There are only two houses that I have five fragrances from and I don't have more than five from any house. The two houses are Dior and Chanel. From Chanel, I have: BDC Parfum, BDC EDP, Edition Blanche, Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme, and Platinum Egoiste.
I just started getting into the cologne rotation/hobby . Always wore them here and there over the years but never ever had a rotation by any means lol. I’ve picked up about 10 old school 80s scents in the last couple weeks. Antaeus for me is my favorite so far besides Fahrenheit. I agree with this Chanel and Dior view. They both by far seem to have the best quality and I want to get more scents from those 2 houses especially Chanel. Thinking one of the Egoiste scents next for a purchase. The problem is you feel the Chanel and Dior are almost too good to wear to work lol.
Egoiste has to be my favorite, I got my dad a vintage bottle for his birthday it’s very strong. I have Antaeus but I will admit I have not worn it in a very long time
I don't have enough Chanel to come up with a six best list. Sycamore is probably my favorite, followed by Le Lion. I did smell Boy, but thought it was to powdery for my tastes. May get a decant though to give it a real try. I've been enjoying Platinum Egoiste, which is the newest addition to my collection. While you may not find Bleu de Chanel very interesting, I find the Parfum to be an easy grab. I find it perfect for any occasion.
You have great taste! I fancy trying Eau de Cologne and Pour Monsieur as these are the type of perfumes I wear. I prefer masculine or unisex type fragrances. I wear Chanel Cristalle EDT, No19 and no5 EDT ADP Colonia, Mirto De Panera, 4711, L'Eau Sauvage, Diorella, Guerlain Imperiale Cologne & Vetiver as I prefer old school type fragrances. I find modern mainstream fragrances too sweet.
i sold all my 7 fragrance, bought 150ml Allure Homme Sport as my signature, used one Missoni Wave last year and i really liked it :) I dont really like barbershop or "classic" "gentlemen" fragrances :)
I love the house of Chanel. My favourite ones are Egoiste, Bois Des Iles, and Chanel No5 (EDT), but honestly you can't go far wrong with most of the Chanel releases. The only line I don't connect with is the Allure stuff.

The only Chanel I finaly bought after some testings is Egoiste that I find a truly atemporal masterpiece and that still performs great after more than 30 years from launch. Pour Monsieur is beautiful, but the current formulation is poor and there are better options in the niche realm. Antaeus is a product of its time and frankly I find it dated. Platinum Egoiste is quite generic. The ones that I've tried from the Allure line haven't drawn me in. BdC is BdC: trendsetter - chapeau for that - but again, smells generic like a more up class deodorant or shower gel. And for that there are way affordable options in the market that capture the vibe and that are also not smelling cheap. Haven't tried yet their unisex offerings. All the best and cheers!
Tried egoiste 3 times last time I tried it the other day after 5 minutes I just knew I had to grab a bottle. I will probably get Antaeus and Cuir Dr Russie eventually as well
Antaeus today is nothing like the older editions. Try the current version - absolutely disappointing for me. Love the Chateau with the diving bezel - quirky.

Antaeus is classy but also kind of rugged. I wear it with a denim trucker jacket for a bad boy type look & it works great with a suit & tie
