If God can put you back together from dirt He can put you back together from ashes. Saul was cremated. What about people who were just evaporated in 911? Don't tell me God would deny them heaven because no physical evidence of their body still exists. Don't put limits on God. My God is an awesome God. Is yours?

That is an absolutely spot on great answer! I will also add to what you said by pointing to the early Christian brothers and sisters who were BURNED TO DEATH by Nero. As God created man from DUST, (Genesis 2:7) he can put us back together from cremation's ashes. Amen! :)

Well I look at this.When I die, I don't want people seeing me laid out in a casket.Plus caskets are too heavy and can easily dislocate somebody's shoulder. I'd rather have people remember of me who I was. I figure this.When it's time for me to go.Put my ashes in the sound hole of my acoustic guitar and put me and the guitar back in the case.Then bury me in peace.It will show I left this world playing the instrument I love the most.

This goes back a little ways so if this person sees this please place a post here as I would like to give her a personal testimony. So many people want to be so legalistic when there is a lot more to it. The woman Jesus spoke to had been married many times. AND she was a Samaritan as well. God says VERY clearly that HE wants mercy rather than sacrifice.

@The Annorator No. The only divorce that is recognized by God, is one that is justified if a spouse is being abused, cheated on, and/or being treated horribly (once again, abused). It's the only grounds for divorce, by God's Grace.

I wish I knew if cremation was okay with God because it sure is less expensive than a burial which is $10,000 currently and that's with NO casket and no embalming because I desire a natural burial. Cremation seems nice because it's affordable and you can bury the cremains wherever you want. Should I decide on cremation, I want mine buried in the park by my childhood home. But then I worry about what God demands. Ugh! I hate not having clear cut instructions from our Creator!

I would also say that in the Torah (first 5 books) there is a sense of justice and fairness to treat everyone for instance the Sabbath applied to your wife, children, servants, and even animals. The laws for divorce in the Mosaic law actually protect women. I think that I can be inferred that an abusive relationship is not how you should treat your neighbor, animal and especially not your wife. Men are not above judgement and justice.

No disrepect to anyone who wants to be creamated the reason so it less expensive than a tradition funeral then so be it if this is what you want and your family things have sure changed since the days of my grandpa and grandmother and through the 56 years since i was born in 65 Things have really taken a turn since covid and the president took office this subject is talked about more and more questioned the bible and what it saids something that people should have been learning all the time Now i was not in control of people who lost there lives in fires and wars i can not speak for those people all i can say i am deeply seriously sorry from my heart Now Back to the subject as long as you have a clear understanding between you and God in Heaven and no doubts what so ever about it and quit listing to every preacher coming along and get the word from the God himself and then you know this is all it counts coz that is what you will be judge on did you accept and follow Jesus Christ and full filled his will in your life in your Heart This is all that counts in the end Now me we have never had a known cremation in our family in the 56 yrs of my life and i have watch a lot of family members die over the years Me personally i would never do it in the first plce to me in my heart and the way God has reveal himself to me it will never be a option ...Something that i have control over it will be done the way i was raised as a child i was raised a Bapisits but i have a realationship with Jesus Christ not a religion there is a big differance you will have to find this out for yourself
Obvious you dont understand the Bible. The rich man story is another of Jesus parable. The Bible says throughout that the dead no nothing, from dust you, are to dust you will return. We sleep in the grave until the return of Jesus that is why he returns. In Corinthians it says the dead in Christ will rise first ,then we that are left will be gathered together and meet in the air. Then we travel to heaven together. We have a God of love not a God of torment.

Cremation??: The Lord has complete control on the day you were conceived and the date n time n circumstances of your death. So, burned in fire to ashes, on the titanic, etc the Lord knows how He in those particular deaths that was directed by God in their walk...He will deal with it. There are/were many born again Christians who were brought to the stake for death because they would not recant the Word of God and Jesus Christ and those martyrs death by fire, etc brought Glory to the name of God and of "whom the world was not worthy."
3 thoughts ....that orginally cremation was/is a pagan practice, the Bible study of just who was cremated and under what circumstances, AND the last thought that it was Hitler who used cremation to dispose of Jewish masses/millions....gives a long pause to a major thought... does God have to specifically, in black n white, forbid cremation for a born again Christian?
If you say "Lord, Lord...What IF u chose the roll of your dice/decision for cremation....it may be His response will be "I never knew you."
How would you know if the rising cost of burial is the world's/Satan's way of detering what pleases the Lord and making it easy for you to decide for cremation to save $$. Quite a quandary for a born again Christian's walk or is it???
