DetectorPro only makes one combo, the "Uniprobe" it's a headset and PI probe combo, at $350 it ain't exactly cheap, but the sensitivity of the probe makes all the handheld probes look sick, we're talking several inches. Being pulse, theres no ID, but the depth is super! I am thinking seriously about the GT after watching, and more importantly listening to several vids.
you would love the "detectorpro" combo headset/probe...speeds up recoveries and may keep you from scratching a good silver coin with your digger by probing. Thanks for the review of the GT..BTW, it sounds alot like the excal..makes me wonder, same circuitry?
@DMIMAGE My advice would be to get the GT. The AT Pro has not lived up to it's hype. There are a few posts here on RUclips showing problems with the AT Pro. Hopefully Garrett will iron these out but until they do. . . The GT is a solid, deep, well constructed detector, a much better detector.
i too beleive Etrac is more hype. my Explorer xs is choice. I am considering a GT or Elite. why im watching your vids on gt. you should try a ML pro point. ratchet feature very helpful
The GT is now $1049! When I got mine they were $800. No it's not worth the extra $600, in my opinion. The GT is a nice detector, but I did not find any advantage using it. My "V" is as deep and much easier to pin-point. The "V" is also lighter and in all aspects, just as effective. I guess thats why I sold my GT. The only non-Tesoro I would recommend is the Whites MXT.
@DetectorOCD Thanks - went out today with my "V" and found 35 coins in 2 hours! Love this hobby!

@Daedalu You don't need to spend a lot to have a blast and get some great finds! Check out 53 silver's Vaquero videos! :) HH
I just bought the GT should be here tomorrow. And I want o use it in land and beach. I also bought the 180 meter.
Which Detector Pro do you have? I'm not sure about the Excal. The GT is excellent!
Cant you notch out the pull tabs? I thought that was one of the benefits with the GT over the other sovereigns or even the excal.

Depth wise, is the GT worth the extra over the Tesoro? They seem very similar. Thanks.

the gt is the best
Yes you can, but I'm one of those guys who digs everything - lost a lot being picky.
