Nice video Scott, straight to the point, no unnecessary flamboyant presentation, just honest and clear opinions together with a great demonstration. Like u i researched and RUclipsd it down to two monitors. This and the viltrox dc550. Which one shall i get scott, I can't decide bro?
@@rjmusicltd I think the Viltrox is a newer monitor. It appears to have some features the Feelworld does not including Touchscreen and it comes with a battery. The Viltrox looks quite good to me although I have never personally used it. Thanks for watching!
@@scottdionbrown I ordered the feelworld fw568. I had a shoot and i just could not research and compare anymore as I ran out of time. It just arrived. @@lightleaked I actually just ordered the 85mm Spectrum Lens from 7Artisans. I'll be doing a video on it when it arrives. I'll definitely check out your channel. $30 for a lens is amazing lol. I'll have to look that one up!
Thanks dude! Ya I'm very excited about it. I will have to see how long the battery lasts. I'm doing a shoot with it tomorrow so that will be a good test!
Hi Scott. Love your presentation style! I have this monitor too. This mark 3 version allows custom LUTs, which is a cool feature for LOG shooting. What puzzles me though is that it has a colour temperature setting. I thought it would just pick that up from the camera. And there is no way to turn it off that I can see. Did you run into that? The best I have been able to do is set it to something relatively non-threatening and leave it. PS. I have since read, "Most screens (at least in the West) are around 6500K so generally speaking the whole monitoring pipeline should also be 6500K for consistency". So, looks like a gap in my understanding here about monitoring in general. I just set the Feelworld to 6500K. Job done. Hope that helps someone.
Excellent presentation sir. I do have a question, I am a DSLR shoter (no video) and need something a bit better to see my images than my backscreen (Nikon D700) Would this be a viable option for that. (Let's face it my eyes are getting old!)
Hey thanks so much! As long as you have an hdmi out, it should work just fine. I find the focus assist is very helpful in the field. Anything in focus glows red. And the larger screen is definitely easier to see. Thanks again!
Hilarious review, really cheered me up. Thinking if getting it cheap/used. How good is the focus peaking? I just got the legendary canon 1dc after years of wanting it and it basically needs a monitor to be usable.
@@Chengmaster Ya mine plays audio. I just have to plug headphones into the headphone jack. I wonder if there's a way to switch the audio output in camera settings. Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much! There is a USB port on the monitor but it is labeled "USB UPGRADE". I don't think it is meant to be used to power the device. I believe it is just for software upgrades. Thanks for watching!
Hmmm. That I do not know. I think you could hook it up to any device with an HDMI output. So, if the iPhone can plug into a TV via HDMI, then it should also work on this monitor. Thanks for watching!
I found filming in 4k is not completely accurate on the monitor. With focus peaking, for example, it's a good general guide but I tend to punch in on my touchscreen to double check. Thanks for watching!
It does need a battery or DC plug to power it. I'm powering mine off the v-mount battery. There's also a DC output on it so you can go through the monitor and power the camera too if you want. Thanks for watching!
Nice screen with lots of cool features, unfortunately it only works when im not recording, when i hit the record button, i get a black screen. Im using a Lumix G7
Hmmm that's quite annoying. I did a quick search and some people are encountering this issue when recording 4K video. They're saying they switched off 'proxy recording' to fix it. Not sure if this is your solution too. I hope you can solve it. Thanks for watching!
It looks like you have to email them the exact model number of your monitor and they will send it to you. Try this link: feelworld.ltd/pages/firmware-upgrade
Thanks for watching! What are your thoughts on this monitor? Is there another one you'd recommend?
I just got mine in the mail today, hence why im watching this video. Smashed the like button

Great video production and editing, man! Keep it up!!

I can’t get mines back on full screen
I haven't encountered this issue myself. I wish I could help. A few others in the comments have had the same issue. I hope you're able to solve it.
Does it come with a power source? Battery? Power cable?
Any idea why mine isn’t full screen? I’ve been through all the settings. Won’t change the ratio.
Same issue here. So annoying. Sometimes it works right. then other times the screen is small
What kind of battery goes into the monitor?
You can attach a Sony NP-F550 battery to the back of it but I power it using my V-Mount battery. Thanks for watching!
@@scottdionbrown thanks!
how can I update the firmware via USB?
I believe it's done through the Feelworld website. I've never done it myself so I'm not entirely sure.

how do you upgrade the firmware?
I believe it's done through the Feelworld website. I've never done it myself so I'm not totally sure. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for a good overview. Out of interest, was the unit provided to you for review and, if so, did you get to keep it FOC?
Thanks for watching! Nope it was not provided. I bought it myself and still use it today.
Is the brightness of the monitor sufficient enough?
I just did a shoot with it in daylight outdoors and it worked great. The shade around the sides helps too. I'm very happy with it.
Can you hook this up to an iPhone 13pro? I shoot short movies on my iPhone and need an external monitor.
Hmmm. That I do not know. I think you could hook it up to any device with an HDMI output. So, if the iPhone can plug into a TV via HDMI, then it should also work on this monitor. Thanks for watching!
Do you know if it would be suitable or would be compatible if it work or fit on a Sony zv1 at all please ?
