Excellent storytelling. I feel like I took a mini vacation, and Lynn Rudy's narration is beyond charming.

I grew up in this house as Laura Scott , my grandmother was the caretaker of the call house for many years.

i may have known your grandmother; was she there in the late 60s? My dad was the resident park ranger there; we lived on site so they were our only neighbors. as a small child (5-6), I went over most days to visit my "best friend", an older woman who cared for a Mr. Call. We tended to the garden and prepared lunch for Mr. Call, who I remember as a quite old man who nonetheless worked very hard as a rancher, tending sheep (as I recall)? I occasionally had lunch with them and remember specifically having abalone (because I thought it a very strange thing to eat) and she and I often made snickerdoodles! these are the things that stand out in the memory of a 6-yr-old!

Taking my grandchild to this State Park and wanted to have some background on the house and buildings. This video was a perfect introduction, and it will help to have him see it before we go.
