Just bought a DJI Avata 2. Liking it a lot so far. Great if you live on a farm. I just have one question for you and/or the comment section. How do you fly so high AND so far? I can barely clear my trees and can only go half way across my yard. I have tried changing the height and distance in the settings, and it IS in normal mode. All the software is updated and such, full batteries on everything. What am I doing wrong?
@@--TimberWolf-- First of all, you need clear view without any obstacles whatsoever. For the height part, you need to send in an unlock request via the DJI FlySafe website.
The default alt limit above launch is 500m. What did you set your unlock request max altitude to? BTW, you don't need to climb so aggressively. It'll hold against quite strong winds. Just put the circle above the obstacle you're approaching, and it'll clear it just fine.
@@daemn42 2000m. I don't think battery last for much more anyway + there is no higher mountains where I want to fly. I was both worried over the wind but even more for losing reception, that's why I climbed.
Have you managed to unlock your Avata? Its pretty strait forward when you log in to Dji flysafe website. If the first request get rejected by DJI, just try again with another comment.
@@LEHL Unfortunately I couldn't. I tried several times and at different altitudes, but they always reject me. They ask me for a document from my country's air regulator stating that they accept me flying at such altitude.
@@emiliot8 be aware not to include any red areas in the map! Also specify that you only want altitude unlock. Not geo zone unlock. Don't choose to high altitude. (Not more than 120m above the highest top in the map).
Yes, you can check second hand market to get it cheaper. And remember to get it with 3 batteries. Because you will not go out and fly everyday, but when you are finally there you want to fly it more.
Good footage
Thanks 👍

You can do a tutorial on how to request the unlock on the DJI website?

Wow, i would have never guessed the avata 2 can go that far. Are you using the motion controller?
