, they were a regular guest who worked for one of the other lifts for a season multiple years before the incident. They just claimed he was an employee and it was during the night and raining even though it was a sunny day during working hours. It was basically so they had to pay less money to his parents.

fun fact abt that waterslide with the loop, when the owner was paying kids to go on it for testing, a bunch of the kids would come out with scratches and cuts, and when they opened the hatch to check what was causing all these scratches, they found HUMAN TEETH stuck to the top of the loop bc ofc some people lost teeth while they were running into the top of the slide. So yeah basically other kids were getting torn up by previous riders’ stuck teeth 🙃
