This was a well explained video. I agree with teamwork on cooking because as a family, I always cleaned up because I wasn't comfortable with the propane stove. Now, I'm stuck because I won't be able to use this stove at home in case of a power outage.
I remember watching my son teach his sister to put up a tent; what a job to keep quiet and let him do it!
Finally, I think carrying a small sewing kit for mending your socks is a good way to prevent blisters when hiking.

I am glad to help. Remember that Tenderfoot is the first rank to have a Board of Review. All the rest up to Eagle Scout have BOR. Don’t worry, it’s not a test, mostly the board member just ask question about what you like or don’t like. Be prepared to recite the Oath, Law, and Outdoor Code.

Kami Tsukiya I received this email from BSA:
“... As is our practice in Scouting, our efforts are focused on preparation and responsiveness guided by official health organizations, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization. Remaining vigilant in hand hygiene and social distancing are some of the most important practices, especially in communities where there is confirmed community spread of the virus. The CDC offers helpful aids to guide these efforts, including:
Keeping Workplaces, Homes, Schools and Commercial Establishments Safe
      Framework for Mitigation
Since the impact of the virus varies greatly by community, each council is working closely with their local health department to evaluate the situation and make decisions in the best interest of their members, volunteers, and employees. Please refer questions about local events, meetings, and activities to your council, as they are best positioned to provide those answers.
We are taking similar steps as a national organization as we evaluate how to best navigate the current situation with safety being our top priority. We are currently evaluating critical events and travel through the next six weeks, and we will continue to evaluate the situation and update you about any decisions impacting future events, including the National Annual Meeting and activities at our high adventure bases....”

Kami Tsukiya I recieved this email from our BSA Camp:
“For the next 30 days, between March 13 and April 15, the following measures are being taken by the Central Florida Council:
Camp La-No-Che and other Council Camp Properties:
At this time the Camps remain open for unit camping and small group activities.
No more than 250 total participants may be in attendance at Camp La-No-Che.
Large group youth activities (activities of 250 or more) are to be immediately postponed and rescheduled. Event leaders will communicate rescheduled dates for the activities at a later time.
All Units and small group activity leaders are required to implement the BSA Pre-Event Medical Screening Checklist (CLICK HERE).
Council Ranger Staff are doing extra cleaning and sanitizing in restrooms and public spaces at the Camp.
While hand washing stations and supplies are provided throughout camp, unit and activity leaders are encouraged to bring their own supplies and sanitizer as well.
      District and Council Activities
Large group youth activities (250 or more planned attendees/staff) scheduled between now and April 15 are to be postponed and rescheduled. Additional cancellations/postponements will be assessed through an ongoing process at the Council level.
Detailed announcements for each activity/event scheduled within the affected time period (March 15 - April 15) will be sent through separate communications starting Monday, March 15.
Small group youth activities/camps (under 250) and are required to implement the BSA Pre-Event Medical Screening Checklist.

      Regular weekly Unit Meetings/Outings
Based on meeting patterns, location, and meeting space consideration, each chartered partner should locally determine any potential change in regular meetings.
The Central Florida Council suggests units use the BSA Pre-Event Medical Screening Checklist for youth-parent activities; and, prior to departing for unit overnight campouts and field trips.”

Kami Tsukiya I received this from my Troop Charter Org Rep:
“-As of right now [Charter Org] is going to continue to function and have church services. This is of course a fluid situation and can change at any time.
-It is up to each individual Patrol and Scout if they want to continue meeting. Meeting in small groups is fine, but at this point I would recommend canceling larger group meetings until school is back in session.
-Campouts and meetings will be suspended until school is back in session [on Mar 30th].”

    • @EagleScoutMacGuzman

It’s possible but will take a lot of work. Up to First Class there are a lot of camping requirements. After that there are time constraints and merit badges: Star (4 months, 6 MBs), Life (6 months, 5 MBs), Eagle (6 months, 21 MBs). And then you have the Eagle Project which has taken me five months.
