Personally, I dont mind to see some shot put but people who watch this video might not be interested. I dont know, if you run in first heat and the last heat you will get more rest between the races, however its just a matter of maybe 20-30 minutes. I dont know how much that affects the performance or if you simply want the races done as quickly as possible.
and, especially nowadays, these big championship races often end up being slow and tactical for the first few laps at least, unless someone takes it on. But yeah, in my mind cracking a sub-8 minute clocking in a 3000 is definitely at least national level.
