Do you have to generate the depreciation entry every monht or the system does it automatically?

Hi @ericr3677 to answer your question, assuming you have set up depreciation on both the level of fixed assets and the depreciation books, a monthly routine can be run to automatically calculate and post the depreciation on your fixed assets.
