Honestly at first I didn't get the UD cyber palette but now I'm excited about it lol. The swatches at 8:31 are gorgeous, it inspires me to do a simple soft look with just a wash of one color all over the lid and if you want to be bold just add a graphic liner.
I love it as well! It's great for office appropriate makeup for me, not everyone wants (or can wear) super dark grungy colors on a daily basis at work.
I've seen a documentary thing about how they make the $8,000 adult activity dolls. It very much looks like that is what Pat is using. I've been trying to figure out what was off about those modles, for the longest time.
I just went back on the Pat McGrath IG. You're right! When they use that eye or lip, the lips and nose look like silicone, and though the eye blinks and even the iris dilates, it always moves in exactly the same sequence. They only ever use the eye or the lips close up, they never do the skin or whole face or show anything else. It's definitely a robot!
Just saw Chinese influencers post swatches and looks for the Naked cyber pallet and it’s stunning! The many shades are actually orange/peach and none of them swatch or go on the eye like what they are in the pan. I think this one is really going to surprise people
The ariana grande collection seems more like a merchandise line than its own brand - not a criticism. I'm curious to see the packaging more than anything
I saw a 17 year old wearing JNCO’s last weekend. Makes me sad I got rid of all my late 90’s raver gear - not that I’d wear it, but I’d sell it to Buffalo Exchange. I want that Urban Decay pallet.
That cool toned huda palette looks gorgeous 😍 I kinda hate that every cool toned palette is either like the ND where is just black and grey or like the Huda one where is mauve. I want a cooled toned palette that has both. I always say this but I want Soft Glam in cooled tones.
The PMG wand is exactly the same thing as NYX Glitter Primer, just with an extreme price tag. I swatched her special shades side by side over the wand and the glitter primer and they turned out the exact same.

As a "geriatric millennial" hearing REM makes me think of the band!!! How does r.e.m. sleep go with Ariana anyways? I want to play with slimelight, have to admit, but I also don't use many cream products, so realistically it would probably be a waste.
I wouldn't mind taking 21 years off my body though, I mean I must admit 2000/2001 were great years, I was 20/21, my mom was still alive, life was nice, so for nostalgia alone UD got a vote on that one.

Also, plant makeup trend this year: Flower Punk by Kaleidos, Botanic Panic by MAC, Desert Bouquet by Morphe, Plant Gay by Trixie….and they all have similar color stories as well. I’ve been really liking the colors in these palettes - lots of green and pink - my personal fav color combinations!

I would have liked to see the interesting shades of the UD palette as singles. The matte shades don’t match the shimmers and 2 of the shimmers look boring but the rest would be nice as extra shadow added to your collection
I will give credit for Urban Decay for the Cyber palette. First thing in a long time from them, that I am interested to see in store and maybe buy. Also big fan of the Colourpop Tinkerbell release, the attention to detail in the packaging of the stuff is sooo well done! 😍 The fail of the week definitely goes to the Too Face holiday palette. I honestly thought they were re-releasing their OG Gingerbread palette! 😂😂

Makeup artist Alexandra Anele did many of Pat McGrath’s campaigns and even has a RUclips video about how she did one of the PMG looks. Hopefully she hasn’t been replaced by a robot but at least there is a record of a the origin story ;)
This is what I understood as well. From what Alexandra said in her ranking of PMG palettes video, she was involved at least up to the bronze seduction palette. I don’t know about now but I had always thought it was a human model with heavy filters and carefully designed lighting. The images are beautiful but I find them difficult to look at when considering the palettes as a consumer.

The Cocoa Pebbles highlighter is really great if you like metallic see me from space highlighters lol

People dont seem to get that arianas makeup line is based on her music and overall aesthetic. She choose R.E.M as the title because it’s her favorite song. And it has nothing to do with rapid eye movement. The song is about her dreaming about the person she loves and that she doesn’t want to wake up. That’s it, the cloud symbol is basically her trademark now she’s known for loving dreamy things like the moon, stars, clouds, ect. And the title for her products are synonymous to her music.

At least with Fenty, I believed Rihanna's mission statement to bring shades to every skin color. Isn't it enough to be gorgeous and insanely talented? Why do these artists have to be so cash grabby?

The fact there's no international release date or "email me about" it on the Mac website for the Tempting Fates collection... this is the first palette I have really wanted in like a year or two let us know the release dateeee.
I bought the cherry coke palette for my mom because she loves cherries and cola. The packaging is way more lightweight that TF; I felt like I could bend it. The shades weren't very vivid, but I'll have to see if she likes them.
The packaging on the Colourpop Disney Princess shadows are pretty in line with a lot of the other Disney Princess merchandise right now. Wouldn’t be surprised if Disney gave them guidelines as to what they could do.
Evidently, I’m REM = Michael Stipe years old, lol. Which means I’m also the age to have indulged in Fruity Pebbles while watching Saturday morning cartoons. (like the Flintstones and Care Bears!) I cannot express to you how much I loved this ritual. I was only allowed sugary cereals once a week. We would get the big variety bag with the individual serving boxes. I would always go for fruity stuff and my brother would go for the chocolate stuff. Pebbles were DELICIOUS and left the BEST TASTING MILK when you were done. They were basically flavored Rice Krispies, not flakes. If that body butter smells true to the cereal, I WANT IT.
Celebrities capitalising on markets that aren't their skill or talent will forever be weird. You can sing so be a singer, save the brand creation for the makeup artist and product developers who have the true skill, vision and talent for it! Every time influencers and celebrity opinions are favoured over professionals my mind is blown. The only exception is using your celebrity power for good and that is Fenty forcing the beauty industry to be inclusive.
The new Pat McGrath pallet swatches and wears exactly as marketed…worth every penny, tbh I stoped paying for any other brands and products for eyeshadow when I found the motherships..so buying her brand cuts me down on spending…i just sit back wait for her release and some I don’t care for..I spend zero most of the time…I would have quality over quantity…I don’t care if it’s on a doll or a human it’s the shadow that she represents…it’s a shame it’s super expensive where you guys live…the new pen also is worth it..👋🏻👊🏻✌🏻

Just looking at the naked palette I thought it was awful but seeing the swatches, I miiight pick it up. I’m pale as paper so the shades would work but I agree they should have made it more inclusive and could have done so while keeping with the theme they went with

I got the Chameleon palette and like it. The bright shades are beautiful and the darker shades provide a nice level of depth.

I bought the cherry coke palette for my mom because she loves cherries and cola. The packaging is way more lightweight that TF; I felt like I could bend it. The shades weren't very vivid, but I'll have to see if she likes them.
The packaging on the Colourpop Disney Princess shadows are pretty in line with a lot of the other Disney Princess merchandise right now. Wouldn’t be surprised if Disney gave them guidelines as to what they could do.

I cannot express to you how much I loved this ritual. I was only allowed sugary cereals once a week. We would get the big variety bag with the individual serving boxes. I would always go for fruity stuff and my brother would go for the chocolate stuff. Pebbles were DELICIOUS and left the BEST TASTING MILK when you were done. They were basically flavored Rice Krispies, not flakes. If that body butter smells true to the cereal, I WANT IT.
Celebrities capitalising on markets that aren't their skill or talent will forever be weird. You can sing so be a singer, save the brand creation for the makeup artist and product developers who have the true skill, vision and talent for it!

The new Pat McGrath pallet swatches and wears exactly as marketed…worth every penny, tbh I stoped paying for any other brands and products for eyeshadow when I found the motherships..so buying her brand cuts me down on spending…i just sit back wait for her release and some I don’t care for..I spend zero most of the time…I would have quality over quantity…I don’t care if it’s on a doll or a human it’s the shadow that she represents…it’s a shame it’s super expensive where you guys live…the new pen also is worth it..👋🏻👊🏻✌🏻
