      Im glad you’re still loving the videos. To be honest, ASO did licence the rights to me for this purpose in what I think is a world first for a major sports owner, so they do deserve some credit.

    I’m not a particularly big cycling fan, and I’ve certainly never heard of this race, but I’m loving the highlights. They explain the tactics and thinking behind the various moves rather than simply saying “this happened, then this happened, then this happened...”. Really engaging content. Thank you.

      They actually had to revisit some older design files, as the jawbone had been discontinued for a while, and fabricate a couple models just for him when he lost his a while back.

And no one else on his team should. When you see the IGD jersey and those glasses, you need not wonder who the rider is for another second.
      And, if I were a DS or team manager, my cyclists would all have a signature image.

    Watch the full race and still come to get Lanterne Rouge’s take on the action, definitely adds to the experience. Looking forward to seeing how the channel develops when he lands in Europe and hope his relationship with the ASO grows.

      @Alex Mac The Volta is hardly a tier one race yet look at the views. This channel is what hardcore cycling fans never knew we always wanted.
      The highlights are unbiased and honest. Often explaining the team tactics that official channels can’t. I listen to the podcast on the way to work and then watch the video on the way home. Exceptional coverage.

    This stage was a reminder that the best rider being on the best team is not good news for entertainment. The main reason to be excited for the big days in the summer is that the best rider is on a relatively weak team.

      If I were running ISR, I would be worried about Froome, but that does not mean Woods would become my team leader, certainly not for the TDF. However, I would be making contingency plans. Would love to see Froome make it to the TDF and be competitive. Kind of looks bad though. But, if he is not competitive, ISR should go stage hunting, and not seek GC.

      @@danmc7815 Totally. Froome is in big trouble, he won't have the capability to be a leader at a grand tour this year, that will be Dan Martin if they have a go at GC. Woods won't go for GC but he can (and I believe will) win grand tour stages again this year...he's in just about the best form we've ever seen from him and coming off a big 2020 campaign where he was just recovered from a femur break!

    With INEOS trying to get 123 in GC, Chaves was very smart to attack because Carapaz was almost cooked and INEOS didn't want to pace with Thomas. I'm very happy for Esteban and Team Bike Exchange, they fully deserve it!

      I think he saw a chance to soft attack and just force the ineos hand but he clearly didn't have the legs and was dropped within seconds of being caught so it seemed pointless

    I'm not persuaded it is time to panic about an Ineos juggernaut just yet. Up until this race they had definitely underperformed this year, both individually and collectively. What we are seeing here may be partial illusion, time will tell... wait until they go up against a JV or DQS squad at full strength or need to rein in a powerhouse like Pogacar . They are succeeding at making Almeida look weak, but...

And also, when you attack you don't know up front what the gain is going to be. Again, taking the stage is pretty great outcome for that attack.

      The dude came back from a crash that nearly killed him, is still able to ride a bike in the world tour, and is getting paid a lot of money for it. No-one, apart from maybe his bosses at ISN is expecting him to do anything big anymore. In my opinion he's got a pretty sweet gig going.

    Adam Yates is the best climber? Pff in this race PERHAPS but he sure is shit isn't even the best climber on his own team most of the time. The Yates boys are like Porte et al; superdomestiques people think can be GT contenders but aren't.

    Not agree, all of them were on their limit, Ineos tried to get back Chaves, but they didn´t make it because they couldn´t. Chaves was better than Ineos, just look the faces of Porte, Carapaz Thomas an even Yates they were very on their limits

Ineos was trying to put their authority as G said, Denis and Carapaz blowed up, then Porte and Thomas did their best. Chaves was stronger that is the fact! the rest is speculation.
