- The online enbu performance is a special event we hold twice a year in our Seki Sensei’s online lessons. The students will choose their favorite Kata and perform it in front of Seki Sensei and the other students. Students whom Seki Sensei approves can appear in this video to show their progress. The students who performed best won the MVP, so please look forward to their performance, too.
So Seki Sensei, how did everyone do? After everyone’s performance, Seki sensei will perform the three most popular Kata and point out the mistakes that are commonly made, so please watch this video until the end. Watching this video will help you understand what techniques you can learn and how proficient you can become in the online lessons. By the way, we have started a new online lesson on Sundays at 10:30 pm JST. Check out our Patreon page for more information!

The Kobudo Asayama Ichiden Ryu, of which Seki Sensei is the 22nd headmaster, was one of the most popular Ryuha styles during the Edo period. In our golden age, we had over 7,000 students nationwide. Today, we only have 100 students. Our dream is to revive the golden age of Asayama Ichiden Ryu while Seki Sensei is still the headmaster. We want future generations to remember Seki Sensei as the legendary Sōké who brought back the glory of our Ryuha.
