My Child is 2 and about to have a baby brother. She is anxious about going to school. Last time she cried so much (at school with the teachers) she vomited. When I Picked her up, she had bronchospasms and remained that way for around an hour. Today she would cry at home and beg for us not to make her go. " I don't want school. School is at home" she would say and cry. I would not force her. I've been thinking of not taking her until next year (it is not mandatory in our country until age 4 or 5). This past months have been tough for her, and the coming of our new baby has affected her.
Hi Carla, I'm so sorry to hear this. With all the lockdowns it has been really difficult for many children to detach from their parents. How are things going now?
Just saw ur channel, homeschooled my kindergarten son and he will attend a summer camp starting June to help him transition for 1st grade school. Excellent routine I will start practicing!
When i notice that a child is clingy and crying at drop offs, i carry the child, i sing or make the child feel welcomed and safe. Teachers can also help the child feel safe and relaxed. A child will never forget a child who makes them happy and relaxed. It's very important!
I remember being so excited going to kindergarten and not understanding why kids were crying. I think it’s because I was one of 5 kids and we lived in a 1 bedroom apartment with nothing fun to do but daydream. Maybe what parents need to do is make home a little boring a few weeks before school starts so they want to get away???
I didn't go to pre school I started school when I was 7 years old because my mom is very protective I didn't cry and when my father came to take me home I refused to go with him I wanted to stay in the school 😅

They have called me to go pick him up and start taking him to school for only two hours until he gets used to the idea of being in a class. Should I be more patient or will me making her keep going to school will be forcing her . When I was younger my dad would drive me to the bus stop and I would cry on the bus , in my dad's car , and walking to the bus and it was so bad my dad told my mom to start taking me cuz he was so sad when he saw me crying every day and I would even cry in the morning, yes, I did have social anxiety and still to this day, ppl have to friend me bc I'm a VERY shy child, and I wanna know if you understand why I would be so sad?
My 4 crys at drop off , gets better, then sor of doesnt want to engage in activities ( per teacher) then she ‘s weepy though out the day. Teacher says mia goes to the quiet cubby alot, crys, then is better. Its like a rollercoaster.
I'm really glad you can speak to your Dad. It is important to be honest if you are feeling overwhelmed, so make sure you tell him. We are in a very difficult situation right now and it is absolutely understandable that you would be feeling overwhelmed ❤

I just dropped my 4 year old son at school,he wanted me to go sit with him in the classroom and I did but then I had to leave as the Teachers insisted that it's their job to calm the kids when crying.I regretted not hugging and kissing or giving them Hi 5s.I will this time around.
Thank you so much for the tips!! My toddler is just turning 2 and he took about 3 months to stop crying at his first daycare. We’ve recently moved and have had to start the process all over again. The teachers say he cries all day and I don’t know what else to do. I always tell him I will be back and give him a hug and kiss but I will add the high five and do my best to keep it short and quick. Have any of you ever dealt with your children crying pretty much all day at daycare? 😩 any tips are greatly appreciated.
Now every time I grabbed one used to be called sorry I missed this a school I meant to say I cry every day at school this isn't me I want to get back to my normal self I just don't want to feel this way right now
Very helful video . But my Child simply refuses to go to School . Every night before going to bed she quotes the same sentence " Dada I dont want to go to school " . This is too frustrating and stressful for parents . And in the morning she will often cry and resist to get ready . Its been 5 weeks since she started her school . Being a 4 year and in reception we thought it will be fun as my daughter likes socialising. I even spoke to her Teacher and her response was like " your daughter is very happy in school and there are no red flags" . One thing she did bring to my attention was that in the beginning her classmates were not so welcoming to her . My daughter joined 4 week post the actual joining date of school ,so she was treated like a new student in class. Perhaps her classmates didnt treat her well and she felt alienated. I am doing everything possible to maintain a healthy communication with her teacher but the problem is that Teacher does not see any problem in school . So the real issue is how do I convince my daughter to get ready for school without she getting grumpy and mad at me in the morning .I really cant see her crying helplessly. Its too overwhelming. Can you please help ?
I need help! I have a 6-year old little girl who just switched schools. She is in 1st grade and a little less than half the time she wakes up, even on the weekend she begins to ask, how many more days until school or she'll wake up especially on Mondays and say her stomach hurts or flat out she simply doesn't want to go because she'll miss me. I am a single mother and it kills my soul to see her so upset. Today was very difficult, she really was having anxiety so I went inside with her and stayed in her class for about 10-15 minutes until it was time for her class to have carpet time, she still kept looking out of the corner of her eye to see if I left. I pray she'll grow out of this, I'm sure she will it's so hard. Is it normal at 6 for kids to still have a rough time?
My 6 year old is screaming bloody murder and holding onto the walls and doors to avid entering the building. I can hear him screaming from outside of the building. I know he's sad but I feel terrible for him, the disturbance of the class, the teacher, the other classes that are also being disturbed... I feel so defeated and I don't know how to help :(
My kid is 6 we have a hard time almost every morning to go to school. He has major meltdown. I don't know what to do also , I just have to deal with it one day at a time.
Mine 6 year old is the 1% that will cry all day. I have to use strength to pull him from the car to the office every morning. This is great information I wish it would work for me because I've tried everything. 😕
Thank you for this- My 4 year old started Pre School in September and for being home with me his entire life, he adjusted pretty fast. Unfortunately, it’s been a little over a Month and he’s starting to regress- He goes in the afternoon and as soon as I mention getting ready for school, he starts to cry and he’ll continue to cry on/off, until I drop him off. I try to wait as long as I can before mentioning it. As I know that’s when the emotions start. But I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried to talk to him/ ask him if something happened, etc. and he always has the same response- (He’s going to miss me). I try to make our mornings as positive as possible and I try not to make a big deal out of his crying. (I usually just comfort him with hugs & talk about all the fun stuff he’s going to do during the mere 2.5 hours he’s there). I was thinking about making a reward chart. But I don’t know if that’s a good idea. So any ideas/advice would be greatly appreciated.
My child just started daycare , he has been having nightmares ( he wokes up in the middle of the night saying “ don’t leave me mama “ , he pee him self twice this week , 😢 it hard , specially because I work there and I can’t see him until pickup time
Hi my 2 year old, goes to the childcare twice a week, but he is really bad for first 15 mins and settles through out. Problem starts when he is at home for the rest of the week. He keeps saying ‘no school’ repeatedly. Doesn’t eat, feels like he has taken over his emotional health and I’m worried.
I have the same issue, I can’t say much given that it’s her first week but I get sent pictures of my child playing and she looks happy but cries inconsolably after she gets home. I read somewhere that kids try to keep it together when they are in daycare but burst the moment they see their parents or caregivers or are in a safe place.
My daughter won’t stop crying and it’s been two weeks now starting kindergarten. Cries at night before, cries in the morning going , cries when she comes home that she doesn’t want to go back..
My daughter went to JK last year and did not cry a single day. she was happy every single day, but this year when SK started, after her first day, she started crying in the morning when she was woken up for school, kept crying during changing clothes, During breakfast, and the drive to school. The teacher said that she was randomly sobbing throughout the day. But was happy only when picking up from school. We are very confused and unsure what’s going on.
Thanks for the video. Very helpful. My son will cry in the car and standing in line waiting forbteacher to come out and im.always tempted to take him back home. Its tough for me to see this as a father cause i always wanna fix it
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. What on earth is wrong with society, normalizing their children crying every day about being dropped off at school? Obviously young children should be attached to their parents and that's a good thing. If that is not the case, they are bonding with their peers and strangers more than their own family.
My daughter has been in school a whole term now and is still crying at drop off and pick up 😭 shes in reception and in between was fine and was only crying at drop off but she seems to get upset again now. Its so stressful

Two year old video but still very helpful. My 2.5 year old has been af day care since 1 but has recently the morning drop off has been so hard. I’ve been staying with him for 10-30mins every morning because I just didn’t know what to do. Will be trying this next time he goes. Any tips for starting the new high-5 and bye routine? Thank you!
Hi. My son is about the age to go to school. But the school requires the child to go alone with the teacher for the initial interview for him to get admitted in school. We have gone twice but he refuses to leave me. I understand the environment is quite new for him. He wants me to go with him and it is not allowed.. I have been called again. I'm nervous if he does it again.. will try this drop off routine but for the interview I cant drop him off... I am telling him at home that he has to go with the teacher alone.. mommy will not go and he agrees. But as soon as we step in the school he refuses completely..
How do I help my 2.5 year old have a nice and positive drop off at preschool? She goes one day a week but every time I have to drop her off she starts to cry when it’s time to say goodbye. I left her last week and the minute I turned around she started crying. I waited outside the gate where she couldn’t see me and she calmed down after a while but it’s so heartbreaking that it made me want to stay with her again for class this week. Her teacher sent me an update last week saying she was perfectly fine later on.
My son is 3 he started pre school 6 days ago for 1 hour every day. His teacher said he cry for whole hour. This broke my heart everyday. I dont know wht to do. Why he dont play with other children in school.
Our kid is 4. He keep crying and disturbing other kids which leads to trauma teachers calling us to pick up our kid! Hi, My 4 year old just started her school. Initially she was very excited to go to school but after a week she started crying. She cries so bad that it's difficult for me to send her to school. I really don't know what went wrong. He couldn't tell me what happen. His school hrs is from 7am- 12.20 noon. I am worried and don't know what to do.
Going to try and implement all your advice 🙌 Has anyone got a little one where the anxiety is starting around bed time ? The knowledge school is in the morning is causing my 5yo to have similar issues at bed time also 😪
Considering it’s her first week, she has been crying during bedtime and mornings. She loves her morning and bed time routine but now she hates it and cries inconsolably for hours on end.
My little daughter once we get to school from the car. Inmediately jumps on my neck for hugs and doesn't wants to go off.. any recommendations for this process.
My daughter just started year 2 and has started crying at drop off then her teacher has to carry her up because she wont walk. I thought now that she is older and used to her school I wasn’t expecting this to happen again. 😢 she does like school but at times she does the crying
I'm sorry this must be so distressing for both of you! The start of a new year or even a new term can be really difficult for children in any year group, even if they do like school. Has her teacher said anything about how she is once inside? Does she calm down or is she still upset?

Thanks for this. As parents, all we see is the initial drop off, pickup and perhaps a few photos.
Thank your for your time in making this video. It is very helpful.
What if they cry all time and hate class
Thank you I needed this because this is my Kindergartner keeps doing at our car pool drop offs in the mornings
Just saw ur channel, homeschooled my kindergarten son and he will attend a summer camp starting June to help him transition for 1st grade school. Excellent routine I will start practicing!
Good luck!!
When i notice that a child is clingy and crying at drop offs, i carry the child, i sing or make the child feel welcomed and safe. Teachers can also help the child feel safe and relaxed. A child will never forget a child who makes them happy and relaxed. It's very important!
My 8 years old son cry daily and back Homa I miss too upset please help me to make him strong .
this video was great thank you i will certainly try the drop off routine 🙏🙏
I remember being so excited going to kindergarten and not understanding why kids were crying. I think it’s because I was one of 5 kids and we lived in a 1 bedroom apartment with nothing fun to do but daydream. Maybe what parents need to do is make home a little boring a few weeks before school starts so they want to get away???
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I didn't go to pre school I started school when I was 7 years old because my mom is very protective I didn't cry and when my father came to take me home I refused to go with him I wanted to stay in the school 😅
Thank you so much. Having problems with my grandson.
I have this with my triplets. They feed off of each other's energy and cry double time.
I'm seven when I was younger I cry d but now when I go I am fine
You are brilliant thanks for this VDO xx
You're welcome I hope it was helpful!
Hi, my son is 3 and just started kindergarten but every morning he doesn't want to go to school. They have called me to go pick him up and start taking him to school for only two hours until he gets used to the idea of being in a class. I am worried that he will never get use to it and that he thinks that this is some kind of punishment. I will try your kiss, hug, high 5, bye routine and see if it gets any better.
I will definitely try your tips my.son is 4yrs old.and just start school he cried all the.day that he will not go to school tomorrow he used to cry on bed time.also he.used.ti.say that.other kids bulling him
Best advice ever. Thank you so much!

I'm loving your videos! My son is 4 and is starting his first day at VPK in one week! I can't tell you how much anxiety and thoughts have gone through my head , and I'm sure I wouldn't have to anyway because you seem to understand perfectly. I've seen two of your videos so far they are exactly what I've needed to hear . Thank you so much and please continue to share as many as you can
alina solar I am so pleased I have helped to put your mind at rest! Please let me know if there is anything else you want to see and best wishes to your little one 😊
Little Learners I have a 4 year old daughter she did well the first 2 weeks of pre k then the crying began during waking her up to school and drop off crying holding on to me it’s been month since school started . My child starts school at 8:30 but he hate math and he cry’s because he scared of we don’t come and pick him up at 2:30
When I was younger my dad would drive me to the bus stop and I would cry on the bus , in my dad's car , and walking to the bus and it was so bad my dad told my mom to start taking me cuz he was so sad when he saw me crying every day and I would even cry in the morning, yes, I did have social anxiety and still to this day, ppl have to friend me bc I'm a VERY shy child, and I wanna know if you understand why I would be so sad?
Thank you so much. I really needed this one.
My 4 crys at drop off , gets better, then sor of doesnt want to engage in activities ( per teacher) then she ‘s weepy though out the day. Teacher says mia goes to the quiet cubby alot, crys, then is better. Its like a rollercoaster.
im 15 and im crying because i feel so overwhelmed with online school
Hi, I'm so sorry you're feeling overwhelmed. Do you have an adult you can speak to about this?
i speak to my dad alot about and he helps alot
I'm really glad you can speak to your Dad. It is important to be honest if you are feeling overwhelmed, so make sure you tell him. We are in a very difficult situation right now and it is absolutely understandable that you would be feeling overwhelmed ❤
Same here .
I am a college student (18 years old ) and i was so stressed with Online Learning
This is my daughters 3rd day in pre-K and she was not having at all today she didn’t want to get up which I understand then here comes the bus time and nope she did not get on cried and grabbed on to me had to take her to school 🏫 she was not letting go the principal had to carry her to class 🥺😭 she said her teacher is mean because they colored a picture and couldn’t bring it home to mommy 😭😢 She didn’t do this at all the 1st day or the 2nd but I saw many kids doing it today 😢
My grand baby cried 2.5 hours and wouldn't stop. I had to pick him up. He is really having a hard time. Is he to young at 23 months?
I too wanna know. My son is 2 yrs and cries too much. Today it was his 1st day i an worried how long it will take for him to adjust in day care😢
My lityle boy is 6 too he does the same thing he tells me his leg hurts or stomach I see you posted 7 moths ago how is yoyr little one doing now??
My 6 year old is screaming bloody murder and holding onto the walls and doors to avid entering the building. I can hear him screaming from outside of the building. I know he's sad but I feel terrible for him, the disturbance of the class, the teacher, the other classes that are also being disturbed... I feel so defeated and I don't know how to help :(
My kid is 6 we have a hard time almost every morning to go to school. He has major meltdown. I don't know what to do also , I just have to deal with it one day at a time.
It's normal in our school we had a 6 years old girl crying and making a scene
My son escaped his preschool class room and ran home 5 blocks away
Take him out - they probably didn't see him escape. They should do a better job watching the kids.
thank you for this wonderful video...
Thank you! This helps ease my worries!
I'm so glad! :)
Mine 6 year old is the 1% that will cry all day. I have to use strength to pull him from the car to the office every morning. This is great information I wish it would work for me because I've tried everything. 😕
You put "insecure attachment" in air quotes, but it's a real theory in psychology.
Thank you for this-
My 4 year old started Pre School in September and for being home with me his entire life, he adjusted pretty fast.
Unfortunately, it’s been a little over a Month and he’s starting to regress-
He goes in the afternoon and as soon as I mention getting ready for school, he starts to cry and he’ll continue to cry on/off, until I drop him off. I try to wait as long as I can before mentioning it. As I know that’s when the emotions start.
But I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried to talk to him/ ask him if something happened, etc. and he always has the same response-
(He’s going to miss me).
Thank you for the Video....We are dealing even this now and it's been difficult
My child just started daycare , he has been having nightmares ( he wokes up in the middle of the night saying “ don’t leave me mama “ , he pee him self twice this week , 😢 it hard , specially because I work there and I can’t see him until pickup time
Hi my 2 year old, goes to the childcare twice a week, but he is really bad for first 15 mins and settles through out. Problem starts when he is at home for the rest of the week. He keeps saying ‘no school’ repeatedly. Doesn’t eat, feels like he has taken over his emotional health and I’m worried.
Our little ones do homeschool and are very happy doing so. If at all possible, I encourage you to keep your little one at home.
Thank you so much!
I Just Turned 15 And Yes I do
What about when the child had a good day at school but cries as soon as they see parent at pick-up?
I have the same issue, I can’t say much given that it’s her first week but I get sent pictures of my child playing and she looks happy but cries inconsolably after she gets home. I read somewhere that kids try to keep it together when they are in daycare but burst the moment they see their parents or caregivers or are in a safe place.
My daughter won’t stop crying and it’s been two weeks now starting kindergarten. Cries at night before, cries in the morning going , cries when she comes home that she doesn’t want to go back..
Is it better now ?
@@nihaopaty steady improvements every week. End of the 4th week now, and today she didn’t cause any trouble thank goodness
Its tough for me to see this as a father cause i always wanna fix it
Thank you so much for this video
This was tremendously helpful, thank you!! 🙏🤍
Don't drop your kids off ANYWHERE!!! Learn to home school!...
Hi, how is your daughter doing now ? I'm asking because I need help with my daughter she just started and is crying all day and it's making me sad
@@tinamarie4362 hi same situation for me now, i am so stressed, i cant sleep at night thinking about how i am gonna stop her crying at school, can u give me some advice???
HELLO I WOULD USE THIS TIP. MY 4YEAR OLD SON JUST STARTED SCHOOL FOR FIRST TIME HE DID GOOD THE FIRST 3DAYS BUT YESTERDAY AND TODAY THE TEACHER CALLED ME AND LET ME TALK TO HIM. HE WAS CRYING SAYING ITS TO MANY KIDS IN HIS CLASS
But here he knows what he is doing he will start crying as soon as leaves in the classroom and then he stops crying after seeings. We have explained everything in ways but he so adamant to go school with his behavior now prek schooling asked us to not send him. Please help us please
I'm right there with you mom. We have a 5 year old son who has been at the same daycare for 3 years(different teachers here and there) but he cries and goes hysterical everytime. He's happy and excited all morning even in the drive there and walking in until we get to the class door. We're at our wits end with dealing with this.
I don't understand why parents are insisting on forcing their children to do this when it's not working. Have you considered homeschooling?
Very helpful
Thank you so much - 🌼
Thanks for the info
Thank u so much
Hi,
My 4 year old just started her school. Initially she was very excited to go to school but after a week she started crying. She cries so bad that it's difficult for me to send her to school. I try to give her cuddles but nothing works. She keeps puking in the morning saying I don't want to go away from u mumma. And even in the class she doesn't eat anything. She stays hungry for almost 4-5 hours and pukes in the class too. Please guide me how do I make her go to the school happily
Hiii is she okay now? My daughther does the same thing and im so stressed
Thank you so much! this helps me alot. 😞
Thanks very much,❤️
My daughter is having a hard to time at head start even in the morning when i am getting her dress and when I leave her at school and the same thing happens when I pick her up..
Doesn't work after someone from school starts hurting them!!! Hannah usually loves going!!! Your mean!!!

My son is 5 he wasn't crying for the last 2 weeks. This week he started to refuse going to school, he said he doesn't want to go to school and started crying in the morning. I really don't know what went wrong. He couldn't tell me what happen. His school hrs is from 7am- 12.20 noon. I am worried and don't know what to do.
Hi Mona, sorry for the late reply. Have you spoken to his teachers? Has anything happened at school to upset him?
I am 7 and I really miss my mom and dad it’s her faulted my really miss my family
Going to try and implement all your advice 🙌
Has anyone got a little one where the anxiety is starting around bed time ?
The knowledge school is in the morning is causing my 5yo to have similar issues at bed time also 😪
Not at bedtime but as soon as she wakes up that's the first thing she mentions, mommy I don't want to go to school
Same
Same when bed time and when he woke up.
Considering it’s her first week, she has been crying during bedtime and mornings. She loves her morning and bed time routine but now she hates it and cries inconsolably for hours on end.
Thank you
My new doll Bronchospasm is 14 months old and started throwing herself back She started the jumperoo and threw herself back in jumperoo 0:00
My little daughter once we get to school from the car. Inmediately jumps on my neck for hugs and doesn't wants to go off.. any recommendations for this process.
So what if none of this is working. Been 3 months and things gettin worse.
@@LittleLearnersVideos yes she is fine inside the class.. only drop offs and even after school clubs she doesnt want to do I had to go and get her yesterday
This helpd im not crying right now
