I was there for that show! It’s funny, the Kilowatt is a tiny little bar in The Mission District and yet on the 25th of that months the Deli Creeps played at The Fillmore, which is a pretty big venue in San Francisco (and just the month before on 4/17 Giant Robot played at Slims in SF). I truly miss the days in the 1990s when you could almost count on seeing Buckethead play live at least once a month somewhere here in the Bay Area in various different groups or solo. That’s also the time period (1996) when Alex Skolnick of Testament was playing live frequently in the Bay Area with his “Skol Patrol” band featuring bassist Michael Manring and Charlie Hunter was in the Bay Area playing at all kinds of little clubs like The Elbow Room. For a fan of great guitar players, it was an awesome time for live music. Sadly, those days seem gone forever. 😢
Wish bucket still used this tone and shredded like this these days. His speed was fulminating back then with great reverb and delay with chorus affects which made his music and shredding so balanced and perfect. He's mastered so much as he grew into so many styles but I wish he would just go back to these staccato runs with the neck pickup with constant alternate picking where now days he pauses in the picking and plays alot of the same scales for his shredding. Yet still the greatest guitarists ever and my total inspiration to playing. Just miss these old flaring shred fest where he didn't have a dry tone or used the wah but rather sticking to this classic tone.
I really wish Buckethead would get off of this demonic Devil worshiping crap and get into what he does best. In this song you see it, and you feel it. And in his classic role electric, you see it as well. Here’s a major league talent stuck in a generation that’s gone. And he started to creep out of it and it’s super exciting. But until Buckethead decides he’s going to make that change, we’re just gonna have to wade through the stuff he continues to do. Every once in a while, you see him peek through to something amazing. He just needs to walk away from the daemonic 90s and early 2000s and open that door. He’s right here to do it, it’s just a matter of him making that decision that he’s wasting his time in the past. He’s a future of guitar not the past. I’m more than sure she’s ready for change as well.
Don't do any research for yourself, he says. It's cool to have an opinion and all, but listen to Oak Island Natternet did an animated vid for recently. It sounds like it could be in a Huey Lewis setlist! Sounds like you can't get past his image, and are expecting anyone to care

I was there for that show! It’s funny, the Kilowatt is a tiny little bar in The Mission District and yet on the 25th of that months the Deli Creeps played at The Fillmore, which is a pretty big venue in San Francisco (and just the month before on 4/17 Giant Robot played at Slims in SF).
I truly miss the days in the 1990s when you could almost count on seeing Buckethead play live at least once a month somewhere here in the Bay Area in various different groups or solo.
That’s also the time period (1996) when Alex Skolnick of Testament was playing live frequently in the Bay Area with his “Skol Patrol” band featuring bassist Michael Manring and Charlie Hunter was in the Bay Area playing at all kinds of little clubs like The Elbow Room. For a fan of great guitar players, it was an awesome time for live music. Sadly, those days seem gone forever. 😢

Wish bucket still used this tone and shredded like this these days. His speed was fulminating back then with great reverb and delay with chorus affects which made his music and shredding so balanced and perfect. He's mastered so much as he grew into so many styles but I wish he would just go back to these staccato runs with the neck pickup with constant alternate picking where now days he pauses in the picking and plays alot of the same scales for his shredding. Yet still the greatest guitarists ever and my total inspiration to playing. Just miss these old flaring shred fest where he didn't have a dry tone or used the wah but rather sticking to this classic tone.

I really wish Buckethead would get off of this demonic Devil worshiping crap and get into what he does best. In this song you see it, and you feel it. And in his classic role electric, you see it as well. Here’s a major league talent stuck in a generation that’s gone. And he started to creep out of it and it’s super exciting. But until Buckethead decides he’s going to make that change, we’re just gonna have to wade through the stuff he continues to do. Every once in a while, you see him peek through to something amazing. He just needs to walk away from the daemonic 90s and early 2000s and open that door. He’s right here to do it, it’s just a matter of him making that decision that he’s wasting his time in the past. He’s a future of guitar not the past. I’m more than sure she’s ready for change as well.
