    Hi Amber,
    This is a definate for me to learn, never heard it before, lovely song.
    Pray you're having a wonderful Easter weekend.
    I just sold my Taylor 114ce to a friend,now that I play the 12 string it would be a sin to let the Taylor waste away in the bag😢.
    Tammy is also a music teacher and a Worship Team leader in a church in Richards Bay.
    Take care my Sis and be safe. Love and blessings😅🤗🤗🇿🇦🇿🇦

      Hi Schalk 😊 happy Easter to you and your family too 🙏 I hope God blesses you during this holy time. I am thankfully with my family now at Easter (back in the cape for some much needed rest and connection with my family). I think you have done a nice thing to give your Taylor to a friend who will play it 🙌 who is Tammy? She sounds awesome 😄🎵🎸

      @@thestellarguitarist Tammy and her husband Barry were in the Baptist church here in Phalaborwa, we played in the worship team together here although they are much younger than me, they taught me so much about playing guitar. They have moved to Richards Bay but I still stay in contact with them, very good friends of mine and very blwssed musicians.
      Pray you have an awesome time back home and find time to relax in CT. Love and blessings.🤗🤗

    A year ago, I learned the caged system from you. Been playing all my life but I was blocked and locked at the bottom half of the neck. I now play the whole neck, find the root notes, find the keys without asking. My solos are much more natural, no more rote memorization. I have been waiting for you my whole life. (I am 58.)Thank you so much for all that you do.

    Don't know the song but it was definitely interesting . I have some questions. What is the most popular capo position? The other one is there anything else that sounds like a f - over d. I don't really ever use my thumb.

    • @thestellarguitarist
      @thestellarguitarist  9 месяцев назад +1

      Glad you enjoyed the tutorial! Do you mean which fret is the most popular to put your capo in? The best position for the capo is right behind the fret - this results in no string buzzing 🙌 well there are other chord voicings that could sound like an F/D. I never use my thumb over the neck either, so I tend to make use of barre chords rather, or just substitute a chord wherever I need to. Music is amazing like that!

    My guitar is currently being set up by a friend.
    Will this song work without a capo playing the same notes?
    I’m off to buy another guitar tomorrow and was thinking a 3/4.
    I’ll use this song to try out guitars.
    Do you have any suggestions of makes??

    • @thestellarguitarist
      @thestellarguitarist  9 месяцев назад +1

      So sorry for the late reply 🙈 I’ve been traveling! Yes this song will work without capo, but it will be in a different key from the original so you will not be able to play along with the original song or my play along either. It will sound out of tune. I am an enormous fan of Taylor guitars. The GS mini mahogany is incredible. 🙌🎵 I have one and LOVE the warmth and sound. It also has a BIG sound for such a small guitar. Hope you got something you love!

    Hi again. I'm sorry to bug you but I have to comment on this song. I have never heard this song before. I am from America and maybe thats why but I couldn't help but notice a special "Joy" or something in your voice on this song. I enjoyed your singing more on this song than any before. Does this song mean something to you?

    • @thestellarguitarist
      @thestellarguitarist  9 месяцев назад

      Thank you so much, what a lovely comment! It makes me so happy to hear that my play along brings across the joy I feel when making music. I got excited about this song I think because so many of my students have requested to learn it, so it’s been in the forefront of my practice and playing sessions. It’s at its ‘peak’ in my mind I guess 😅 it doesn’t mean anything particularly special to me, I think I just love this folky style of music and it’s a fun one to sing ☺️🎵
