Right now I'm having a nice relaxing Saturday evening, doing some crochet, sipping a nice tea and listening to you. And I'm glad you don't use background music.
we are so different-
Crochet and tea are always a win!
This is the most British thing that I’ve ever read
Hey guys, hiiii! 🤗 Welcome to my channel to Kazakhstan ♥️🤗
I personally prefer these type of videos on the weekends, because they are good for unwinding or being able to work on a project alongside you.
I agree! So nice to watch or work along with. Hoping for continued uploads!
@@dianeo Same here, it's a wonderful atmosphere and to speak with other creators as well!
Same idea
True
Hey guys, hiiii! 🤗 Welcome to my channel to Kazakhstan ♥️🤗
I’m removing old paint from an over a 100 years old ceiling while watching/listening to this video. Love your house drawings/paintings. 💖
Hey Minnie!
I've been drawing "with you" for the last three mornings with the sketchbook hours, and I wish that I could say thank you properly! Its been great fun having some dedicated time for practice and hearing your updates. You also remind me so much of my sister (whom I don't see often), so its been lovely to feel a little closer to her, as well as a little closer to my art. Your process is just as inspiring as your work. I can't wait to get the plant postcards in the mail and immediately tick one off to my sister.
I’ve been searching for botanical references for a new watercolour sketchbook painting on my channel -but.. I got distracted by wanting to watch you paint instead! - love your videos as they’re so relaxing to watch - thanks Minnie 😊💜
you need to look at campbells channel, she works on a lot of botanical watercolours👍
ART FORMS IN NATURE book is awesome.
These long videos are a blessing on any day, although they do have weekend vibes for me. The drawing is amazing, as always, and it's lovely to hear you talk about so many things. Don't worry about sounding rambly when you talk about books -- it makes it even more like a conversation. Also, your videos are so relaxing and interesting I would listen to you talking about anything, honestly. :D
I'm doing some morning sashiko embroidery, eating breakfast and watching this. Got up pretty early for a sunday, and this video was exactly what I needed!
I've been working away at my embroidery piece while watching your videos! It's the first time I'm doing a large scale piece so I find working along side you and listening to your stories really motivating! Thank you so much for sharing these videos. I know myself and I'm sure everyone else really appreciate it!❤❤❤
I can not explain how much I love this series! I kinda get tired of listening to music when I’m drawing or painting, podcasts are okay but when I’m listening to your videos it kinda feels like I’m in the room with a friend or something. It’s really nice.
I’ve been saving this for my next painting session. I agree with the other comments that say it’s great for the weekend! It’s rad that you can have such a great discussion while painting! Love it!
Omg!!!! She mentioned me 😬😬😁😁😁😁😁 thanks for answering my question. It’s taken me a few days to watch the entire video. I’m in the process of moving and getting married. Thanks Minnie for responding.
Hiya. Congratulations hun. Well done on finding your Soul MATE. Nice to hear from different people n what's happening everywhere
God Bless You and your family hope you are doing fine. Peace from England UK
I enjoy these videos so much. I’m all for keeping it simple and less doubting;) This is relaxing, the way you film is easy to observe and Sunday is a good day...Thank you for sharing your process I am always inspired by your art! Thank you!
Hi Minnie!
I love these hour-long sketchbook videos of yours where you're speaking. It's been so helpful for me since I tend to self-critique and analyze while I draw so when I'm drawing with you, it makes me listen instead of listening to my mind.
There's a great quote a heard which was "Creating and analyzing are two different processes" and your videos have been helping me with trying to employ that thinking!
Yes! I am so glad that this is relatively low maintenance for you. It's my favorite style of your videos! And i love that there is no music
I really enjoy your videos and the longer ones definitely help me to refocus on whatever it is I'm working on at the time.
I'm working on a knitting pattern that was confusing me but I just needed to get out of my head for a bit to figure out what I needed to do next.
I hope you have a great week!
Love this little series ur doing Minnie it's so interesting an calming love watching before or after study to get me in the zone
You inspire me so much to draw and create! I know sometimes you feel stuck just thought I’d let you know you inspire me with your videos when I feel stuck! Thank you!
You inspired me to get my artwork organized this morning. You seem to have a calm nature.
Thank you so much for these videos! I love working while listening to you.
Hi Minnie , i love watching your sketching ! Sketching is my absolute favourite thing to do !. I am getting motivated to do
Some landscape sketching after i watch this. After your last hour sketch i got audio books which is awesome , i am loving listening to books to relax !
Ive just started my own channel and am learning a lot lol , really makes me appreciate how much is involved in the whole production of an art video.
and how yours are so lovely and entertaining and relaxing to watch.
thanks again for another lovely video😊
I loooove all of the greenery on this home. You made the foliage blend really well with the brick! Lovely calming video, Minnie :)
I'm a student and whenever I have work that needs to be done but I'm not in the mood, I watch your hour-long videos! It helps me get into the mood of working, and your voice is so relaxing. Actually have a bunch of your videos downloaded so i can easily watch them when i need to get work done/relax! Love you 🤗
I love listening to your warm and calm voice while doing house chores :"D Doing laundry and cleaning up is actually a privilege to me these days because I'm currently working a 9-to-5 plus a part-time. Thank you for your peaceful videos.
Please do more of these!!! Your art truly inspires me and I would love more videos like these to relax to.❤️
Your real-time videos are my favourite! Always so relaxing :-)
I sketched along to this video and the one before, and I find it perfect for that
You're videos are almost always on when I'm filming my videos or doing work for my graphics! Currently re-watching all of yours for some good working-from-home company ! Lovely video as always
I adore these videos there so nice to watch before falling asleep or painting!
My responses:
1) I like Saturday's for your 1 hour in my sketchbook videos because I actually have time to work on something while your video plays in the background.
2) I'm working on a Hornbill bird in oil pastels - thanks for the motivation.
3) I love oil painting and I'm a bit obsessed with it in that I want everyone to oil paint too, simply because I love watching oil painting videos. So I am excited and I really hope you enjoy oils.
4) Kingdom was so good. I am still salty about the cliffhanger ending of season 1 and the fact that there's no season 2 in sight.
5) I'm Trinidadian, so when you mentioned The Lonely Londoners I got so excited and even more excited when you started talking about the book and mentioned that your family is from Jamaica. So cool.
6) I like hearing you ramble about books you've read and movies you've watched. It's nice to listen to.
Okay, I think that's it for today. Love your channel and can't wait for more videos. :)
I have enjoyed seeing your watercolour process, once again. Beautiful!
the day i usually watch is the day you post... haha! also yes, thank you so much for not putting music on in your video while you were speaking... there not a lot of quiet spaces in this world. the quiet is so tranquil and relaxing. i was making my son homemade chocolate chip pancakes and eggs with cheese. then i made myself some corned beef hash and sat quietly eating my breakfast. thank you!
It is so relaxing listening to you and watch you sketch and draw :)
This turned out really nice and I love that you give other people the chance to exchange their channels with each other in the comment section!
It is really hard sometimes to find the audience and it is always nice when some bigger channels share other artists or let them share.
I love this kind of video, where i don't hear any background music, just listen to someone talking. I usually play your video specifically this one whenever i'm doing my tasks and this helps me to be more relax and i get the feeling like i have someone in the same room and i just listen to them talking. At least to reduce the loneliness and the pressure to finish all my tasks 😁❣️
Not only are you a wonderful artist but your voice is very suited to ASMR.....if anyone else is a listener of this!
Idk what it is about your videos but I always feel relaxed and ready to paint. Thank you. I am working on a collection of door watercolor paintings.
Loved The Immortalists so much, such a brilliant concept! I loved hearing about the books you’d enjoyed as you draw and paint. Getting me inspired to draw buildings again!
Right now I'm working on making a repeating pattern using watercolors and gold ink (and referring to one of your older videos :) ) Thank you so much for this 1 hour sketching video, it's so relaxing!
I love Rafi and Klee! They have so many cool and inspirational videos. They're hilarious and helpful! Also, Minnie, I usually watch your hour-long videos on the weekend.
I find your voice very soothing, been putting your videos on to fall asleep to. 😊
Minnie I love these Soo much!
I love these types of videos, they’re so relaxing!
As I watch I have been working on the 100 heads sketching challenge~
Right now, even though I'm watching/listening to this waaaaay after it was posted, I am working on my ceramics essay because your voice is just so calming and it's beautiful to listen to whilst working with anything
Right now, I'm working on an animation project while listening/watching. I really like your realtime sketchbook sessions! It makes working more fun :)
This video was so perfect, also thanks so much for the reminder to get up and have a stretch partway through! I’m sitting like a goblin, embroidering while I watch this so it was very helpful 💕
Hi Minnie, I love your videos so much! they're really relaxing. especially with no music on! I prefer just you talking. Keep up the good work
For me it’s morning right now I’m enjoying a mug of coffee and doing my morning drawing . Thanks Minnie. Claudia
I sooooo want to watch this right now, but I want to follow along and maybe sketch with you. So I’m gonna keep this for the end of this week when I have time. I CANT wait!!
Oooh I definitely think I will start watching these whilst I make my own art videos as well, I feel that way I will still feel like I'm still being productive and creating my own thing whilst also having the enjoyment of your videos and being accountable! As previously I do just tend to procrastinate and watch these videos whilst just sitting drinking a cuppa which isn't the most productive on my part!
I love this series it’s very relaxing and I feel like I get to know you more.
I would love to hear about what other artists you are watching on RUclips. I love Chris Hong’s videos as well!
Happy to see you doing a little house! I found your channel when you were doing a series of tiny houses! Love these 🥰
loving these 1hr videos, im drawing while listen/watching ur video.
Loved this Minnie. I’ve always loved your mini houses. You didn’t disappoint :-) would love a video one day on how you do your light and dark for shading and depth !:)
I've just been doodling while listening to your videos! On the topic of movies, I recently watched "Greta" and was pleasantly surprised, but I think when you go into a movie with low expectations they're usually pretty entertaining. Your content is so calming to listen to, not having background music is perfectly fine 🌸
Currently getting ready to paint a watercolor commission! My priciest one yet, so I’m a bit nervous, but your soothing voice and subject matter are putting me in the perfect mood ☺️💕
Gorgeous piece, btw!
I’m on my way back to college, it’s a 5 hour drive so this was much needed!!
Right now I'm just getting home from work (it's 10:52PM here in Los Angeles) and having a glass of wine :) I am an aspiring artist and I find this very relaxing. Thank you Minnie!
Thank you for keeping me company!
I keep my sketchbook as an art journal and sometimes I just pencil in what I meant to paint, so I can get back to it later, and I'm having a backtracking session today :).
Ty for reminding me to get back to 'The Immortalists'. I stopped after the first viewpoint switch in LA, and I need to pick it back up because the writing style is so beautiful, like there's not a single word in the wrong place.
Also, good on you for more speaking, you get more confident the longer the video goes on, it seems :).
Put this on while working on cutting out stickers for my patrons. I love listening to you talk while I get some work done
such a relaxing series of videos it is you're making, I'm currently watching this while fiilming part of a painting process for the concept "nostalgia" and it's so nice painting alongside you!
I'm working on a comission right now. Your voice is very relaxing and soothing. Thank you for sharing your art
Hi Minnie. I am really enjoying this series. I am working on a pen and ink insect drawing while watching and listening today. I really love your house drawings. I think I will do a google earth search to find an inspiring house to draw. Thanks for the tip on how you find your reference. I wouldn't change a thing on how you are putting these together.I enjoy hearing about what you are reading and I'm looking forward to seeing you try oils.
Always awesome to see a new video! :D
💟I usually watch, but mostly just listened this time while I worked on painting some roses in my tablet. I keep talking about opening an online shop, but then I keep putting it off. So now I've set a timeline to get it done before my birthday (fingers crossed). Your voice is the perfect thing in the background; calm, quiet, lovely💗. As far as books, I just finished 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' and am now on the second part, 'Hollow City'. Also, my maternal grandmother emigrated from Jamaica to England a lifetime ago, lol. My immediate family and I emigrated to America.
Edited to Add: I watched the Rafi video when it first came out. They made some very valid points. The whole situation made me angry and I don't even own a shop.
Loved this piece of work. Especially the music with painting at the end. Your work is pure magic.
If you haven’t read, The Woman in the Window by, AJ Finn, it’s the best book I read in 2018 and I read over 50 books a year. Suggest to your mum to use the app good reads to keep track of her books instead of an excel document.❤️❤️❤️
Oil paints... you will love it! I grew up watching my mum use oil paints and was the first paint I tried / used. I haven't touched it in years! I love the smell and texture, so satisfying! But I was impatient with the drying time. Mum later picked up pastels... love that but found watercolours back in 2012, much more my style.
Minnie, Minnie, Minnie! I'm super late, I know it! I beg for forgiveness! But, don't ever think Im not here in a shot when your presence presents itself! I love spending time with you in these videos and each time I do get to soend time with you, I feel a transformation in myself as an artist in all the things that I do and I feel so inspired to do what I love to do and to really cut off a lot of things that drain my time that keeps me from being as productive and growing in my gifts as I know I have the potential of being. So, you are a person that I hold as a example of molding myself after and it feels RIGHT to do that because you're a good and pure young lady. I have no regrets! So, just know I'm always here and I'll be in full vigor after awhile!🤓❤
I love these full hour videos I like to draw with you it's so nice to have the company
I'm currently painting a landscape while I listen to your video.
Nice to be back to these videos during Quarantine.
found your channel just now, but i'm enjoying this 1 hour a lot. finished a watercolor piece while listening to your vid! :D
YAY! I love watching these episodes, I can draw all day while listening you, you have really lovely voice and accent ❤
I agree. She really does have a lovely voice and accent. Soothing.
You can upload when ever you want i dont mind. My phone recently broke and cant film so i understand the whole filming and uploading. Love all you do thank you for uploading these one hour long videos love watching them now that i have big projects i am working one. 💕
I’m packing for college. Organizing my Big Kid art supplies in preparation for BiG Kid art school. This really helped me focus and relax. Thanks Minnie! ☺️
I am currently working on the curriculum for my drawing workshops... trying to put ideas onto paper right now, and hopefully into workable plans thereafter. I sometimes 'listen' to your videos while I work haha... I know and I am sure I am not the only one who does that. Love your hour long videos btw, pls keep doing that! Gday
The Night Circus! Such a lovely story :)
I know these videos are older, but I've been watching/listening to this series while doing homework! Fun to listen to and watch without distracting me :)
Please don't ever stop what you do on this channel :)
Very nice, I started drawing a little crooked village last night in my watercolor sketchbook. I'm hoping to paint it tonight. It's a whimsical village. My first time drawing anything like it. I enjoyed it, so will try more some other time. Seems we like many of the same films. Phans Labrinth was a wonderful film. Looking forward to more of your video's. TYFS
I m making mini art journals for my Etsy store while listening to you 🤩
I’m obsessed with your mini houses and our local deli is opening a cafe tomorrow, so I’ve done a mini deli painting for a good luck card and hope one day to be a proficient as you, thanks for the inspiration
Hi, Minnie! I just wanted to say partly why I love these hour long videos of yours is because there's no background music. I find it a bit distracting if there's bg music when I like listening to a specific person speak lol (you being one of them ^^). I think the value of minimal editing is lost a bit nowadays so these videos are just gold
As I’m watching and listening, I’m currently working on materials for a Comic Con. It will be my first one in October and the prep is crazy! Haha! Digitizing my drawings and creating new paintings for prints. It’s been a little eye opening on how much my style and medium preference has changed and evolved.
I’ve taken a rather large break from social media but am trying to stay focused on the end goal.
Are you partaking in Inktober this year?
while watching this i’m studying a piece by one of my favourite artists, it’s something i do with a small group of friends, each month with a different theme just so we can try to improve in a variety of stuff :)
my family is Guyanese and living in London. It's so cool to see someone else on youtube with a similar background!
I was trying to design my oc Will while I was listening to you talk! Your art is so amazing and I really love your voice and accent!!
Thanks for another great video! It was just the thing to get me to pick up my sketchbook and draw along. Drawing a snake from reference.
Her videos are nice 👍🏽 to listen and very cool and relaxing 😌 especially when I paint 🎨
Loved the video, very relaxing!
Hi Minnie! As im watching i ate breakfast then fixed up my eyesbrows lol. But I finally got started on work, I got hired as a graphic designer/website updater recently and have to get working on some things! Your videos always get me motivated!
I'm drawing right now, I listen to these videos whenever I'm in a mood for a long serious drawing session and those don't have a schedule... also, if you're looking for a book recommendation I just finished Circe, written by Madeline Miller, and it was amazing!
I'm painting a plant portrait, inspired by your postcards :) really enjoy painting along with you, Minnie
It's Sunday here in Australia, current time 11:30 am. I've been up since 5am, was wide awake! I first started the day looking for info on how to save individual edited clips on premiere pro to save for later videos. I found one helpful video! I'm now just organising my files in my hard drive... getting ready to upload my first video! I am working on my own website which I want to add that video to before I launch. It is all so time consuming! So it is nice to take breaks in between or simply watch your videos while I wait for my files to transfer.
Right now I'm doing my deadlines for my freelance~ Love videos like these~!
Loved seeing your return to houses. Such a wonderful hour spent just watching your video, keeping an eye on MOTD and asking my husbands opinions on your horror likes and dislikes. I absolutely hated horror movies. Complete wuss. But he has been slowly chipping away at me for the last 2 decades plus and I’ve built up a bit of a backbone 😂😂 for example I really loved the Haunting of House Hill. I’ve always been able to read horror it’s just watching it. I just bought your plant postcards and the two mini house zines so I’m pretty excited to have some of your art in my home.
A great video as usual!
Another great video!!!!!!!
Minnie, you are so kind! Thank you for inviting us to share our work and I do love that about your channel! That you invite us to join and feel like we are in it together. Really, we are! I felt u were speaking to me so thank you for the encouragement !
Really lovely video xx
I love the Rafi Was Here Studios videos too. I found them and you around the same time three months ago. Love to turn you and them on and listen while I work or clean house. Relaxing and calming and learn a lot too! Minnie please listen to their talks on self doubt as an artist and how over the years they have handled this. By the way found out they have a second channel called Rafi and Klee Adventures a few weeks ago. Love your channel!
Oh, it became a pretty house painted again with pencil and pen🤗🤩
