Loving this! My preference is the tricycle u/c for looks, but would go for this version for my rough field. Can't wait for the flight video, Martyn! Good choice of aircraft.
Hi gina , as I learnt to fly on a tail dragger , just love them - thought it fitting that I got one like this.....but I do see the attraction to the Tricycle one ...
Great airplane Martyn! I have the original I converted to a tail wheel...close to 400 flights on it now...awesome flyer and one of my favorites! You will love it!
I watched your video about it - I had been holding off getting it because it was nose wheel , thought about a conversion and then this one came out - so grabbed it ....
That’s a nice bird Martyn, looks like a great quality. I too hate the wheel stoppers with a poxy screw sticking out. Will have to catch up with your other builds 👍🏻
Hi Chris - Its a pet hate of mine - good quality aircraft let down by cheap "Poxy" accessories, such as cross head screws, collets with screws sticking out , cheap plastic "snap as you look at them" clevis,s - Oh the list goes on and on and on ...LOL..... But not on this only one item and that's now gone.. Chris - I tend to be a prolific builder at the start of each year - get new additions to my Air Fleet set up and then fly them (Maidens) during the Spring/Summer - Oh and lets not forget the all year round Repairs .....
My "BRIT" accent has local dialect within it -- its not what one calls "Queens English" ,.. as an example I will say "Tuh" as in TUG rather than "The" - I think I am the same as you in respect to the Australian Accent... but it makes me happy that you can now Relax and enjoy the videos without the accent spoiling it for you...
That's a big Bird Martyn!! Looks nice quality, shame about the wheel collette not having a grub screw!! I agree with you that for the money we're paying for these planes they should have better hardware 😄👍
yeah Martyn i think i'd reverse that bolt on the tail plane or at least locktite it good! the nut on the top could work loose and the bolt could fall out like what happened on the F 111A's!!
Hi martyn DEFO GRUB SCREW on the tail wheel. Looks like there getting sloppy. Rudder lights look good any idea how bright they are... This is going to BE A MONSTER. Brian
No Idea at all about lights Brian - I am waiting for the three blade Spinners and Prop to arrive, then I will do a Bind and see what the lights are like.
