Great video, at 31:30, when this check valve fails in the Intake it will knock out the valve cover diaphragm, both should be replaced at the same time. Another issue is when you use such low vac as -2. to -6.inH2O crankcase vacuum it will overheat the Oil Control rings and in some instances(Using cheap oil) will carbon up and cause oil consumption issues. The crankcase needs to see -1. to -3.inHg to cool the rings by extracting the heat of blow-by away from the ring pack.
Low vacuum is like going back to the Draft Tube and requires the really short OCI's. The DI engines have the smell of fuel in the oil bc of this as well bc 70% of Blow-by is HC's. There are 2 ways to keep oil clean, the oil filter and the PCV System and they've disabled the second one. The engine should be cleaner on the inside than the outside.
