I agree with the guy above. Don't go back to stock. Finish the tuning. Just tuning a carburetor takes me at least 4 times of changing jets till I get it right. (Sounds like scooter it being starved of fuel at open throttle). God bless. You're a newby. Be patient. Watch: Rolling wrench, Scooter swap shop, Burnout Bobby and many others on RUclips.
Tip #1 You guys should get Bluetooth helmets 🪖 or helmets w/ Sena or Cardo comms systems installed, so you can communicate with each other the fun easy way w/out pulling up to the side of each other to talk.
Now your channel pops up at the top of my feed lol. After listening, yeah it’s tough to get all of the tuning just right, the CDI will allow you to reach higher RPMs but it won’t gift you free speed on flats. What’s your jet set up in the carb? Also have you replaced the variator with sliders? What gram are they? Rider size is a decent factor in weight to use for sliders. Also if you are needing to get the stock stuff back on, partzilla is your friend, you can buy all of the tubes individually and any other parts for that matter
My jets are the ones that come with the TVI intake which is 78 for the main jet and 38 for the idle jet. I haven’t touched my variator yet so that’s still stock. I actually found out about partzilla looking for those tubes lol I know it’s gonna suck putting those back together
@@gizzabem yeah won’t be fun, but if you decide to keep your current set up, I’d go with a 38/80. Might be running a bit lean. For top end speed though your biggest gains really are a variator with proper Dr pulley sliders weights. Id just suggest 16x13 5g’s sliders. Get a performance variator like polini or NCY. CVT is your biggest gain in top end. Feel free to reach out if you get stuck on anything
I got the same ruck, an year. Did a lot of the same mods as you. The stage 1 kit from the Ruck Shop gave me the most bang for buck. I ended up putting the stock exhaust back on. Hated the drone of the aftermarket one. Adding a Forsa shock today. Defiantly going to try that wind screen, maybe a light tint first. The bulbs Wilcer uses are a game changer at night.
Two riders: you were doing it right mostly, front rider should be on the right side of the lane, back rider should be on the left side of the lane. That way you look like a pair of car headlights for oncoming traffic.

Where did you get the windscreen ?
Can't find anything like that here in Canada.
Amazon! I have link in the description on my video review of the Ruckus
