Nice memories of your mum for sure, I was on PSN autumnal sales an seen a title only for a few cents..thought it said Frogger 3 but no it's Frogo 3 an it's a incredibly short simple game mostly there for the Platinum....not sure if I'll play it yet..did like the fact he was eating bananas instead of Fly folk at least though haha. Well played buddy.🕹🐸🍀
Looks a great conversion of the arcade game mate I was playing this at a retro arcade a while ago and this looks pretty faithful to the arcade I was playing 🙂👍
Looks very good for an unofficial port. The sideways jump seems very short which must be a killer as things speed up but aside from that very good. Have a great weekend Richard buddy.
Ah, that Frogger! Brings back memories! 😊 I remember enjoying a couple of other versions, like one from Sierra that was my favorite. Another I liked was Jumping Jack-a 3D take on Frogger that was a bit tricky to control, but I loved the visuals. I actually had your version too, but never got around to playing it because of those others. Looking forward to your future coverage on more versions! Cheers, mate! 👍👍
I bought this FROGGER 🐸 clone for my Commodore 64 from a finnish 🇫🇮 website this year's spring. The only sad thing is: I haven't tested it yet 😹. I mean, the year 2024 has been mostly busy and crazy 😹. Now, that i saw this video, i think, ROAD TOAD is the best FROGGER 🐸 clone, i have ever played on my Commodore 64 😹👍🕹️. And let's not forget CROAK! (PD) on the Amiga 500 😺👍🕹️.
Well that looks excellent to me, very pricey for such an early game wasn't it, I seem to remember Ultimate games like Jet PAC were only £5.99 You wouldn't have been disappointed with this though 👍
So on the Apple II version (which is an official Sega licence I believe), you can jump on the alligators so long as you don't jump on the head. Can you on this one? Also, were you avoiding the flies? They should give you a bonus..? I wondered if they do on this one. I think it looks a bit better on here than the Apple II though.
I wasn't avoiding the flies as such - they do give a bonus. I was just aiming for specific slots 😂 I've never tried the alligator thing (even back in the day) so I don't know whether you can. I'll try it out and let you know 😊
Why are the bottom row of cars driving backwards? Not a bad Frogger to be fair. Written by Andrew Challis I notice, who was quite prolific in the early days. He did the awful Crazy Kong on the VIC20, which is on Stuart Ashen's terrible old games book.

Sounds worth a punt mate, love it when you find a cheap n cheerful game that entertains you for a bit 😊

Cheers mate yeah it's decent, don't know exactly how accurate it is but it's fun anyway.

@@Tetlee cheers mate yeah I enjoy it. I will seek out the official port if I can.

Thanks Jeffrey, I'll look up Jumping Jack and the Sierra port too 😊
Huge fan of frogger, looks like a decent conversion.
Yes mate there's a reason will still play that game some 40 years later. Absolute classic.

Oooh I don't know Road Toad - I'll look that up! Hopefully you can get some time to test your games soon.

Yes mate it is good. Can't really comment on whether it was overpriced as I didn't really buy them then but Jet PAC for £5.99 sounds like a bargain

@@retrotaphaha you never tried jumping on the Alligator backs? You haven't lived 🐸 🐊
@Tetlee 😂
It would seem you cannot jump on the alligators

Haha didn't notice that. Yeah Andrew Challis did loads of games for Interceptor on the 64, I've played quite a few and they're mostly good fun
That looks like a pretty basic N64 game 😜
🤣🤣🤣
