  • Take a walk with me around the Wild Place Project in South Gloucestershire. This project will soon be closing and re-opening as the Bristol Zoo Project from next year so this was a chance to see it before the site as it is before its transformation from a 50-acre site to a 123-acre site begins.

    Hello Jesse,
A very interesting walk through the "Wild Place Project Zoo" that I will never see like this! By the time I can probably move to Bristol, the Zoo will be called the "Bristol Zoo Project" then! Thanks for taking me on a very interesting tour of this lovely Zoo; I would be tempted to try this barefoot path if the path was still available when it reopened! As a side note, the parked cars come across as rustic, a bit like in the films 'Jurassic Park'.
    Have a nice afternoon Jesse!
Many Greetings from Deutschfeistritz, Styria 🇦🇹, Christoph 😊🌴🦓🦒
🚗 I know you don't drive, but do you have a favorite make of car that you like a lot (especially from Design)? 🚗 😇

I think this is the idea with the parked cars 😁
I think much of what is there at the moment will still be there next year and into the future - I think they're most likely just going to be expanding what they already have, Bear Wood for example only opened in 2019. The estate itself is huge but only a small portion of it is currently open to the public (this will be increasing as it transitions to the new zoo).

The parked cars idea is definitely phenomenal! 😅
I'm very excited to see how the zoo will develop and what kinds of animals will be added to what you say isn't a very public area yet!
Are there also mountains in the Bristol area where cable cars run? 🚠🚡

@@christophgrail Bristol is quite hill-ey (I'm making up words again) but not to the extent where cable cars are needed. I think you might have more luck finding these kind of mountains over the river severn in Wales 😃

How far is Wales from Bristol?
Have you ever ridden a cable car...an interesting question, have you ever been to Styria, Austria 🇦🇹, Jesse? 😊
How far is the River Severn in Wales from your River Avon and is it true that they are the same river? 🏞

@@christophgrail Wales isn't far from here,, a short-ish train ride.
To be honest I've never left the UK (I don't even have a passport 😲 something I should probably change at some point!)
The River Severn and River Avon are connected but they aren't the same river, the Severn runs between England and Wales and the River Avon is much narrower and feeds into this at Avonmouth.
