Hi Mike! our bikes are size M (54) and we have the 4 which is 42 cm long but there is still some space on the rear, we will probably get the 5 which is 49cm and we will try to squeeze it in. if you measure the inner length of your top tube you should be able to get the right size ✌🏼
For packing a tent you may need a slightly bigger handlebar bag but depending on the season you could fit a light sleeping bag in the seat bag.If you are riding in cold weather you will need more clothes and heavier sleeping bag. all these things would be hard to fit in such a light bikepacking setup. During the summer you will have for sure less clothes and more space for extra items.
Hi! Yes, that has been a quite tricky problem to address in the planning phase. After many emails and phone calls, we found out that it was possible to ship the bike bags from Reykjavik directly to Isafjordur airport. Is a very small domestic Airport so they were able to keep the bags there until we arrived. An alternative option is to get in touch with Cycling Westfjord based in Isafjordur, they can provide cardboard bike boxes that you can use to pack your bike for the flight. Hope this info it will be useful ✌
Everything looks great, but good luck with the group set. Im jealous about this trip!
Nice looking bags, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Good way of starting. !! Doing the welcome to the episode. but not too sure what he said right after that !!!
You can always turn the subtitle on 😉
Hi there- nice adventure:) What travel bags to transport the bike did you use ?
we used the scicon aerocomfort
Did you stay in hostels, or did you have another method to carry a tent, sleeping bag, etc?
Hi! we decided to travel a bit lighter and sleep in hotels
There is no wild camping in Iceland. You can pay to camp at certain locations but staying in hostels, hotels or farm stays are a better bet.
Ciao, nice set up, question: why do you use tyre so wide on gravel? Thanks a lot for this and future video
Hi Andrea! with that size we are sure that we can handle almost every kind of surface we can encounter!
Nice set up for bikepacking and video quality. What camera are you using? Was this recorded in September?
Thanks Albert! we did the this trip the last two weeks of august. We used for filming a Sony a7 iv
❤❤❤
Ciao, size of the bike? I'm looking to buy the Internode myself and can't decide if 4 or 5 liters. I have a Wilier Rave SL size M. Many thanks

Nice bags where or how would you pack a tent and sleeping bag in that setup or would you need another bag?

what would be really nice to know is where did the travel bags (for flying with the bicycles) go while you are riding 😅

@@RollingDreamersthanks for your reply. Ahhhh, ahhh, yeah, cardbox sounds like easier to solve than shipping a bikebag.
What about sleeping gear and tent, food, etc.?
we decided to travel lite so no camping ✌🏼
Ciao ma come avete attaccato le borse sulla forcella?
