“Schurwolle” means virgin wool in english, so basically wool that’s been taken from an animal that was still alive at the time - just “wool” could also mean that the shearing happened while the animal was deceased. thanks for keeping me company while knitting 😊
I love all your trackers. So glad to see that I’m not alone in enjoying all the numbers :) So sad I couldn’t join in the call but the time differences just made it impossible this time. Maybe I can be there again next time. I really enjoyed your projects! I don’t have a lot of knitting time these days but I am mostly working on a Sunday Suit for my little son. Really enjoyed your podcast and the Traveller looks amazing❤ I really like my handspun version and can definitely recommend it for using handspun.
Yay love another yarny data nerd! I think we'll try for the next one to be a weekend morning so hopefully you can join! I hope you're enjoying time with your little one!
@@ANdmadeco what were you expecting? I seriously generally do acrylic because I haven’t made one for a fiberglass friend before so this feels very bougie to me haha!
Very much agree with your psa!! I am definitely joining you for the Ribblesdale. I'll swatch today or tomorrow. I was going to explain the Schurwolle but Marlene did that already 😊 The direct translation of "Schur" is "shear".
Yes I saw her comment - I love learning new things from you all (I know I could have looked that up but I hate breaking the flow every time I have a question lol) I will share my swatch in the Discord tomorrow hopefully!
Thanks for your psa, i agree with your comments but had not heard about it anywhere else. Still doing gogo dynamo and double time. Loving the summer vibes. Summer top knit along yes! Will check out your list. Yes to the Salty air tee
Thanks for another great episode! I’m interested to hear how you like spinning cotton. I spun banana plant fiber recently and found that plant fibers are super fun/quick to spin and require a lot less twist. I’m working on the rococo raglan tee from Sari Nordlund and itching to line up my next project. Your ideas to start on the uptown pullover and/or another shirt knit sound so tempting.
@ your make 9 got me thinking and helped me realize I already have the uptown tee in my pattern library so either that or Aimee Sher’s weekday tee. I’m using EKF Denali sock in “Butterfly Pea Flower” for the rococo tee and am loving how vibrant the colorway is! Also, while it’s no way near as cold as the PNW, I’m happy to report it’s finally “sweater weather” here and my knits are loving all the attention 😌.
I might actually bite the bullet and set up tracking sheets.... We will see how this years finish tracking goes. I am nearly finished with my tolsta tee I'm making. I think I'm down to the body ribbing on the next skein! (Still need to do the final measure) I have a rather large blanket I'm halfway through as well .... Waiting on my it's too good to not stock up JoAnn order. The bonus is I'll have yarns for the market Henley pattern I picked up sooner than I expected. Also I fully understand the panic knit of do I have enough yarn. If I work faster the yarn will make it to the end mentality. Been there quite a few times. 😅
@@sunnystitcher5400 what yarn did you get for the Market Henley? The tracking sheets honestly help me so much but that first stash load is hard. I think I did mine over a month or so just pulling one shelf out at a time to record!
@a_knotty_mess I grabbed the K&C sock yarn from JoAnn. Thinking the neutrals color way or the bright blues. (6 of my 7 ordered colors have shipped and I should hopefully get them this next week)
I love your trackers. The thought of starting with my current stash is overwhelming, but I wish I had this. I need some local friends to help with a flat lay or something! LOL can I fly you here?? I would love to cast on something with you! just need to choose.
Thank you! I love all the additional data hehe. I did that with my stash just a little at a time to start! It's definitely slow going but worth it for me to just know what I even have!
Yeah I have a feeling it really could only be helped by holding a lace with it while knitting. I'll still use it but might be more precious about those obejcts!

That’s what I wanted to say too! :)
Thank you for explaining! I hate to stop and always look things up when I'm chatting away so I'm so glad I have attentive and helpful friends!
Yes Salty Air! I have a silk yarn in my stash that I really want to knit up for this spring too!
Let's do it!!

When you warned about the bougie blanket, la bien aimee was not what I was expecting 😂 that’s such a generous gift for your best friend! ❤

@ I usually do cotton or acrylic too, but understand the extra for a fiber friend! I was expecting hand dyed, but more in the Woolberry or EKF range 😂

Yes look through your list and let me know what looks good for joining in! That might help inspire me too hehe
@a_knotty_mess Salty Air tee, already in my queue think i have cotton for it , it might get done before winter temps in May
@ ok amazing I’ll let you know before I cast on - maybe it’ll be next week!
Something by colour would be cool I think. Be fun to see what everyone does with their colours
Ohh like a KAL for pink tees or something?
@@a_knotty_messyes I think it could be fun. or even just a colour and see what items crop up

Is that your own fibre tracker you made up?
Yeah I took some of the fields from my yarn tracker and some were inspired by how you can track Handspun in Ravelry but with different options etc!
