Fun fact: Half Life games exist only when Lamarr exists. From HL1 Lamarr was alive and it died at the moment when HL2EP2 ended.
Am sure Lamar was in the mommy head crab and launched and now it was baby, you kill hes mother and then you notice in half life 2 when you enter clieners lab when he notices you, he goes roge, and he ends in the desert and then back to you

It wasn't blowing up. It carried a Xenium resonator to try to shut down and stop the Combine from creating a superportal ever again. So it carried a satellite.
