at first i wasn't a fan of this one but after listening a few times its one of my favorites. funny how that works
Inabakumori songs are like that for me, at first they don't stand out that much but after repeated listening I've grown to enjoy and love them more than other songs. Not to mention the visuals are both simplistic yet very eye-catching.
The reason why Inabakumori wrote this song is because back when he was young he had a floating balloon. But when he got to play with it, he lost his grip and balloon was sent flying to the sky. And the balloon kept flying higher and higher until it cannot be seen again. Out of sadness Inabakumori believed the balloon has matured and is able to explore the skies above.

個人的に稲葉曇さんってリズム隊のつくり方めちゃ上手いと思うな。土台の一音一音がクセになる音で、その上により詳細な世界観を描写するメロディが乗っているから一気に引き込まれる。
インタビュー記事漁ったら吹部でパーカス担当だったようで…それが原点の一つになっているのかな。
なんか、リズムの抜くタイミング？が独特というか個性的というか。だからどの曲もすごい気持ちいい。リズミカルになるほど逆に音が太って平坦に聴こえることがあるけど、稲葉曇はそれが無い。
自分は理論というものに詳しくなく己の経験と感性で音楽を聴いているので見当違いなことを申していたら申し訳ないのですが、ベースの動き…フレーズに高低をつけることで抜け感を作っているのかなぁと思いました。一瞬の内に高い音が目立つことでメリハリを付けているというか…
曲の時間が経つにつれてリズム隊が変容、進化？していくのも飽きさせない理由のひとつなのかもしれませんね。

I don't speak Japanese so I don't know the extent to how different the literal translations are, but the translation is official and the poetic intent is likely preserved better in the original translation. With some understanding of Japanese idioms the translation is just fine
