Thanks! I love looking back on it during the cold winter months. It's only the beginning of January, but I'm already looking forward to next year. Thanks for watching!
I know everybody says eat lots of kale but, there is a down side to kale. Oxalic acid is naturally occurring and found in plants such as spinach, chard, beets, berries and kale. When your urine contains higher levels of calcium and oxalate than it can dilute, those calcium and oxalate crystals bind together and form into hard masses, or “stones," in the kidney
It's mostly Brenda and Don, but our kids and grandkids help out from time to time. We also have one volunteer who helps out once in a while too. Thanks for watching!!!
We do a large part of the work, but my daughter and son-in-law help when they are able. They just built a house on the property so will be able to help a lot more in the future now that they are close.
We haven't had any cicadas here yet, but our daughter-in-law brought some from her parent's house and yes, they ate then. If/when they hatch here I'll be giving them all of the cicadas I can catch. 😁
Your garden is beautiful ❤

This is my retirement dream
Donny retired a few years ago. This is a great "second act".

I didn't know that. I guess you can really get 'too much of a good thing'? Thanks for watching and for the info.
yep, I get chronic kidney stones and have to avoid high oxalate foods.
How many people do you have working on all of that ?
It’s all beautiful

Thanks!!! You are going to be able to see it on Monday. 😁 (And pick some yummy strawberries)
That's z huge garden! Do you and Dom take care of that all by yourselves or do you have help?

Garden looks wonderful!
Brenda, have you fed any cicadas to the chickens? Heard they love them.

Where do you buy your row coverings?
I've bought them from several places, but actually found some of the best prices on Amazon.
What kinda netting is that on your strawberries?
It's a mesh netting that has large enough holes that bees can get in, but birds can't get to the strawberries.
