I mean... i was really enjoying the song till they did that weird beatdrop. Then i found out that the song isn´t even new, they remaked a one that sounds the same but without that part... I was really excited for the comeback,, the girls look gorgeous, but the song is a big no for me :(

ya know.. that 2 songs in one thing (4:34), is not new in kpop, the label they are under (SM ent. not yg 8:54) does a lot of songs like this. one major example is i got a boy by snsd (aka: girls generation) they literally mashed 3 songs into one and made one of the most iconic songs in the whole kpop industry. (btw: next level is a bop)

The hulllulu companies are SM, YG, JYP AND HYBE NOW. HYBE labels became the biggest Korean entertainment agency in 2020 after it was listed but SM, YG AND JYP ARE STILL THE BIGGEST ACTS OF THE KOREAN INDUSTRY.

*Story and concept----Next Level” is a remake of the OST from the film “Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.” The lyrics are about the journey to a place called Kwangya to find the Black Mamba that interfered with the connection between aespa and æ aespa (aespa’s avatars) and caused the world to fall into chaos. aespa has a unique concept in which the group technically has eight members, four of which are avatars. Aespa’s concept stems from the bridge that links virtual and reality. Essentially, you have the actual members and their virtual counterparts supporting and assisting one another despite being in “separate realities.” There was this one interview where Karina had a conversation with her virtual self. That was mind-blowing! Aespa concept kicks off the revolutionary identity of reality and virtual self in the Kpop world*

Believe me or not but i think EXO MAMA are connected to AESPA just see the "tree of life" in ending of the song/video...
There is actually a theory going around that SM artists' concept are all connected and they are planning on creating there own SM universe where all of there artists are in there with storylines, something like the marvel universe, it is just a theory though.
In this song depicts Aespa’s journey to KWANGYA to defeat their enemy BLACK MAMBA. This universe also introduces SM Cultural Universe connecting all MVs and artists from SM. So far the story involves EXO , NCT , AESPA , Taemin , SuperM , Red Velvet and BoA.
According to theories the antagonists are red velvet , Taemin , Kai and BoA. Currently each release from SM connects each concept to make a story. So recommend you to watch Aespa ep. 1 Black Mamba and every involved artists MV so far.

It sounds strange the first time, but the second time I hear it, I'm addicted. I don't think this will be the main track of the upcoming album (because it's a remake) but it will explain more parts about aespa's goals and their worldview. SHINee's Sherlock started it tho.. Sherlock (Clue+Note) is literally 2 songs mixed together. Clue and Note are songs from their 4th mini album. After SHINee, mixing of 2 songs became a trend in SM. Most iconic example would be SNSD's I Got A Boy.

I searched up a long time ago what Kwangya/Gwangya(?) actually means and it’s supposed to mean wilderness or something that. The woo-yi-ooh sounds seems kinda appropriate to the overall concept.

This is a Sm tradition. If you listen to Snsd I got a boy, Red Velvet Zimzalabim and F (x) red light, the beat changes in them too. Also, Karina says "beat drop" there and we enter the world of avatars via Navis. Ae characters pop up there and the beat changes too. Then we come out as we go through Karina's eyes, and the song becomes old again. They say in the words that the black mamba is hallucinating them. It's about that.

i listened to this song multiple times and i just dont get the song at this point. the sound rhythm is all over the place and the placement sounds are just all over the place and ive been listening to it since the song came out. i love love love love love love the music video but the song sound rhythm is very disportionalized and all over the place. i wouldn't go back and listen to it and ive already listened to it multiple times and i don't mean to send any negative things about aespa. i still like their debut song more which is black mamba but the song is particular is not my cup of tea. if that makes any sense . i dont know if you guys feel the same way but i do. i will still continue to support them cuz they still have more to prove but overall this song it ain't it for me.
