Great tutorial for keys solos. Everything is extremely well explained and well worth a watch. Excellent.
Thanks for this. I actually had this blues pentatonic memories but I thought it only fits in for 12 bars or funk but I didn’t realised it can be used for other key scale. It is really good tips thanks so much !
definetely a video I will reccomend I'm a metal keyboardist and I'm quite the begins nner to soloing this video has definetely made me a better player in just a day!god bless you man!
This was so useful for me, thank you so much for sharing Doug! Brilliant stuff! =D
Very cool mate! Appreciate you sharing....thanks
The minor blues scale with the tritonel... I find myself resorting to that scale way too much. Im trying to solo without it these days, but yeah it is useful.
emilshere blues scale has the Tritone in it already
Thank you very much. This tutorial is the best I've seen so far.
This was awesome. Hope you make some kick ass retrowave with this 🤘
Aah the blues scale, so versatile!
it totally is! always wanted to learn how to do this riff! My synth has new life
great tutorial - probably one of the most useful I've seen on youtube!! Thanks!
Wow!! This is the single most important video I’ve watched for learning keyboards. I’m a guitar player but am learning keys. Thank you thank you!!
That was very neat. I'm not as dexterous as you, but I have a few cheats of my own. I was gratified when I went to see the Grandmothers play (Zappa's old band) and Don Simmons was using the exact same cross hand solo technique I used (and thought I was cheating horribly!) I haven't played keys seriously now for a long time, but the world of the iPad opens up a whole new world of cheats, chief amongst which is the facility to solo and change the available notes on the fly. No more bum notes, but all the flexibility of the kind of inter-key modulations that make a track sing. I agree 100% that so much lies in the modulation, and again the iPad is so great for that. I love the likes of AniMoog and ThumbJam, which allow modulation in multiple directions of travel as well as over time. Delish!

*knowing this very scale has brought new life to my Korg KARMA Workstation or to ANY synth I come into contact with*
Great solo advice! Thanks!
Thank you for this! I am not a good keyboard/synth player, therefore assumed I will never be able to play a nice (not note by note learned) solo. But thanks I found this. It sound really nice, even by me:-)
wow, sounds great! I'm a poor beginner (although I'm already in my late40s) but I will try and practice this very cool riff! Thanks for the explanation!
Thank you for the tutorial, kind sir!
DUDE!! this was so helpful. Thanks so much bro!
Brother thank you amazing technique
Can you please tell me what kind of Korg you are using
Thanks!!!🤘
That's an awesome video. I'll definitely be trying that out. Thanks.
Thank you very much for a trick.
I'd LOVE if you transcribed a few of the essential riff variations as a PDF. After a few months go by, I'll forget all except the basic scale. Or haha maybe I should do this myself.
Thank you for this!
Thanks, great tips.
Nice, thanks for sharing!
Awesomeness! Thanks
Thank you very much!!!!! Subscribed

Hi, really sorry, I'm completely self taught and have no idea what fingering technique I use, I just like to play
C Blues Scale is pretty versatile.
Great 👍🙏
Great stuff! I "discovered" the blues scale quite a while ago (in an iPad App actually) and used it a lot. Then I felt it sounded always similar... But you gave me lots of inspiration to use differently!
Thanks!!!
Dude it sounds incredible though

This basic notes of this riff defined at the beginning is actually an Indian Raga which has existed for hundreds of years...
thank you sir its an amazing lesson well I'm basically self taught so sir if you plz can tell me how you made that distorted sound its really awesome the sound and if you kindly tell me a way to play such distorted sound on keyboard than I will be forever great full to you sir
Kranty & keys just get s great keyboard or amp. If you already have a cool enough keyboard go to the synthesizer settings and pick one of the loudest and crispiest you can find when just plucking a single note they're great for deep What I Call Guitar whammy bar Benz when you get down to the low end of the scale
You know Peter H.?

Thanks for this Doug I feel like I'm your apprentice now. Even though we're about the same age and I've wasted 40 years of my life working in the worst factories. This is going to be my new life now.
Peter P Donated.
Thank you ehhhhhhhh this is very ehhhhhhh helpful ehhhhhhhhh thank ehhhhhhhh you
This is just superb, I have been researching "learning lead guitar beginners" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Ganyatty Guitar Gainify - (do a search on google ) ? Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my brother in law got great results with it.
It's just a blues scale lmao
Wow, man, is it, really, wow, you must be one genius musician man, wow, thanks for pointing this out, wooooow, life will never the same, thanks bruh..
He literally says that in the video. But thanks for pointing that out. You wanna add that he’s just playing a keyboard, coz we might’ve missed that too.
All solos are basically based on scales.
