Protocol means rules that are needed for communication (Example If LAN 1 follows A protocol and LAN 2 follows B protocol then It cannot be connected in a bridge) MAC addresses are stored for information purposes....If you want to retreive or collect what devices had used your device , then stored mac address will help (MAC Addresses are unique address that are used to identify devices in the network) To simply Say Repeater : not a intelligent device (Because it doesn't store mac address and is unable to recognise destination ... it justs simply repeats the signal forwarded to it Bridge : a intelligent device (Because it stores mac address and knows the destination)
After watching next lecture. LAN1 operating on Ethernet and LAN2 operating on WIFI......Can bridge be used here ? No, they are operating on different protocols. Router will be used.
thanx sir for this explanation ! but i have a small question , if the bridge has two ports then what is th use of checking the frame header , i thoght the checking was intended to help routing frames between mutiple LANs ,
Thanks, well done. It seems your syntax is alittle fast, perhaps you could slow down just a little. As noted in previous comments I like to think about what has been said.
I don't understand this lecture because you provide no visualization examples in this lecture My suggestion is to provide a visual example with ip addresses and mac addresses
Thank you so much sir for helping me in every exam
Hello man, welcome to you.
Please explain what is meant by running on same protocol...and what bridge does by storing the MAC addresses
Same doubt
@@vivedhini6200 same protocol means the same communication medium, it creates the mac address table so that it can work efficiently

@@sathish5470 super bro
sir may you upload videos about routing algorithm or complete this course. thanks for your efforts
Plz do video about Gateway..
What does mean by same protocols and different protocols?
I bet he doesn't even know. His job is just reading slides apparently.
thank you
what do you mean by "Different Protocols"?
Different computer or nodes
Thanks for topic
God bless you sir ...
superb

Sir if you have time please make a videos of Gateway Network Device
How, are you bro and what are you doing now?
Is linux necessary to learn networking?
Kinda. If you wish to dig deep. You'll learn in the process.
Plz upload vedioes on daily basis
Thankyou sir

Kindly explain it not read it
The explanation is written by the teacher only.
He is not reading. He explained the concept beautifully.
Use brain not just eyes
