I own a 2021 Sienna Limited. Last night I loaded 6 adults and one child in a car seat in to my van. We drove 140 miles over undulating Oklahoma state highway roads, passed a few cars and trucks, went up a few hills, and cruised for a time at 78 mph (80 was the speed limit.) There was plenty of pickup each time we over took slower vehicles going around 74 mph. We were also traveling directly into a 14 mph wind. Because of of the heavy load, our speed, and the headwind, we only averaged 32 mph. Last week, with only my wife and myself aboard, on our 850 mile trip to Oklahoma from Alabama, we averaged 39.3 mph - registered both on our display AND on the amount of gas we put in the tank. On that trip we drove a little slower at between 67 and 70 mph which accounted for the higher mpg. On the return trip from Oklahoma to Alabama next week, I anticipate getting 40 to 41 mpg because of an expected tail wind. I’m 85 years old and have owned many cars and minivans during my life. I traded in a 2018 Odyssey V6 for the Sienna. Yes, the Sienna makes more noise when accelerating, but the results are about the same. I think back to 1994 when I bought a Dodge Grand Caravan with all the bells and whistles - I opted for the biggest engine they offered (a 165 horse, 3.8 liter power plant.) The 2021 Sienna sports a 245 horse V4 engine. In all, I liked your review. Keep up the good work.
When you say "32 mph" at the end of the second paragraph, and "39.3 mph" towards the beginning of the third; Did you mean mpg? (Not sure. Just want to verify.)
We purchased the 2021 Sienna XSE here in Canada earlier this year. If your after a fast do-everything mini van, go Honda Odyssey; If your after a luxury mini van, go Chrysler Pacifica. If you want a good combo of both, proven resale value, proven reliability and unbeatable fuel economy, go Sienna. We purchased it because 80-90% of our driving is inner city and constantly in stop and go traffic (under 60km/hr). We have had the car a few MONTHS now, and I have only filled it up a twice. I got 1000kms out of a single tank which cost me $80 to fill. I never have to plug it in to get electric charging and most of my trips end up being 80% EV mode. I've tasted the fruit, and now there's no going back.
Not all minivan buyers are families with a load of kids. My wife and I are retired, in our fifties, and love our minivan. We like the comfort and space. If we go shopping and see something large that we want to buy, we can, because we have plenty of space. We also like and can afford all of the amenities. Ours is a 2017 Sienna Limited Premium AWD. I do like the V6, and as you pointed out, not sure the 4 cylinder hybrid would have enough get up and go, but then again, 36 mpg is hard to ignore. BTW, our other car is a Dodge Challenger Shaker for fun! 😂 As always, enjoyed your video! You guys are great!
Awesome, mini-vans are for everyone and I agree about buying large items, you know they will always fit. What a fun second car too. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoy the reviews.
If I want a fast vehicle, I would buy a sports car. This is minivan that is rated at 36 MPG which is a game changer. The Sienna has more room and versatility, than the Highlander hybrid and cost $4,000 less. Sure I like the Highlander hybrid, but not when the Sienna has more value.
The Sienna having more value only comes down to what you want or need the most. I chose the Highlander Hybrid because A) is better fitted to the power output, B) it has a higher Seating position and better headroom (fact) and the height is surprisingly less than a half inch difference, C) it has a greater ground clearance, D) JD Power ranks its reliability higher, E) the center console on the Sienna feels too claustrophobic because it feels like the cabin space is cut down. I don't need the extra cargo space of the Sienna so I'm good there. F) the Sienna is noisier in the cabin. The value comes down to both price and what your wants/needs are. In my area, the price difference at the time of this writing is only $3K, and the waiting is longer for the less produced Sienna.
Everytime I think about buying something other than a minivan, I look at what I am getting for that money... a smaller interior space, less cargo space, less amneties and generally cramped driving space. Comparably, everything else should be 10s of thousands less than minivans. You have to go top of line Suburban territory to come close.
perfect review. nailed all the questions I had specifically regarding v6 vs hybrid and 2nd row. love the debate about the different trims; i'm with zac as a young father (don't bother with high end trim because the kids will trash it) but totally understand Andreas points too if its the only household vehicle. keep up the great reviews!
Great review! My husband too my 2017 Sienna XLE up to the dealer today and traded it for the 2021 Sienna hybrid XLE AWD. I have hardly driven it but I LOVE IT. I think it drives fantastic so far. Kind of reminds me of my Subaru which they ride so smooth. I think it feels like it has a little better pickup and handle than my 2017. I have a 4 yr, 2 yr, and I'm due with a new baby in November. Mama is happy! Sure, it has a lot nicer trim to be a box on wheels but mama deserves nice things too.
Andrea is such a great addition. Love the one two punch of Zach the enthusiast, and her REAL WORLD interaction with the car day in and out. She’s a valuable asset for sure.
The new "For Your Consideration" segment is a welcome and clever add on the the review. Changing up the review format gives subscribers something new to look forward to, otherwise after a while the reviews tend to get a bit mundane. Good stuff 👍.......oh I also like the "Night Lights" and "Price Pause" segments as well
Good review! Based on the title of the video I was hoping to see few more comparisons between Highlander Hybrid 2022 and this Sienna. Appreciate more inputs to help take a decision.
While I have enjoyed the V6 in our 2008 Sienna and 2015 Venza, I miss the fuel economy of my TDI Passat and Jettas. Having sacrificed performance for mileage, I have no problem doing the same for my next family hauler. I am used to it.
Great review as always. Just finished a leisure rental f(XLE) or a wedding. Almost 1800 miles from Ohio to Florida for a wedding, loaded up with gear and people. Drove her hard and averaged 32.7 mpg. The engine/CVT combo revs like crazy when you need power. Annoying yes; dealbreaker? I don't know. We rented it to see just what it would be like. Looking to buy in two years so we will see what is on the market at that time. I will say the Sienna was very comfortable. We were in the car for 15 hours; long day but it was okay.
Great review as always Andrea & Zach. 4 cyl hybrid is perfect for most families since 80% of their driving is done in the city. The extra power would be great for the highway but you have to ask yourself where will you drive this vehicle mostly. I agree with Zach, these should be cheaper in cost. Gone are the days for a less than 20k van to beat up for 10 years.
I have owned 2 2022 Toyota Sienna's and can confirm it has plenty of power to get the job done. I have had the van loaded with cargo while towing a 3,000 pound boat. We drove it from Wisconsin to Florida with absolutely no issues. HWY 24 in Tennessee has a 5% grade and still no issues.
I DROVE ONE A MONTH AGO,I WAS QUITE PLEASED WITH IT, I REALLY DIDN'T NOTICE THE BRAKES. I THINK THE 2 MOTORS REALLY HELP IT WITH THE LOW END POWER, IT REALLY TOOK OFF WELL. MY 2002 ODYSSEY HAD 240 H.P. SO THAT WOULD BE FINE WITH ME, AS IT'S JUST MY WIFE AND MYSELF, VERY NICE REVIEW, I HAVE A 2012 SIENNA XLE NOW, WE JUST LOVE IT, GREAT FOR TRIPS, AT 60K HAD TO REPLACE THE WATER PUMP AS THE BEARING WAS MAKING NOISE. 1ST TOYOTA TO HAVE A PROBLEM, BEEN LUCKY I GUESS, I AM A TOYOTA FAN, BOUGHT THE WIFE A 2016 LEXUS NX 200T, AWESOME LITTLE SUV, 4+ YRS OLD AND IT JUST TURNED 5,300 MILES, WHITE PEARL, TURBO, HEATED COOLED SEATS, AWESOME VEHICLE, HAVE A GREAT WEEK.
Thanks for explaining that new air bags is the reason why the middle seats can't be removed. We have a 2015 Sienna, and take the middle seats out all the time. When I heard that the 2021 Sienna didn't have this option, I was very surprised/disappointed.
Technically the seats can be removed but not so conveniently. You just need to take out 4 bolts and unclip a wiring harness. Then the seats will come out.
Any issues with power or engine noise? That seems to be everyone's concern and of course the second row seats unable to be removed. I have had my odyssey for 10 years now and have only removed the second row seats once. Although the flexibility of removing the seats would be nice. I'm leaning towards the Sienna over the Odyssey currently, but it's a close.
@@mnelson505 yeah the engine can be loud. I put it echo mode and it seemed to cut down on the noise. The sliding seats can give you an incredible amount of leg room.
@Motormouth: did you test a FWD or a AWD variant of the XLE? I am wondering if an AWD variant is better to address the possible issue you mentioned (engine is very taxed when the minivan is fully loaded by passenger or cargo)
Thanks for the video. Do you know if the woodland edition will be coming to Canada in 2023? Alternatively, do you know if they’ll be introducing an option for black leatherette or leather seats in 2023 on a 7 seat, AWD configuration?
With the mark ups imposed by Toyota dealers, the Platinum edition is commonly listed at $65,000. For that price a Lexus RX450h is much better buy unless you have to have 7 seats. It probably has better resale value as well.
In all the years we’ve had minivans, I think we might have removed the 2nd row seats once. As for the Chrysler’s “Stow and Go” seats, maybe they’re okay for kids but they’re certainly not comfortable enough for adults.
The one thing that always made mini vans appealing to me was the versatility. You could haul people or cargo. Not being able to remove the middle row seats destroys that versatility. It's a deal breaker for me.
There is a caveat. You would have to collapse the 2nd row seats forward and then prop the 4x8 sheet atop the 2nd row seat for it to fit. 8 feet is 96 inches. The max floor distance from back of 2nd row seat to rear of van is around 78 inches.
Yeah that was misleading in the video. It’s a key point with this gen and a measuring tape could have demonstrated this quickly. Guess you would cracking off your drywall sheet pretty quick!
I love the new Toyota Sienta van based off of the … wait for it … the Yaris chassis! Available only in Japan and other south east Asia markets. Sounds crazy but for me it would be perfect for this retired senior’s needs. I’ve had 2 Siennas over the years and love both. By the way since the time that you’ve made this video, I’ve discovered that there’s an easy way now to remove those seats and disable the airbags. Just a little plug-in dongle and voilà the airbags are disabled without any warning and check engine lights etc. and then it’s just a matter of taking the seats out. Quite frankly I have no need to do that but I have seen it done by other users that wanted the extra room.
Hey guys, the better fuel economy with more weight compared to Highlander can be achieved through a couple of way. Better aerodynamics, lower rolling resistance tires, higher gearing if engine is same (will sacrifice speed tho), also if ignition timing was pulled back a bit, or on a Atkinson cycle it could eek out extra mpgs. highlander Hyb is about 7.5 sec, so the 11s to 100, im thinking gearing is quite low to get revs down on the hwy.
First, great review guys. Now, I think this Sienna is vastly improved in appearance with this new model. I always hated the exterior design of the Toyota minivan but I would pick this over the Honda and we have owned 2 different Honda Odyssey minivans.
I agree with the question. My first exposure to the 21 Sienna was an LE set to Eco mode. I pinned the accelerator and it felt like there was an anchor attached to the bumper. I found the switch that changes to normal and power. It felt better in the latter.
It’s funny how people have mini van stigmatism. All our neighbours drive ugly suvs and have no room inside. All the European crap is always in the shop getting fixed. Our 18 sienna has been flawless. We will be getting this one once they arrive in Ontario. Great review guys!!
Just got a 2021 Sienna, traded in our 3 row SUV. And today while dropping off the kids I saw a mom trying to pull 2 kids out of an suv in a tight parking spot. Once you go sliding doors it’s hard to go back 😀
I think if Toyota just added more sound insulation, it would do wonders for the perception that the 4cylinder is working hard. That's what they did with the Highlander. Probably it was easier on the Highlander with the fake long hood. Put in some acoustic glass in the front like the Pacifica at least.
I agree with this comment HOWEVER have you seen resale value on those Highlanders? From a drive-and-trade-in standpoint the Highlander wins. But if buying to keep forever, yeah it’s always been the Sienna even before the hybrid.
I was surprised to learn that the new Sienna comes with ventilated rear brakes. Why is this? Do other minivans do? are they expecting big break loads? Being a hybrid I would expect most of the brake load to be done by the electric motors.
All the reviewer keep saying the Odyssey can remove the 2nd row and very convenience for cargo, please try slide something from the rear and see how many times you need to try to lift your cargo, the 2nd row has the "magic slide" raise up like few inches... and the latching points behind the 2nd row also make your loading much harder
Great review. I test drove two and agree with everything you observed. I really like this van for its handling, seat comfort and overall interior styling except for the fact the 2nd row is not removable. That and the buzzy engine are the deal breaker for me. Very aggrevated because I really had high hopes for this van.
Good review as usual. Question ,can a this model fit a six footer in third row? My son and his family of five, are looking for a bigger vehicle within 6 weeks. They currently have Acura MDX. Any Suggestions? Thanks for your comments. We are in USA.
Looks great but lost much of the utility. For example the center console block ability to store long item (10'?). I don't think you can stuff a 4x8 sheet of plywood without removing the middle seat. May be the next video?
Why do Zak say we are not supposed to get to the back between the front seats? If the vehicle is parked, that’s an excellent option in inclement weather.
I've had my XSE AWD for a few weeks now. If I add the mileage Ive got on this tank so far to what the computer tells me there is left, it's over 680miles. Loving it!
Slower than previous model by at least 1 second to 60. The hybrid only is a problem This was previously a good option for a rear access handicap vehicle. They haven't figured out how to do it with the hybrid power train. The V6 should still be available.
my son purchased a seinna hybrid 22, received it in May. just informed me that it wont start, toyota can’t figure out why this occurred. have you heard of this happening before with the seinna hybrid. he lives in the yukon.
De-activate the sensors for the sides and rear doors. In inclement weather, they tend to overwork and drain the battery. Disable them completely until Toyota comes up with a solution. Cheers!
It’s too bad it is not an all around hauler any more...the gas mileage is great but you sacrifice a lot for it. No trailering anything with it anymore. Brother has one that is 16 years old with 380,000kms with no problems. We have the Odyssey and it hauls eight people and their stuff no problem, pulls an 18’ boat no problem, loads full 4x8 sheets flat after removing the middle seat, and large items can be hauled with the middle seats forward and rears flat. Ours is 7 years old with 180,000kms no issues...
Toyota Highlander can’t be included into the list of choice of Minivan. It’s 3rd row seats are for kids or pet only, while Minivan 3rd row seats are for adult.
I like it and will be getting one, but... the 8 passenger XLE does not come with a roof rack. As well, there is no spare tire option in Canada. In the States, you can pay $75 and have your Sienna come with a spare tire. Why not in Canada? Zach, are you able to contact Toyota Canada and see if they will make it available? Thanks.
A dealer in Alberta had a XLE with spare, so must be possible. I placed an order for a XLE AWD and told the dealer I wanted the spare. That was mid December, and haven't heard anything yet so fingers crossed I can get it.
I spoke with Toyota Canada and they informed me that there is no spare tire in order to keep weight down and get better mileage. I don't buy that. That's just a cop out, because they have it in the States. They could also provide no excuse as to why there was no option for roof racks on the XLE.
According to Motor Trend the 2021 Sienna’s 0-60 time is 7.9 seconds vs the 2018 Sienna’s 7.1. So less than a second slower but significantly better fuel economy especially if you can get 44mpg like Edmunds did!
It is more SUV like because it's not as practical. Cannot remove second row and center console will not allow long slender items to be carried from front to back.
Technically the seats can be removed but not so conveniently. You just need to take out 4 bolts and unclip a wiring harness. Then the seats will come out.
I don't understand why they don't place the sliding door handles towards the back of the door. That would really make it look like an SUV and less like a minivan.
Because when you get into the driver seat you can open the door for your kids and go right to opening their door, to unbuckle them from their car seat. The locking mechanism and latch is also on the B pillar. The door it’s massive. Unless you’re in the NBA you would need to walk to the back of the door which defeats the biggest advantage of a minivan. The sliding doors
All these videos on the 2021sienna and no one uses the sport mode when needing acceleration. Use econ mode when regular driving and sport mode on freeway and highway.
The reason 300 pounds extra don't make much fuel economy difference is regenerative breaking. It's the same reason city economy (with a lot of start and stop) catches up with highway economy.
There is a video showing how to remove second row seats, disconnect battery, pry off some plastic plates , then 4 bolts per seat and a few plugs(air bags). 10 min. per seat if you have a socket wrench.
I think the reason why heated steering wheel is only in the 9 and 3 position is to encourage your hands to only be in those positions, as we are taught when driving the 9 and 3 is where your hands are to be.
Test drove two and it really does need a Prime version. I really like this van and how it handles, interior features, seat comfort...but that gas engine is very loud and buzzy. It really needs a bigger battery to get more assist from the electric motors to help that overworked gas engine.
If Toyota is struggling to make enough RAV4 Primes to meet demand I can’t see a Sienna Prime anytime soon. Logically they will move on to the Highlander Prime next as Toyota sells almost 3x more Highlanders than the Sienna.
Awesome video guys! Perfect for the camping tho! Love the way folding seats fold flat and easy to fold. Gas mileage is not bad could have gone better. I laughed when Zack ask you stick Andrea’s arm down to console.
According to professional reviewers this will do 0-60 mph in 8.4 seconds, thats the slowest i found among reputable sources. Tack on 0.5 sec and 0-100 kmh can be assumed to be 9 sec.

i always though 6 cylinders for city was preferrable for torque, but once cruising 4 cylinder is easier to maintain momentum?
@@MrCarpediem6 I agree but since this is assisted with a hybrid drivetrain 4 is enough IMO.

@@mnelson505 yeah the engine can be loud. I put it echo mode and it seemed to cut down on the noise. The sliding seats can give you an incredible amount of leg room.
The new sienna has plenty of power. I had mine fully loaded with people and didn't notice any issues. I'll take the fuel economy anyday.
Nice review hello from New Orleans Louisiana
Thank you!
I totally agree with you, XLE is the best value for money which covers the essentials.
IT ACTUALLY HAS A SMOOTHER RIDE THAN THE XSE.
“Buy the cheapest box on wheels” couldn’t agree more 😂
With the mark ups imposed by Toyota dealers, the Platinum edition is commonly listed at $65,000.
They are lying about an 8' long object. It can only fit in above the sits, not on the floor.
true
👍🏻 4x8 can still fit in back! I use my van to sleep in on long trips. Nice.
I agree with Zack. I do like the minivan though. Thanks for the review.
Glad you enjoyed the review, thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing!
which driving mode are you using? I found normal and sport mode much responsive than eco mode in my test drive
All the
European crap is always in the shop getting fixed. Our 18 sienna has been flawless. We will be getting this one once they
arrive in Ontario. Great review guys!!
Glad you liked the review! Yes, Toyota products are excellent, so reliable. Toyota has brand loyalty, consumers keep coming back to buy another.
MY 2008 CAMRY HYBRID HAD A DOUBLE GLASS WINDSHIELD SO YOU WOULDN'T HEAR THE TRANS OR ENGINE ,IT WAS SUPER QUIET UNLESS UNDER RAPID ACCELERATION.
Sienna is more space, better efficiency, and costs less than the highlander.
Seriously. Case closed as far as I'm concerned.
I agree with this comment HOWEVER have you seen resale value on those Highlanders? From a drive-and-trade-in standpoint the Highlander wins. But if buying to keep forever, yeah it’s always been the Sienna even before the hybrid.
How often do you have to replace the hybrid batteries
You can remove second row seats disconnect battery so airbag won’t inflate remove bolts underneath remove
The new Sienna is a beautiful & practical family van but I think most wives prefer SUV more Interesting review from husband & wife
Thank you very much, happy to hear you enjoyed it. :)
Wow 0 to 60 in over 11 seconds, most test say like 8 seconds whats up with that?
Not being able to remove the seats is 100% a deal breaker.
I live in a van, down by the river. I wish I had this van.
Good luck living with that second row non removable
I was surprised to learn that the new Sienna comes with ventilated rear brakes. Why is this? Do other minivans do? are they expecting big break loads? Being a hybrid I would expect most of the brake load to be done by the electric motors.
@2:27
Man: Put your hand in there
Woman: It's HUGE
They are talking about storage, you dirty minds 🙄
Don't forget "pull it out".
Great review! The Sienna doesn't look like a SUV...only the new Sedona has managed to do that.
Thanks for watching, glad you liked it.
I got Highlander Hybrid 2023 because we didn’t have Sienna hybrid in our area - hope they almost same
Great review. I test drove two and agree with everything you observed. I really like this van for its handling, seat comfort and overall interior styling except for the fact the 2nd row is not removable. That and the buzzy engine are the deal breaker for me. Very aggrevated because I really had high hopes for this van.
Thank you so much, glad you liked it. Looks like we all agree, it's comfortable and handles well but the engine is a little bit noisy.
Good review as usual. Question ,can a this model fit a six footer in third row? My son and his family of five, are looking for a bigger vehicle within 6 weeks. They currently have Acura MDX. Any Suggestions? Thanks for your comments. We are in USA.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. Yes, you can fit a six footer in the third row. It's not huge, but our son who is 6 feet was fine.
I would suggest a Hyundai Palisade if they are still considering SUVs, the third row is among the roomiest in the midsize, three row SUV class.
@@JDubbs07 such a nice suv!! But not hybrid
Does anyone misses the driver/front passenger/second row walkthrough? Of course there are a lot more storages and features this way.
Yes. That feature was really useful, particularly for those with toddlers and infants.
This is a design mistake. I have a Highlander and modified the console to get the pass through
@@MarcillaSmith that's great, should do your own youtube on it.
I able to get from the front to back of my 09 odyssey without dropping the center council so not sure why it couldn't be done in this sienna.
Should I get fwd or AWD for Canada snow weather?
Looks great but lost much of the utility. For example the center console block ability to store long item (10'?). I don't think you can stuff a 4x8 sheet of plywood without removing the middle seat. May be the next video?
Rear turn signal indicators and reverse lights are not LED.
Good job
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. :)
The Platinum trim level Sienna, the second row seats have let rests like a recliner.
Why is xse trim not out yet?
Wish you guys had driven the xse to let us know the differences…
Why do Zak say we are not supposed to get to the back between the front seats? If the vehicle is parked, that’s an excellent option in inclement weather.
Zack meant when someone is driving the car, another parent walks through to deal with the kids but the vehicle is still in motion.
580 mile range on one tank of gas. I’m in!
I've had my XSE AWD for a few weeks now. If I add the mileage Ive got on this tank so far to what the computer tells me there is left, it's over 680miles. Loving it!
Wow, I am undecided to either buy this one or the Honda Odyssey, this one looks more nice
please review jaguar f type SRV or V8 please
NO V6 BUT IT HAS 375 LBS OF TORQUE, I DROVE IT AND IT TAKES OFF LIKE HELL, THE ELECTRIC MOTORS HELP ALOT.
They may not look as cool as SUVs but minivans are the best in ride quality, space, efficiency and versatility
Yes, they certainly have their place especially with a larger family.
Sienna xse has sport tunned suspention and 20 inch wheels, to help handle better.
where is tool box or tools?
@2:26 glad it wasn't a popcorn bucket.
Slower than previous model by at least 1 second to 60.
The hybrid only is a problem
This was previously a good option for a rear access handicap vehicle. They haven't figured out how to do it with the hybrid power train. The V6 should still be available.
A LITTLE LESS POWER, BUT 36 MPG! I''LL SACRAFICE SOME POWER FOR THE MILEAGE.
my son purchased a seinna hybrid 22, received it in May. just informed me that it wont start, toyota can’t figure out why this occurred. have you heard of this happening before with the seinna hybrid. he
lives in the yukon.
I think this is the first video I have seen where andrea is not wearing sunglasses 😎
Thanks.
That will be great....to have a spare tire
A dealer in Alberta had a XLE with spare, so must be possible. I placed an order for a XLE AWD and told the dealer I wanted the spare. That was mid December, and haven't heard anything yet so fingers crossed I can get it.
I spoke with Toyota Canada and they informed me that there is no spare tire in order to keep weight down and get better mileage. I don't buy that. That's just a cop out, because they have it in the States. They could also provide no excuse as to why there was no option for roof racks on the XLE.
@@Snoopymk37 how come they have spare tire in LE Awd ....yes their reason doesn't fit....
I wish they had made the 3.5L V6 an option on this model.
According to Motor Trend the 2021 Sienna’s 0-60 time is 7.9 seconds vs the 2018 Sienna’s 7.1.
So less than a second slower but significantly better fuel economy especially if you can get 44mpg like Edmunds did!
This video is making me more interested in the minivan 😬😬
Terrific! Thanks for watching. :)
I like the increased ground clearance of the Highlander. It also does not feel so HUGE on the road like the Sienna.
Never had a reason to remove seats
If you want to camp in it, you'd want the room.
No bumpers: subject to damage to the front and back.
It is more SUV like because it's not as practical. Cannot remove second row and center console will not allow long slender items to be carried from front to back.
Agreed! Design errors
Technically the seats can be removed but not so conveniently. You just need to take out 4 bolts and unclip a wiring harness. Then the seats will come out.
@@ikelee Cool, thanks. Do you know if it's AWD-i with traction control or not?
@@MarcillaSmith yes. It’s called AWD-e now
How often do you carry long slender items? Why wouldn’t it fit down the center between the seats and on top of the center console ?
I don't understand why they don't place the sliding door handles towards the back of the door. That would really make it look like an SUV and less like a minivan.
Because when you get into the driver seat you can open the door for your kids and go right to opening their door, to unbuckle them from their car seat.
The locking mechanism and latch is also on the B pillar.
The door it’s massive. Unless you’re in the NBA you would need to walk to the back of the door which defeats the biggest advantage of a minivan. The sliding doors
You place something at the bottom of the centre console, it may roll over to the driver's side, and becomes a safety concern.
DON'T PUT YOUR BOWLING BALL OR A PUMPKIN THERE!
I would need that second row to be removable or fold into the floor. Off to Honda or Kia.
Nope, it's to save money.
When do u guys think Sienna Prime will roll out? Thanks.
Test drove two and it really does need a Prime version. I really like this van and how it handles, interior features, seat comfort...but that gas engine is very loud and buzzy. It really needs a bigger battery to get more assist from the electric motors to help that overworked gas engine.
No plans from Toyota as of yet.
If Toyota is struggling to make enough RAV4 Primes to meet demand I can’t see a Sienna Prime anytime soon. Logically they will move on to the Highlander Prime next as Toyota sells almost 3x more Highlanders than the Sienna.
My 2012 awd is hard on tires, anyone know if they are any better now?
Awesome video guys! Perfect for the camping tho! Love the way folding seats fold flat and easy to fold. Gas mileage is not bad could have gone better. I laughed when Zack ask you stick Andrea’s arm down to console.
Thanks for watching!
@@Motormouth... You are welcome! 👍🏻
Thank you so much, glad you liked it! :)
Camping? Flat seats? Are you talking about the Pacifica?
According to professional reviewers this will do 0-60 mph in 8.4 seconds, thats the slowest i found among reputable sources. Tack on 0.5 sec and 0-100 kmh can be assumed to be 9 sec.
They were going up hill and in the rain, and the tires slipped at launch. They mentioned from the start it was a hill test.
@@JDubbs07 wasnt that amazing? First ever 0-100 test going up the random hill in the rain. Very useful, not.
