  • The Hyundai Venue N Line is the go-to compact SUV if you want performance and features, however, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor that is based on the Maruti Fronx, is also quite fun to drive and gets good kit too. Saumil Shah finds out which one is better.

    Toyota Taisor weighs 1060Kg @ 7:40
    Venue weighs 1202 Kg @ 10:22
    Considering just 142 kg weight difference , and venue being 20hp more power, and extra 24 Nm torque means that
    Suzuki boosterjet is better tuned engine than Hyundai TGDI engine.
    venue has 13.39% more weight , but has 20% more power and 16.2% more torque.

    The venue used here is an older one. Venue has 3 headrest now on the rear seat and the rear armrest is gone. The most important feature that Venue has since last Nov is level 1 ADAS and integrated air purifier

    Venue from outside is as big as Nexon, but once we sit in the driver seat it feels so small like an alto

      Seriously bro..😂😂😂 there is coincidence that I have both nexon and venue. My elder brother uses the venue and trust me the venue is far better than nexon in terms of space and performance. Rear passengers feel more comfortable in venue

    • @nirmallyabanerjee
      @nirmallyabanerjee Месяц назад +2

      Exactly so and sonet is more crumpy inside, I think in sub 4 segment, most spacious with decent boot is only brezza.
      Even before buying my car taken Baleno, as more space inside than venue.

    • @eriktenhag2022
      @eriktenhag2022 Месяц назад

      True. Interior space is one of the weak points of the venue. The fit and finish is far better than the Nexon though, the quality of the materials used inside is also superior to the Nexon.
      Safety wise, venue is questionable, HMG's much more expensive 20 lac seltos failed quite miserably in the crash test (barely scraped past 2 stars), so until the venue/sonet is crash tested, it remains questionable.

    Suzuki should use this booster jet engine in ciaz and baleno, baleno did have an RS version earlier with the same engine but discontinued due to low sales

    Both are great great cars much better than TATA cars which have pathetic engine. Nexon's 120 hp engine performs even worse than an i10 .

  • @tankachen
    @tankachen Месяц назад +19

    Comparisons always show the power and torque figures, but usually omit the weight, which is a key factor of performance. Here there are 250kg difference, so the power/weight ratio is in favour of the Taisor despite a less powerful engine. You mention the weight of the Venue, but I don't think you mentioned that of the Taisor (or I may have missed the moment). Anyway, great review that give a good feel of both these cars.

      Venue N line has better handling then Taisor, it has all 4 disc brake it has better Gearbox, Venue 1.0 Turbo engine revs higher, then how can Taisor win?

    • @sidharth6080
      @sidharth6080 Месяц назад +12

      250kgs? The weight difference between Taisor turbo AT and Venue DCT's is around 120-130kgs. Where are those extra 20bhp and 28Nm of Venue gone? Engine wise Boosterjet is slightly better than Turbo Gdi of Hyundai.

      Point noted. We have mentioned the weights at 7:40 and 10:22 for the Taisor and Venue respectively. Next time, we'll put up a slate where these can be compared directly.

    How is this a comparison? Forgive me for my ignorance if I’ve got it totally wrong but if I was looking for a compact SUV I’m not sure if I would ever consider the Taisor. We can very clearly see how both cars look from the outside and the Taisor does does have SUV proportions or design. And trust me I’ve sat inside the Fronx and driven it, which is the exact same as the Taisor here, and it feels EXACTLY like a hatchback, zero SUV feel. Not to say that it is not a good car, in fact I quite like it and I know that a lot of people too like the crossover look but I’m sorry I just don’t see this two cars as a good comparison.
