I just bought the Skaventide box and was intending to theme them as Clan Eshin. Sad to hear that they're not really a thing in 4th as far as rules are concerned 😭
With the claw lord, one big problem with “while this unit is damaged,” is he often won’t get hit without completely being taken off the board. Even with that 5+ ward, the fella has 5 health.
I’m guessing you guys haven’t played skaven in the last two edition? In 3rd and secomd edition the doomwheel moved 4d6 inches. In both editions there was an artefact known as the vial of the fulminator, which doubled the result of the roll for the movement characteristic of the doomwheel. Meaning you had a potential move of 48 inches. secondly, plague monks are currently one of the best units, especially in the virulent procession. Although I agree that their warscroll looks a lot worser then that of clanrats, being able to pile in 3 inches while not being in combat after the combat phase just so your opponent can’t charge mext turn is probably why plague monks are currently played instead of clanrats. Although if it would be me, i’d give the plague monks 2 attacks +1 on the charge. Reduce clanrats in point as well as reduce their attacks characteristic to 1 per model, and remove the autowound crit rule on the clanrats. (Just for lore reasons) Secondly You guys talked about like 4 units. Where exactly are the others? Especially weapon teams, The grey seer, clanrats, warplightning cannon, etc.
Definitely don't want clans Pestilens to go, that's our priest part of the Army, and right now Skaven is a great one faction option for learning all the phases, I don't want to end up like Blades of Khorne and never get to use wizards
If Pestilens were leaving, then they probably would have been completely removed in the great culling of Beasts/Sacrosanct/Bonesplitters. I imagine near the end of this edition, Eshin and Pestilens will get a glow up in a Skaven second wave. Slaves got similar treatment.
Correct to always hit that big red button. Not optimal, but kind of the entire fun of Skaven

New player here, it was great to hear your thoughts about the best-greatest faction yes yes!
Skaven are the most unique fantasy baddies it's hard to not love them.
Belting video! ❤

Yep. He's not as good as he was last edition.

Bro did you forget about the doom flayer?
Honestly yes. It does appear to be near-brokenly powerful!
