It's Tropical Storm Tuesday and I am scheduled off but heading into the dealership just to pick up the Chevrolet Blazer I sold last Saturday. We will also talk about the Chevrolet Sonic lease payment from the other day. We'll go over the monthly cost, how we got to that price, and compare it to a Chevrolet Trax lease. If you want to skip right to the Sonic lease discussion go to 7:45.
What did you think of my Green Grass floor mats in the Chevrolet Bolt EV??
These lease payments were based on programs at the filming of this video. Programs and incentives change month to month.

The wipers got me
hello friends
How ironic is it that its raining in this video and while im watching this video it is raining outside. It is over a year later now when I'm watching it.
Stranger things have happened…did you ever watch the X-files?? Scully & Moulder….😂
Do you also never ask for a BigMac when at Mc Donald’s, but ask for the double meat burger with special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles onions on a sesame seeded bun? 😂
Great content. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I love how well you do your job. You not only know vehicles inside and out but you understand the financing/leasing side as well. AND you can logically explain it to a customer. You are a rare breed Dave B! :)
Thanks Jason 🙏
green grass floor mats!! That's an interesting use of Astroturf
😎
Green, Green ,Grass, Blue, blue sky, you better throw a party on the day that I die…
DAVE!!!!!! Great detailed videos. You are and have always been a true and honest gentleman. Glad you are doing well.
Yooooo! What's up brother... Hope all is well!
@@DaveBsellsChevy All is well Thank God! When you have a spare moment let’s catch up.
Hey Dave, I have been in this business for 25 years now, I come across this issue all the time! I will say you did a great job explaining how the leases work!
Thanks Robert! What brands do you sell?
I want sell used pickup trucks when I get older
Hey Dave! I left a comment on one of your vids a week or so ago and I expressed my concern about stretched ears hurting my chances of getting a job at a dealership and you gave me some confidence to go in and crush my interviews. My first interview was at Nissan, and they seemed very dismissive. The manager asked me only a couple questions and didn’t seem to care to listen to me talk so I left feeling pretty discouraged. My next interview was at Honda, they were super friendly and truly blown away with me. My gauges do have to come out due to company policy, but they said I’m the only person they know of who has ever been offered a job with stretched ears. They were really impressed with how much I already knew about the business and that I already knew the lingo, all thanks to you! Thanks so much for everything. I love your videos and can’t wait to start applying the knowledge you’ve taught me to kill it in car sales! THANK YOU!
Hey John! Thanks for sharing! This is so awesome to hear. I am so glad my content has helped you. If you watch my Welcome video on my page that was the exact reason I wanted to start this channel. I wish you the best in this new venture for you and if you ever have any questions just reach out.
Exactly on Starbucks. Why do they call a small damned grande?
and why do they have a size called "tall" but it's one of the shortest cups, lol
Dave B sells Chevy Orwellian word games.
My sister was gonna lease a sonic cause she wanted a smaller car but she ended up getting rate on an LT equinox for less money a month and she’s gonna buy the car at the end of the lease
Yup, more expensive car with a better lease program!
I just completed My work and first thing I see is your Upload...What a timing... Good one bro👌🏻
lol, nice!
Dave B sells Chevy if you get any old school chevy impala please review it...its one of my fav🤩
360° of finance briefings of Chevy Sonic is Telltale sign of Professionalism, vry Wonderful explaining, makes alot of sense4buyers
Thanks Saqib
Dude, what is with the R's today?
whats the difference between a sonic and a spark?
The Spark is the smaller and less expensive vehicle. The Sonic would be the next model up in the Chevrolet line up.
@@DaveBsellsChevy oh ok. here in canada we only get the spark brand new with the starting price being $10.3k
Love your videos!! Always good uploads to watch.
Thanks Brian 👍
5:31 Little Nicky Scarfo? ...oh no wait...thats Friedman...never mind heh heh heh
Very informative video, never thought a more expensive vehicle can have a cheaper lease cost with the same term and allowed mileage.
Thanks for watching! Glad my video was helpful
They have different size names at Dairy Queen too
Green Grass Floor mats hahahah I got a good laugh. love your vids Buddy.
Thanks for watching!
I like the Chevy Suburban/Tahoe, Equinox, Silverado, Colorado, Old Chevy Blazers, Chevy S10,Old Chevy Trailblazer, Chevy Vans, Chevy Astro
Really enjoy your videos!
Thanks! I enjoy creating them😀
That Blazer is gorgeous the blacked-out emblems and tires really set off the gray.
Right on! Love the RS model!!
Wow 425/mo is like great deal on a low end luxury car. That makes no sense on a Sonic.
Now that's a cool set if floor Matt's and i use rain-x fro my tryck and alsi rain-x washer fluid too
I should get the washer fluid.. I haven't tried that yet
Yes sir it works really good
I love the green grass floor mats. Adds a nice touch to the car
Yea, it goes well in a "green" car
You got three cup sizes at Starbucks a Tall, Grande and Venti
Yea and the best part is the tall is actually the shortest cup..lol
Awesome floor mats!!!
👍👍
You should never put money down on a lease IMO. Makes no sense. A lease is a rental, don't put money down on a rental unless your intent is to buy the car after the lease has ended. Dave, let me know what your views are.
I agree. The most I recommend is the states taxes and fees. Some clients will put more down to keep their payment at comfortable level for them.
Very nice explanation of the lease. I love sedans and I hate to see fewer of them offered. GREAT video!
Thanks David 👍
I am not a big fan of sedans but yes it is sad as sedans especially the impala have been around for years. It would be like discontinuing the F150
Paint some yardage lines on the grass mats.
lol!
Super love the floor mats...wouldn't mind a video tutorial. Honestly I've never thought about making my own!
It was super simple. I bought 3 feet of turf (12 feet wide) from Home depot and then just traced the existing floor mats with a razor. I cut them a little bigger than the stock mats to cover more area.... Once I finished I thought I take the seats out and do the whole interior..lol.
I have the same issue with Starbucks cup sizes. I also just say largest size you have.
👍
👍 pretty creative with those floor mats.
Haha, thanks. I thought about taking out the seats and doing the whole car just for fun.
Dave B sells Chevy Not a bad idea. I could picture that lol.
Can you do a video on him much a Chevy trailboss with the 6.2L V8 lease is vs. buying it.
I'll see if I can fit it in
I remember the earlier videos where you’d show up with a small Dunkin’ cup. Or maybe I just remember wrong. Anyway- nice vid.
That I did...you remembered correctly! i still go to dunkin every now and then.. i used to go everyday but now I limit my coffee intake to three or four days a week
it should be $25 a month for a Sonic!!!!
We'd definitely sell more of them
that's the blue Bolt EV I liked the last time I watched a video.
Love the Blue!
The only reason I'd ever set foot in a Starbucks is to use their bathroom. Also, I'd be afraid to have the grass mats if you have a dog. I'd be afraid he would cut a huge knuckler right on the front mat!
Haha, thankfully we don't have a dog at this time
I completely understand the reasoning behind a $425 lease payment, even with a $4,000 buyback, but you'd have to be crazy to pay that much a month for a Sonic. By the way, I just returned a leased 2017 Toyota Corolla and buyback cost was $12,000. the list was $21,000 and a much better car than a Sonic and my lease payment was much less
Actually that's a great question? I'm not sure how much the buyback is at the end of the lease.. I'll have to check tomorrow.
When cars have lousy resale values, lease payments will be high.
With those floor mats you could play a round of golf in your car now...
haha, I'll have to get a putter
Is the dealership out of power like most of the rest of the state? This storm really messed things up around here. I haven’t had power in almost 2 days now.
No, we lucked out and never lost power... i didn't lose power at home either.
Starbucks....hope you got a good interest rate..
lol, the regular coffee isn't that bad. same price as large at DD
How many miles on your Bolt? I have 12, 500...on mine. Two years old Aug 1. Never a problem.
We are a little over 9,000 at the moment... it will be a year for us end of September
Like years ago. Customer had a car policy with us. Bought a new Ford Probe for girlfriend. Registered to him. Tried to explain to the guy I could add it to his current policy, he pays for the remainder of the six months and he gets multi car discount.
Nope. I want a separate policy. No problem. I made more commission Cost him more in the long run. He never did get it. He was the joke of the office. And the probe blew up after warranty but before paid off. Sucks to be that dumb. But the customer is always right.
Yea, we have some stories like that as well. Sometime you just have to give in and do what the client wants even if it doesn't make sense to you.
I would buy the sonic if I had 20,837 in the bank but too bad nothing would be nice a new car idk I've seen a used chevy cruze going for $12,566 used at some dealerships in my area which has about 30,000 miles and its 2017.
Yes, I think it is a nice reliable car for the money.
LMBO!! about the Starbucks. I feel the same way. Love the videos
lol, really... large is LARGE, haha
Large is Venti lol
Why do you hit park and then power? Doesn't it just do that on its own when you power off?
Not sure, I never tried that. I'll have to see if it does
It’s not Worth leasing it that type of vehicle. Not even a camero v8 convertible . I had a friend trying to do that . Rotolo Chevy salesmen told me he’s never seen a lease on a camero . Is that true ? The lease amount was something like 884. A month for 48 months I think it was . Crazy
Yes, the Camaro leases aren't the best either. We do them every now and then but it is usually the 4-cylinder or 6-cylinder LT models
I would go with the best less option to save the money . That money in pocket .
Makes good sense
Dave, do you think pretty soon there will just be SUVS on the road since a lot of companies are discontinuing the smaller vehicles?
It seems to be headed that way... probably all crossover style vehicles.. built like cars but have versatility of a suv
What a waste. 425 a month for a cheap vehicle with low miles. Not a chance. Im in a lease right now, never again. I prefer to buy and not throw my money away. Buy and make your money work for you. Lesson learned.
All leases aren't bad. It all depends on the programs. In this case though it is not worth it.
Everyone’s situation is different but leasing works great for me. Way more pros than cons.
@@DaveBsellsChevy Not all leases are bad, but from a financial standpoint, renting a vehicle builds no equity and only throws hard earned money out the window with nothing to show for at the end of the lease period. By the way, love your videos!
Thanks!
Jeffrey Thomas That’s true if u plan on keeping a car for a long time after it’s paid off. But for the type of person who finances a car for 6-7 years then wants something else after 2-3 years, then leasing would be better for them. Some people don’t mind a car payment opposed to repair bills.
Hope your dog doesn't pee on the floor mats
lol
Do you get paid salary or commission
I think he’s mentioned it’s both before.
Yea, it's salary, commission, and multiple bonus structures
Thanks for the great explanation on the lease. I wish more dealership sales people did this up front.
You got it Frank!
