He is being open and honest about the music industry back then, very few artists tell the truth. For that one reason alone Lem should be admired and remembered… 🖤
He was real old school grounded pro rock performer,he saw the shallow fake image makers early on and worked at music like a tradesman in any job does, fame held no value,he gave his all honestly and his fans felt that real sincerity,he lived in an apartment when he could have bought a huge mansion because flash wasn't him,few can stay that unaffected by fame and that charm had fans totally devoted to him,he had tons of offers to sponsor items and he just said no unless he believed in the item like the guitars he had a hand in building to his specs ,he remained who he was and that takes great charicter
MOTÖRHEAD WILL ALWAYS BE THE BIGGEST BAND EVER IN THE WORLD AND NEVER BE FORGOTEN AND NEVER DIE.!!!!!! I HAVE LOVED MOTEARHED ABOUT 6 YEAR,S AND HAVE ALL THER ALBUMS AND CAN NEVER STOP LISEN TO MOTERHEAD FOR EVER IN MY LIFE.!!!!!!!
Great great interview!! Thanks a lot for the upload!! And for my part, the quality is 100% as it should be! Old and gritty, you get the feel of the old times as it was, not all this new stuff that hurts your eyes with the laser-perfect pixel crap.
1993...when MTV was still about music! A magical year...the year I graduated high school, and I wasn't even into Motorhead yet. I didn't get into Motorhead until Sacrifice in 1995.
Missed all the tv from a couple decades..just really livin....so..its great to see Lemmy's good humor with this awesome lady rock interviewer This Vanessa holds her own and gives us girls a good name...instead of soooo many of the ....ahem...whooarrsss...
you know i never heard of motorhead until the year 2000 & that was thanks to WWF at the time & Triple H new entrance music, boy did I live a sheltered life
MTV need to go back to it's roots, i'm baffled that it still excists. There's so many good rock n roll music made the last 10+ years, they missed the boat. They lost touch with music a looong time ago and actually not worthy to spend time talking about it tho. But i'm also down with watching KEXP live performances (with interviews) on RUclips or channels that do the interviews and stuff...
Skew Siskin. BRILLIANT hard rock band. The Motorhead song they covered and kicked into sixth gear was "Boogeyman". Find it here now, thank me for eternity. Nina, Jim and crew posted it like an atomic bomb. Absolutely shredded it.
5:28 If nobody was taking any risks how did a band like Cathedral end up with a million+ deal with Columbia records in 1993? How did bands like Primus and Tool get on TV?
All the record companies radio stations etc want to promote is easy listening, pop or rap and hip hop and if you actually listen too it that music has more sexually suggestive and depressing lyrics than rock music. Rock music tells you how it is on the other side of the track and not politically correct. But what do a bunch of suits behind a desk know about music. What do most people listen too heavy rock. Besides most rock music that stands the test of time.
Lemmy smoking in the art gallery. Cracking jokes ...mtv was cool back in the day ..I miss Bevis n butthead...found alot of good bands off that show

He was such a great man, in many ways. Thank you Lemmy, you are already missed... :(
We love and miss you Lem, Motörhead for life. Also RIP, Philthy and Eddie

Bastards is awesome and remains my favorite motorhead record..
I've got it on CD, but a guy once told me it is no longer in print. Don't know how true that is.
Sacrifice is great. It's really hard. Could be the most metal album they did. Not sure
someone please do a compilation of the scenes where lemmy tells vanessa "No, it's bassstards!" :D
OH! Got the hotts for Vanessa back then btw..

That was cooooool 🤩🎸🎼🍺🌺😊
I often wonder what kind of dead animal Mickey had glued to his head for 25 years
Giant chicken
Drowned rat 🐀
bleached squirrel tails
Raccum
I bet she loved Mikkey's classy Get A Job shirt! LOL!!!!
Lem keeps messing with camera man. Jajajaja
Vanessa was diabolical man

For all the smoking and drinking Lemmy did his teeth were always perfect. I suppose that's how it is when you're a God. RIP Lemmy
Great dental work. Obviously you haven't seen old footage.

There she is. The backstage plug socket
She is a slightly irritating barrrrstarrrrrrd.... Silly basssssssstud!
Lemmy wants the gal',in those years,i was 19,i hated Mickey,i think his place IS in a walt-disney Park.
She really was terrible...
What a slow woman.
Oh, she's fast enough. She just has a job to do for the camera that is so rigid it makes her look thick headed. But she's not, I can assure you.
Very cute though
doesnt last long the "DEAL" and the new record label...
